SayakaQuest Thread 10: Glory To The Death

[x] Keep talking to Tomo.

JOIN THE LESBIANS MUAHAHAHAH

Everytime things get comfy like this, I get paranoid looking for invisitext.

[x] Keep talking to Tomo
- Don't pressure her, just let her know we're here if she want to talk.

[x] Everyone
-[x] just chill and bond for as long as they want to hang out. NORMAL things, let everyone forget about the whole MG world for a bit
- pancakes vs. waffles - what video game character would you be? - what one thing would you take to a deserted isle? - that kinda thing, just get everyone talking to everyone else.

[x] Akane, after the younglings are gone
-[x] Would she be willing to come back to Tokyo with us to help broadcast telepathically? Call me crazy, but I'd like to offer the girls there a chance to join us for Walpurgisnacht.

Sorry about all the edits. Dunno what I'm doing wrong, but I can't seem to load it except as a link.

Anyways, Kyoko has learned our fear of spiders, and since I always pictured her as mischievous...

... That's a Terrible Idea. In capital letters.

How quickly do you think the witches around the area will be depleted with many of the Tokyo girls running around? We need a large fucking stockpile of Grief seeds to fight Walpurgis. And the area is over capacity as it is.

And Mitikhara would turn into a warzone. We don't want that. Especially now, with the newbies still getting their feet wet.

Maybe it is, for plenty of reasons, but I think I've given the wrong impression.

I'm not talking about opening up Mitikihara to all comers. It's already beyond capacity, and we can make that clear. Our ability to hold our teritory shouldn't be in question after the Tokyo 6. (No one outside of our group will know how desperately close those fights were).

What I want is to offer them a chance to die well. Once you make a contract, there's only 2 possible fates for you: death or witchification. I'd be surprised if there weren't some girls out there who'd rather go the Mami route, esp. if it meant they could die a hero. Walpurginacht IS coming, the greatest witch any of us have ever seen, and we know where and when she'll land. She'll destroy most if not all of the magical girls who go up against her. What better opportunity to make a stand and die the way you want?
Or you can stay and be farmed into a witch as sustinence for the next iteration of the Tokyo 6.

All that said, the idea still has a ton of risks, and I'd be surprised if it made it out of the gate. But Sayaka, even the more jaded version in this story, is an idealist. And someone has to throw the crazy ideas out there, it might as well be me.

Yeah, no, that kind of cold-blooded manipulation wouldn't work out for the character. Idealist would be "not going to fight people for grief seeds, kill over them, or let others do that", which is what we're going with right now.

I was the one to originally suggest a Toyko recruiting trip way, way back when- and it's not a good idea at this point with this situation. If nothing else, we don't have time, and neither is it a priority to go recruit complete strangers/send someone into the grinder completely unprepared.

Well, okay, I'll point out the obvious. If we tell these girls the truth, they won't be all "okay, doopy doo, gonna go sacrifice muh life now and fight big blue death witch," they'll say "AW SHIT I'M GONNA DIE" and smash their own gems or "Oh, okay then, I'll just break my gem when it's looking dark" and tell us to fuck off.

Oh, yeah, and Sayaka conscripting MGs into a battle that doesn't concern them and will probably kill them? Leaving behind the city she's supposed to be protecting just to get the word out? Not very honorable.

In his defense (heh), I think a lot of the Tokyo girls are already clued into the Meguca Life, courtesy of being farmed by the Six- and he was referring to the "grief seeds/magical girls" ratio rather than that.

Still awful, but less "Blueberry goes and spreads despair and witchbombs to everyone" and more "please come die for us instead of in your hometown"...which isn't much better, character-wise.

What's going on here? Did someone made a godawful plan?
