SayakaQuest Thread 10: Glory To The Death

The idea of the timestop just before hitting the ground, and walking people off, also seems mayyybe feasible. It depends on if Homura can keep the timestop up indefinitely as long as she keeps cleansing, or if it's fixed duration that she has to restart after every 5 minutes. If it's a fixed duration, the fraction of a second to renew it will likely make that impractical when the building is a fraction of a second from hitting the ground.

The...what. Kyouko brought it up, guys. There were several posts dedicated to it.

What the fuck, guys.

I was kind of wondering why we were still trying to grab the seed, but I assumed I must have missed something.

Mmm, I assumed the same thing. Normally my MO is to point thing out I think people are missing (or just lurk. I spend a lot of time lurking), but I guess I've been slacking...

We should try other ways to slow down the building in which we are, each second counts, and the strategy of plan A, B, C worked out pretty well

[x] "Ran, Homura, continue the rescue operation, we will find out how to land safely"
[x] Plan A. Start spamming as many platforms as possible under the falling building to try to help slow it down.
-[x] If doesnt work, then plan B. Ask Akane, Kagura, and Ako if they could slow down the building without destroying it using their powers.
--[x] If they can´t slow down the building, plan C. Use carefully controled explosions under the building, and use the explosion shock waves to slow it down. Be extra careful to avoid destroying the building.
---[x] If that also fail ask :"Someone has any idea of how to slow down this fucking thing?"
[x] If we can´t slow down the bulding, catch as many civilians as you can, try to push the building to the ground during timestop and making it land safely. Use barriers and blade blocks to protect the civilians of the incoming debris, Akane can also intercept it.
-[x] If that also fails, move inmediately to the ground with Akane and Kyouko, create a wall of barriers and blade blocks to create a safe area to move the civilians, Akane uses firefist to intercept the incoming debris. Then timestop just before the building touches the ground, have Homura and Ran moving civilians to the safe area
--[x] After moving the civilians, move Walmart´s seed to the safe area

You know, if we break the building into small enough pieces, we might be able to have Akane run them out of the area the debris is landing at.

Ako could also be put on debris-destroying duty, if our chunk of land lands while there's still some other stuff in the air.

[x] Have Yuri powder the ground that we're going to land on using sonics.

You look at the giant Grief Seed nearby, then below...before you raise a hand and spam. A full-sized platform made of hundreds of swords appears below, and immediately, both the building, you and the seed crash through it. The building's slightly damaged, and as the population inside increases, you see several people shaken and moved by the hit.

You make another structure, then another, then another. Swords explode and explode and explode as you plow through the platforms, with the first and second actually causing damage to the makeshift bunker you have. The third, however, it angled just enough that you can slow down, but it doesn't damage you, the building, or the people inside. The hit glances, and the structure, though barely holding together, manage to stay in one piece.

You turn to Ako. "CAN YOU POWDERIZE THE GROUND?!" You scream.

She looks at you, then the ground, before she shakes her head...and then Yuri dashes forwards and nods rapidly. Behind her, Akane screams as she pulls on several chains, with your girlfriend holding on just as tightly. "N-YES!"

And with that, Yuri falls, speeding her descent with a boost of speed and a parting of sound.

You fall through cloud cover, parting them and shining the sun right where you're about to land. Debris is falling faster than your building; that's a good sign, at the very least.

Beside you, screaming past, are the remains of Walpurgis' coliseum burning red-hot as they streak through the atmosphere in huge chunks, before exploding violently into thousands of tiny pieces.

On the ground, you can see an enormous crater, courtesy of Walpurgisnacht's city-destruction, sitting right in the center of several hundred roadways. You scream, before you press your gem against the giant seed, and raise your hand to slow down your descent. You don't have much longer until you hit the ground.

This is it, fellas.

Wow, the platform idea actually worked in a way. So huh... what now? Just brace for impact because we practically can't do much else?

[x] Brace for impact.

Unless there's something else reasonably enough to be pulled right now. :\

[q] Reverse gravitational polarity
[q] Fuck up that tangent line
[x] BRACE FOR FUCKING IMPACT.
[q] Grab Koko in a tight hug

[x] BRACE FOR FUCKING IMPACT.
Shame I caught up only for the end of Walpurgis. Ah well, at least I'm here.

Assuming the last line means that Sayaka hasn't stopped making platforms...

[x] Brace for impact.

I do wonder what Akane is doing back there, though.
