Provided this is directed at my remark, trust me, I don't give that much of a fuck. It was more commentary at all the [jk] votes. Nothing wrong with relishing the suffering of parents.

IT'S A FUNNY STORY, EHEHEHE
Actually I read somewhere around 2,000 WPM (which may increase or decrease depending on the size of the text, how it's formatted, and how tired I am). I discovered AsukaQuest while browsing TvTropes around 1500 my time yesterday. It is now 0700 AM the next day. I've basically been reading non-stop for the time, save for one food break and one shower. I was hoping to catch up on SayakaQuest before/during the next update (since everyone seems to be going Ugolino this route).

Sadly? Story-only. The only exceptions are when the links on the front page didn't work (which happened mainly on Thread 1) and forced me to scroll down to find the next post. That didn't waste too much time. I also read the last 4 pages of the Final thread just to see if there was any post-completion material I missed. If I had read every single post on all six of those threads I think my brain would be comparable to a slurpee.
 
Man, I keep hearing people talking about reading the Story-only AsukaQuest and I keep kicking myself for not noticing there was one and reading through all the threads. While entertaining, it is still 4 days of my life I will never get back. And the eye-strain.

Okay, now I'm officially confused. Is 'story-only' referring to only the content that directly related to the plot of NGE, or is it the six threads?

The story-only is that. Story only. Only what is relevant to NGE which is Moid's updates. In the threads are stuff like votes, omakes, reactions...

Thanks for the welcome! And don't worry, I've got plenty of tears for any deconstruction-type anime.

And phew, cool, glad to see I haven't gone insane from reading that all at once (though that might be debatable once I tackle SayakaQuest. 10 threads looks like a lot!)

Sometimes there just isn't an easy fix, particularly when the problem has to do with something as complex and important as the people we love.
