Oath Sign: Frozen Sun

Hmmm.

This may be the RP where I actually submit that "Joseph JoStalin" I keep threatening people with.

"Your next words are Nooo, please don't have my entire family shot!"

"Noooo, please don't have my entire....what!?"

Grounding Magic is what I'm worried about mainly.

While my knowledge is limited, but the Genoskwa could supposedly effortlessly ground Dresden's (who is to my understanding a rather skilled wizard) more powerful spells.

I'm not saying it needs to be removed entirely, but I'm not fully comfortable with allowing that level of anti-magic to be combined with what is already a fairly powerful fighter otherwise.

To be fair, once Dresden realized what Genoskwa was doing, he got around it fairly quickly by launching storms of icicles or cannonballs of conjured ice at him instead.

For example, looking at Silvan's character, grounding would handle Raw Mana Arts, but because her Fire Sorcery runs on a spark of real fire which she then feeds into large potent blasts, it can't defend against that.

I have never played Final Fantasy in my life.

That says nothing to me.

'-ra' spells are mid level. So, for example, a Black Flan has 2,301 HP. Edge could kill that with two Ninjutsu spells, while if someone were to use an '-aga' level spell, they could kill it with twice that amount of damage (4,600 damage). Oh, and there is a casting time involved, so he can't just pull them out with a snap of his fingers.

collective wanking up of Simo Hayha shoved into a Wraith
Is not a winning character idea as far as I'm concerned.

Alright fine, but you'll have to strip the earthbending instead.

Meh, alright, you're on the waitlist.

Fire magic in winter wonderland? Sure, as long as you're aware that the environment will work against you. Though the ability to generate heat could be invaluable.

Secondly, don't expect her prescience to function to it's fullest extent here.
As I would expect, and I'm perfectly fine with it.

*Shrugs* I have no issue with this.

God and the Snake - Mohammed Avdol
I have found that the best way to deal with the Finnish Outback... is to burn it.

Character: Mohammed Avdol
Appearance:

Universe of Origin: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Abilities:
  • Storehouse of Anciient Knowledge: Avdol makes his living as a fortune teller, primarily using the tarot to divine the future. This proximity to the supernatural, and his own Stand, have lead to him encountering and learning much of the prenatural world's facets and features. He's also deeply familiar with many of the east's cultural events, styles, and norms.
  • World Traveling Desert Walker: Avdol has traveled much of the world, as well as his native Egypt, quite extensively. Though the snow is something relatively unfamiliar to him, he's more then capable of surviving at temperature extremes even without his Stand.
  • Curse of a Kind Heart: More of a character trait then an ability, Avdol is a kind person despite sometimes putting on a surly act. When he sees someone in distress, it's his natural instinct to save them, even at the expense of his own life.
  • Superhuman Physique: As a Stand User, Avdol's body is tougher then most humans, and heals quicker as well. After being shot in the head and stabbed in the back, he was able to recover in a matter of weeks will being none the worse for wear. He also shares his Stands reaction time, as his and its consciousnesses are inseparably intertwined.
  • Magician's Red: A phantom tied Avdol's spirit called a Stand, Magician's Red is a large humanoid phoenix that can create and control vast amounts of flame that can burn hot enough to melt steel with difficult. Magician's Red is quick enough to dodge bullets and capable of moving as far as twenty meters from his body, while also being more durable then the average human. At the same time, it's invisible and unharmable to any insufficiently mystic force.. However, any damage down to Magician's Red is reflected back on to Avdol himself.
  • Crossfire Hurricane: Through the use of Magician's Red, Avdol can create large ankhs from pure fire, which he can disassemble and control independently of each other each other. These ankhs, however, cannot exceed the range of Avdol's Stand.
  • Red Bind: Avdol can create binds of fire to trap his enemies.
  • Heat Radar: Avdol can create a compass composed of fire that points towards the nearest mass of body heat.

SI: No

The Stand randomly designates someone as her 'Senpai' without Ayano's knowledge should they fall under these conditions. 1) Be a male, 2) Be older than her (Ayano has recently turned eighteen), 3) Be a human, and 4) Must be kind to her once.

Tone down the heat to "melt steel, with some effort" .

When you say Magician Red can dodge bullets and Avdol shares his reactions, does that mean he can dodge bullets as well or is it a case of reaction time against movement speed?

Does "unharmable to any insufficiently mystic force" mean it just flies through it or do they just bounce off?

Tech is hard mode eh? Let's see what we can do. :V
Nah, hard mode is "blind and crippled, in the middle of a snow storm when it's below -30 degrees Celsius outside."

Tech is just a-dip-below-average mode.

Sorry about this, after seeing GatS' sheet I forgot to include a blurb about Stand being invisible to the mundane. Can I still edit that in?

Okay dokey.

Reaction time against movement speed, yes.

It's kind of hard: Stands can selectively phase through physical matter like walls and bodies while also interacting with the world, like reaching through someone's muscles to grab their organs. The interpretation I'm most predisposed go is the idea that when Stands are acting immaterial, things just sort of phase through them, but when they're acting in a physical manner the parts doing so can be damaged with difficulty.

So if someone used overwhelming but purely mundane force, say, throwing a giant rock at you, you couldn't just go "Magician Red flexes his mighty pecs and the rock bounces away"?

Because that's what I was thinking of.

Hmmm, isn't that the thing that screws up "new" stuff, leaves old or ancient things alone? Might not have been a problem depending on interpretations of "A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away..." :V

It's actually more along the lines of complexity of the tech, with 'new' and 'old' just being the scale of how that usually functions. If a really simple thing has been recently invented, hexing won't work on it. But if you brought out a hideously complex computer that happened to be made a while ago, its going to break.

Star Wars tech would totally get smacked by it.
