Oath Sign: Frozen Sun

Let's see if I've got this straight. Chiss are blue skinned, have glowing red eyes, and apart from not really getting fat are perfectly baseline with your average human.

Question is what does she get pasted for first: Being a demon, being a xeno, or being an attractive young woman who might be a potential rival?

Just say you also kill things for the Emperor, you'll be fine.

The way I'm handling the language barrier is that every PC shares a language, so Riverspeak, Low Gothic, Common, Basic and so on are the same as English.

However, unless you can convince me that your character would know how to speak a fairly obscure language with a comparatively small speakerbase, or has some sort of translator ability, none of you know finnish.

Now, spirits can make themselves understood across language barriers and you'd have to go out of your way to find a finn who doesn't speak at least kinda-sorta-passable english, but it still presents certain challenges in-game.

Idle thought; how many of you would have the ability to differentiate between an animal and a spirit that looks like an animal?

Hmmm. Nothing out of order, you're on the waitlist.

Exalted, interesting.

All-Encompassing Earth Sense won't work through particularly thick banks of snow, but otherwise I see nothing unacceptable, you're on the waitlist.

Nah, it's fine.

I'd like a bit more of a detailed description of the Tears before accepting her.

Keeping in mind I have never played Bioshock.

Once again I'd like to know a bit more about the general power of those attacks.

Hmmm.

Would she know finnish, the most arcane and incomprehensible of languages? :V
They're based off stats I haven't added quite yet. I just need to know a good powerlevel to balance around.

Does any fairly obscure language with a comparatively small speaker base count, or does it have to be specifically finnish?

Because there's a point in Skin Game where Grey starts conversing with someone in a language the protagonist doesn't recognize at all.

...Ah, whatever, I'll just pick up Finnish using Identity Assimilation. It'll be somewhat inconvenient to have to copy a native to speak with them, but it's not impossible.

Wooo! English/Japanese speaker for this one~ (probably not worth to try and squeeze extra languages—that'd be something for if Worst were still connected to the Network)

Then you can look around the sheets that I have accepted, and work it out from there.

specifically finnish?
Yes.

Does this include Japanese? Because, if not, Kirie is going to have a bad time...
It does.

Theare are holes in time and space that let people look in to other dimensions, or show things that technically don't exist like a rifle on a mantle that was never there.
*sigh*

Fine, you're on the list.

ziizo - Houndoom
This idea was born of seeing the pokedex entry for Houndoom and thinking "Either Houndoom is supposed to be the edgelord of pokemons, or the person that wrote it's pokemon entry was a chuunibyou"

Character: Houndoom
Appearance:

Universe of Origin: Pokemon
Abilities:
  • Early Bird: Houndoom can wake up easily from sleep.
  • Unnerve: Houndoom presence scares his enemies preventing they from eating food mid-battle.
  • Dark Type: Houndoom is immune to psychic abilities even those that would benefit him.
  • Poisonus Fire: the fire of Houndoom is caused by a special kind of chemical in his interior, it makes burns caused by it to constantly hurt until healed.
  • Fire Control: Houndoom can create fire (Inferno, Ember, Fire Fang, Flamethrower) or smoke (Smog).
  • Great Strength: As a Pokemon Houndoom has great resilience.
SI: No. But is an OC Houndoom that suffers of chuunibyou syndrome.

@Blackout

What should I expect from the Nevernever/'Spirit world' in this game? Since Grey's ability to move in and out of the Nevernever may actually be useful in this environment, what should I expect?

Depends on if "spirit" means "undead" or not. If it does, then Boolevard could probably tell by the way that they aren't flipping out around him. If it doesn't, then he's got nothing beyond trying to sell them something.

Well, for one you shouldn't expect the spirit world to be the same as the one he's used to, so I wouldn't count on being able to get too much utility out of it.

Entering it would be a sort of risk/reward situation, considerably more dangerous than sticking to the material realm but might help you figure out what's going on.

Could you describe "great resilience" in a bit more detail?

Also, before I forget, the deadline for submitting sheets will be Saturday, 08:00 GMT, after which I will select the PC roster and begin composing the IC.

If you believe you need more time than that, ask me for it, but I'd really like to get the ball rolling by the end of the weekend.

Entering the Nevernever is rarely a pure utility situation, so that's not unusual. Might be able to use it to GTFO in certain situations if attacked by another PC, but that's about it.

Figured as much.

...Going in probably would make shrinking down very difficult (would have to compress, not store), but adding on mass would presumably be much easier.

SplicedHunter - Ajay Ghale

Character:
Ajay Ghale.
Appearance:
Universe of Origin: Far Cry 4
Abilities:
Is reasonably skilled with guns and a bow and arrow.

Knows how to successfully skin animals.

Can make drugs of varying affects.

Skilled mountain climber.

Items: A kukri, a lighter, and several hypodermic needles.
SI: No.
And I'm reapplying as someone significantly more mundane in terms of ability.

Idle thought; how many of you would have the ability to differentiate between an animal and a spirit that looks like an animal?
Being a Cathak and also not an Immaculate, Kaya's experience with spirits is... Limited. She'd recognize Jurgen as a Blood Ape, but unless it was really obvious she'd likely consider any spirit she met to be a normal animal.

Even minor supernatural abilities or quirks would be largely ignored, given Exalted's typical wildlife. At best she might think them a familiar or godblooded, maybe Wyld mutants.
