I really don't see any way we can help more than one or two civilians while Wally is still up and fighting. Hell even afterwards we're basically a drop in the ocean. Most of our healing magic is slow and expensive. We waste every seed our group has, dooming everyone, and we'll save like 100-200 people tops out of a city of hundreds of thousands. That's like <0.1%. Magical search and rescue we could do, getting people out of buildings and towards paramedics. Call that 1000-2000 people before everyone collapses from exhaustion. It's just the scale of the thing. It's too big.

Madoka's wish is the only thing that could save em, and that's not an option. Not with it dooming the world and all.
 
I doubt outside help's coming. Not unless Wally has popped up on the scopes of nearby radar installations and airports/airbases. But that's a massive stretch.

It is kinda dissonant. Almost... religious, kinda like a stained glass display you'd find in a cathedral or something.
