[x] Walk to the curtain.
You all walk towards the curtain...and as you do, the audience continues to be silent. As you get closer, though, they all begin to move one-by-one. They watch your party, stand upright, and then take their seats in the arena around.
The curtains move only slightly in the wind...but as soon as you get close, you can see just how big they are...bigger than your old apartment complex. Bigger than most
buildings and
skyscrapers. They stretch above you, before suddenly, there's a click, a whir, and the sound of ruffling cloth.
And just as you get close, there's the sound of a timer ringing, before the crowd stands and applauds. There's a great spray of confetti and ticker tape, as suddenly, the stage whisks itself open.
In the center is a doll, one made of gold. Its back is attached to the center podium by a pole...before it detaches itself. It wears a blue dress, its face is locked in a permanent smile, and despite its size, it is perfectly articulated. It stands before you...and does a curtsy.
And with that, the buildings around you unfold, and hands emerge from the buildings around. The city in the sky is now a stage.
It's time for the play.
