Describe it thenYou're right, I only need to stat out one mantle, but I need a name/title for that mantle.

It's his nobler, more civilised & stately side who is more likely to take up the sword in defence of honour. The part of him who actually fell in love with Gerd & was willing to change for her. Embodying more summer & war rather than fertility & masculinity.
Dunno much about Freyr's titles, but if you need some different names to differentiate mantles he's also known as Yngvi, progenitor of the Yngling dynasty. It's his nobler, more civilised & stately side who is more likely to take up the sword in defence of honour. Hey folks! Redlines are flying back to writers as we speak and we're gearing up for the second iteration of playtests. I'll be doing a blog post in early February detailing a lot of the stuff we've gotten back from playtests, and a bit on some of the research our authors are doing for their pantheons. Work is also underway on plotting out all of the stretch goals, including the fiction anthology and large swaths of the Companion. I'm really looking forward to diving into things like the Scion 1e conversion (with bonus Epic Attributes converted to 2e) and the various mantles of other deities. Until then, here's a piece from the rough draft of the setting chapter, on Terra Incognita. Scion: Demigod had them as a feature piece of the World, but honestly, they're too cool for me to wait on, and I wanted them front and center in this edition. Malcolm Sheppard was just the man to write it. Please keep in mind that this is the rough draft of the chapter, without my added redlines. Enjoy!
Eh. "Primordial world-body manifestation of pure darkness that you reach from the Underworld" was a thing since 1e core.

Hell, it's an actual plot-point in Shinto Mythology.the Underworld(and the dead things inside it) being really unpleasant is a mythological staple going back thousands of years.
that is not what they are. Underworld primordials are specifically noted as not forms, which would dakrness be, but anti concepts.Update also includes a quote from Neall on the project status.

I mean, the very next sentence goes "They are places where Chaos reigns and Darkness speaks," and I don't know how to interpret that bit and its Significant Capitalization other than Underworld Primordials being all about things like the Chaos and Darkness Purviews. Plus, darkness is the absence of light, chaos is associated with mutation, and the 1e Chaos Titan wanted to destroy everything from the World to its fellow Titans. So it all sounds to me more like some of the spookier Primordials are getting shoved off to the Underworld than that there's a whole different kind of Neverbornish Primordial in them.that is not what they are. Specifically
" Certain Primordials dwell in the Underworld as well. Their realms personify forms ofdestruction, absence and mutation. Unlike the Primordials of the Overworld, those of the Underworld do not represent manifest Forms, but the unmaking of essential things."
Well, that basically sounds to me like this:many mythologies did not have Underworld as dark place of decay. it was mostle drearys hole ,because you were dead and that was not desirable state.
Terra Incognita prview said:But most pantheons who keep Shades do not see their Underworlds as places of punishment, but simply necessary.
I guess this thread is alright for that?Where do I go to discuss Scion 1E? 'cuz I need help statting out my PC for my first game (Albeit a solo game...I have no RP-interested friends.).
Dex all day everyday.
If I go with Artemis or Hermes maybe.
Lore said:Story; There has been a coup, Zeus has been toppled from his throne and Apollo now rules Olympus in his place. Having disguised their true nature all this time until they were ready to fulfill the prophecy and overthrow their father. Like the past two monarchs before him, Zeus was castrated by his traitorous offspring, stripping him of his potency in more ways than one. Now, Olympus is in an uproar as the Sun God is imposing new social reform policies throughout the entire religion, and the children of the Theoi are getting dragged into the mix!
Well, join Apollo. Anyone who castrates Zeus can't be that bad.

Anyway, what kind of character do you want to play?
Huh, I would've expected either Athena or Dionysus rather than Apollo, but that's a matter of personal opinion.
the original prompt used an Athena who hid her real gender, but I thought it sounded wrong for the myths since Hephestus "almost" raped her & he's as bad as Hera at holding grudges. Dionysus can't be arsed to be King of The Gods; too much responsibility.Huh, I would've expected either Athena or Dionysus rather than Apollo, but that's a matter of personal opinion.
