Apparently not. Well, I'm out of ideas. She can just break through anything we could fence her in with, and she's too fast to catch up to. Anyone else got a plan? 'Cus just rushing her ain't gonna work.
Last time didn't she just pull us up, not towards her?If we get yanked towards Mami, we can boost into her and tear her apart.
Fucking W+Mumi1's. Also, interesting, but only useful as a distraction at best.mumi op pls nerf
Also, I changed a bit of the post. The barrier is slowing her down, even if she's blazing through them.
Which is why we'd be using a direct melee attack instead of a ranged attack. Our mistake before was giving her a few fractions of a second to dodge. If we melee attack, by the time she could start moving, our sword would already have started cutting.OK, Mami has gotten her missing hand back, and it gives her exceptional range.
Random idea: Summon a swarm of needles aimed directly into the ribbon she's holding us with, and when they embed, explode them? Depends on whether that or just cutting with the sword seems easier.
I wouldn't bet on a Homura plan being at all workable. She dodged two dozen Wave Rends, and once she has a hold of Homura, all timestop shenanigans are moot.
True. The only reason I suggest this is the absolute speed at which Mami was able to a) dismantle our tactical countermeasures and then b) gain the upper hand (against 2 opponents, no less) suggests that we and Kyouko are far too slow to stand a chance of defeating her.Should we just go straight back to timestop, though? I know we need to finish her quickly, but I don't want to go straight back to it, if for no more than the metagame reason that the GM probably won't allow the exact same trick to work twice in a row unless we go way the hell overboard and nuke her from orbit.
She'd only be able to enter time stop for the brief period of time in which we were directly in contact with her, i.e. when she's being sliced in two. Hardly enough time to both dodge and mount a counterattack. Mami's fast, but not that fast. If she dodges, she exits timestop again, and if she doesn't, she dies. Win-win, really.Direct melee means she enters timestop. Once she's figured out timestop, she'll keep a ribbon on Homura in order to prevent her from using it. So let's avoid that. A better idea would be to use wave-rend in timestop, while also sending rends towards the areas she'd dodge to in order to avoid the main attack (I'm pretty sure this strategy was mentioned earlier, but didn't make it into the final vote)
I know I said not to worry too much about conservation, but at that rate we'd run out seeds. We still have to kill all the other familiars (and hope to god anyone we lost died rather than witching out), and then get our asses back up to Wally to smack her out of TPK'ing us again. I'm not saying we can't timestop here, but let's make sure that's really our only course of action before we use it.True.
