Probably on account of the whole "City floating in the sky" thing. I mean said city/witch is going to vanish once Walpy dies and if it does that in mid air ain't no civvies surviving that particular fall. If it crashes first then some MIGHT survive...that assumes that the buildings returning to normal/dissolving/whatever don't crush them while it dies or something.

You stare at the civilians, before Kyouko taps your shoulder and motions for you to move. "It's probably a trap." She says.

"I...I know." You say as you look back, before you shake your head and keep moving. "...I know."

"Hey, doesn't mean it feels good." She mutters. "...That's kinda why I love you."

"What?"

"Well, you wanna help people." She smiles. "I mean, you're a cutie, but..."

"Less flirting. More moving." Homura says, tersely, before she puts away her minigun ammo and pack, pulls out a bandolier and wraps it over her armor. She crosses her arms and pulls out an AA-12, before pushing a drum with green rounds into it. "We're so close."

If you look closely, you can see her smiling.

Homura's just jealous because she couldn't bring her girlfriend to flirt with without getting her killed or turned into a witch. Her time away from Madoka also seems to have her tempting fate. Quit that, Homura.

Also, I was just watching Rebellion, and I got to thinking: what would actually qualify as a Good End for us? I mean yeah, not dying to Walmartnight, but after that? I mean it's just a matter of time either we or Kyouko die to a witch.

This is pre-Madokami. Sayaka's good end is relative. A True Good End simply cannot exist in the PMMM setting pre-Madokami.

I'll damn well settle for "Everyone Sayaka knows the name of survives and has been shipped."

Seems like that is the best we could do, yeah. It's kind of bleak, but hey; we'll have given death the finger for at least a little while.

Edit: also, the knowledge that we likely saved countless lives in cities Wally would have attacked, had it been allowed to continue existing.

I always thought the good end was when you got strong enough that witches weren't really a threat to you anymore, so you'd always be able to take them out and never run out of seeds.

Think T6 powerlevel without the wanting to die.
 
That should happen on its own naturally with time Sight. That level of strength is just a matter of either experience or straight up power level and since Sayaka provably doesn't have power but has also provably been shown she's basically unkillable...She'll get there eventually.

As I see it there's two 'paths to power' for Meguca: Raw Power of Technical Skill. Haruko and Sora are examples of the former and Kyouko an example of the latter. Mami was a combination of the both.

Sayaka, with her measly 1k max corruption and her healing powerset, will simply never match up to others in terms of raw power. Therefore she has to tread the path of Technical Skill. This takes time, time that she's almost guaranteed to get due to said healing power and armor.

Thus, it might be years before Saka gets the Technical Skill needed to steamroll anything she comes across but she damn well has a better chance of getting there than, say, Chou.

Kind of like Kyouko did...only with the safety net of high speed regeneration to cover any major injuries in the years it'll take for Saka to get to that level.

"You cheating fucking shit stain of a plant! You're not supposed to pop out when someone's standing on the pipe! That's cheating! I call bullshit!"

"Uhh Sayaka your leg..."

"Huh? Oh." *Blue flash* "All done...cheating fucking plants. Let's kill the Witch and go get some ice cream..." *grumbles more about cheating assholes*
