If at all possible I think Madoka should take the lead here. For one, it's her damn family. For two...well, she wanted to do something and not feel useless right?

It might make her feel more guilty or something, though. Maybe.

Either way, that's what we're already voting to do ("Help Madoka", not "Start telling everyone"). The question is how well (or not) Madoka will be able to handle taking the lead here--would stepping in at some point hurt her more than help her, or vice-versa?
 
Two things to consider:

1) Magic demonstration is probably a good idea - nothing expensive or dangerous, just something slightly impossible to lend weight.

2) Madoka is a potential, not a PM... Would that mean that QB would wipe the memories of Madodad and Madomom as "bystanders" unless Madoka contracts and tells them? I'm thinking we probably should explicitly tell the bunnycat not to, lest we get screwed over.

I think they count as close friends/family of a PM (Sayaka has known Junko and Tomohisa for years, and they're her best friends' parents. Junko is also a long-time best friend of Miho, Sayaka's mom). And wiping her parents' memories is not a good way to convince Madoka to contract.

If they don't know why they need to get the hell outta town, they'll still be in town when Walburger hits, and then Madoka will have to contract to save them. Impeccable!

"She needs to hear it from Madoka." You say. "She...she really does."

Your mom pauses on the other end. "...She'll be on her way." She hangs up.

A few minutes later, and both your mom and Junko are back. You can see Junko somewhat relieved. "You got me out of a meeting!" She sighs in relief.

"M-Mom?" Madoka asks.

"What is it?" She answers. "I mean, it has to be good if I was pulled out of my job for it." She leans forwards. "Let's be frank, thanks for the interruption, but-"

"Mom..." Madoka takes a breath. "I-I...I really need to say something."

Madoka's mom stops, before she frowns. "...Oh. Are you okay?"

"I am...a bit." Madoka takes a breath.

You move closer to Madoka. "If you need help, Madoka-"

"I-I can do this." She says. "I...yes, I can." She looks at Homura. "Mom...my girlfriend...is...she's a magical girl."

Both Junko and Tomohisa look confused for a second. "...Well, she's certainly romanced you quickly-"

"I'm serious!" Madoka says. "I-I...!" Just before she starts, there's a flash of purple light. In a series of clicks and whirs, you can see her uniform appearing over her body, before it washes over her.

"It wasn't some kind of joke." Homura says. "Both Sayaka and Kyouko? They're the same."

Madoka's parents seem to just stare at her in slight awe, before they turn to you. Your hold on Kyouko's hand tightens, before you take your soul gem off of your finger. You put it into your palm, and suddenly it grows from the ring to its full size. "...Yeah."

Kyouko frowns. "She's right."

Junko and Tomohisa just seem to be staring in awe. "You...that's real." Junko mutters. "It's like something out of a show and it's real." She shakes her head in disbelief, while your mom just frowns.

"B-but unlike the shows it..." Madoka takes a breath. "I-it comes with a horrible cost." She looks at her mom. "A-a few weeks ago...I knew another one. H-her name was Mami..." She goes into detail, from how Mami was such a powerful magical girl, to how graceful she was. She talks about how she was able to make you become one, and how she seemed to have a beef with Homura...then she talks about her final fight.
To this day, you still remember it vividly.
Madoka can't stop the tears from falling as she talks. She talks about how she was mourning for several days. And how you became a magical girl soon after.
Her neck stretched grotesquely, before the skin broke. Her soul gem hadn't shattered.
She talks about how being a magical girl means that, in order to survive, you need to hunt. How your soul was ripped from your body. Miho just seems to look away, uncomfortable.

She talks about how terrible it is to be a magical girl...and what is coming.

"In a few days..." Madoka gulps. "S-something is going to come." She's still crying a little. "S-something horrible. I-it will kill so...so many people."

"...is..." Tomohisa gulps. "Is it a witch?"

Madoka nods.
