SayakaQuest Thread 10: Glory To The Death

[X] Meet Kyubey, the fucker behind this entire mess. Do not trust a single thing he says- even if he doesn't seem to lie, he has no problem leaving out every single important detail from what he does tell you, and timing what he says to cause the most emotional damage possible. His sole goal in life seems to be to trick as many girls as possible into contracting, before driving them to literally suicidal levels of despair. No matter what he says, what argument he makes, it doesn't change the true purpose of what he's telling you- to have Madoka contract, and then die horribly.
 
I'm curious, though: what are the odds that Madoka could wish the Incubators, their entire race, and all witches out of existence? Maximum troll against Kyubey?
Not actually suggesting it as a course of action. Just kind of morbidly curious about what would happen.

Also: does Madoka really not know about the witchbomb? I thought she did...?

You look at the door where Tatsuya is, and you run. You pull the door open and, as soon as you do, you can see Kyubey on the ground, wriggling as Tatsuya giggles. It rolls on the ground, squirming as Tatsuya pets it.

'You see, Madoka has the potential strength and power to defeat Walpurgsnacht easily! All she needs to do is-!'

You quickly grab him, and as you do, you can see Tatsuya starting to cry. "B-bunny?"

You run out, close the door, open a window, and throw him outside. As soon as you do, you watch to make sure he hits the pavement...and he does. He rolls across the road, before he's hit by a compact car.

You take a relaxed breath.

'...You're so easy to unsettle, Miki.' Your back stiffens. You feel a chill running down your spin as you see him walking across the ground in front of you. 'As are you, Kaname.'

The family just stares at him, then at you.

[x]That thing is Kyubey.

You grab his head, and you squeeze it as tightly as you can. As you do, it just stares at you unblinkingly. "This...thing is Kyubey." You say. "It's the one behind all of this. It's an inhuman monster responsible for making new magical girls." You clench its head tighter. "This thing isn't even its real body!" As your grip tightens, its legs dangle helplessly. "It doesn't tell you the truth before you make the contract And then it tries to get us t-to-!" You want to say it. You want to tell them...but you know what it'd do. "...It tries to get us killed." You say. "It doesn't even care. And it's been trying to get Madoka since..."

Madoka's grip on Homura's hand gets even tighter.

"Since we first met it." You say, quietly.

'She can do so much good for this world.' Kyubey says. 'And you're wasting her potential as a magical girl.' He turns. 'You could stop Walpurgisnacht. Perhaps even become a god.'

As soon as he says that, Madoka looks away. You can see her teeth clenching.

Kill Kyubey and give a Meguca is suffering speech is my vote here. Madoka's told her parents what she knew, which means the whole soul rip, hunt to survive thing, but not the Witch bomb.

Yes, this is going to traumatize Mikimom, but I strongly feel that we really need to lay out some very specific negatives here to counter what Kyubey just said. Escalating to "Kyubey wants girls to die" is, once again, far too close to the Witch bomb for comfort and going straight into Walpurgis is coming, gotta leave is a massive and abrupt topic change.
 
Killing it won't do anything. We already "killed" it. If Kyubey wants to be here, he will be.

Perhaps we should instead point out how Kyubey and his kind are responsible for creating WPN, witches in general, and he could probably make WPN die if he wanted to, but won't.

And now might be a good time for the witchbomb, assuming Madoka doesn't already know it. Because "becoming a god" is definitely going to eat away at her if she doesn't know that there's a risk she could become a witch powerful enough to end the world.

Thanks for playing, Sayaka gets Cold Tea'd in the next timeline because she's a raging bitch that ruins everything ever, every single time.

It is NEVER a good time for the witchbomb what the hell? And yes, everyone wants their TEENAGE DAUGHTER to become god :rolleyes:. Yeah no fuck that, we tell her that we don't want madoka to have to deal with the issues that we have to deal with. The Kaname's are 1) good people and 2) GOOD PARENTS. They aren't going to let their daughter do anything that's going to end up hurting her.

...yes she is. She brought Junko back to Kanamehouse.
