So, at least two of those pics are ripped. Any idea where your second and third quoted pics are from?
Either way it's still pretty bad; I'm no legal expert but I believe that the companies who own the liscense to those pieces of artwork could sue or issue a cease and desist order.

And it doesn't look good on the Devs either, even if they weren't directly responsible for it, as the ones in charge they should have been responsible and made sure that no copyrights were infringed.

Soo... you're saying you could get the release date extended, by pointing out legal problems with the art?
[why is there no malicious grin smiley either]
The second is a wallpaper from the browser strategy game Imperia Online. The third is a screen-capture from the movie Outlander. (Thank you, Google Reverse Image Search!)
How'd you find them the first time?

So, finally cracked open my PDF. Mostly I'm hunting down those awful art pieces, but in flicking through it this caught my eye

"While we encourage you to let your character concept define the ratings of their Attributes and Abilities, rather than the other way around, it is totally valid to buy a trait all the way up to five at character creation if that's what makes sense for your character."

Given that the chargen minigame still exists, the only response which seems valid is bitter, bitter laughter.

Other people found the originals and posted them side-by-side with the obscenity, then I used GRIS to track down the originals. Except for the Medieval: Total War one, that one I found by searching for "medieval battle". Which, incidentally, also returned a suggestion for the Imperia Online one as "medieval battle aftermath". The Outlander one is the first hit for "barbarian charge" on a GIS for me, incidentally.

This is usually how you find stuff like this; you make a few searches for a phrase that describes the piece, and guess that the tracer/plagiarist was lazy enough to just pick one of the first things that cropped up for a GIS of a simple phrase, like "barbarian charge" or "medieval battlefield".

I'm not sure I understand what you're talking about. What an image of pigs with wings have to do with anything?

Well... Adorei is a thing.

An amusing thing in many ways, but I can't help thinking its Soulsteel Equivalent would be Saika.

So having gone through it on a quick skim:

* Aesthetically it's pleasing enough, and much easier to read than the leak for obvious reasons
* Holy crap the Lunar Cakes picture just looks even worse compared to the rest of the art, it's not just that it's bad, it's that it's not even in the same style
* They fixed the problem with her Redness on the throne by covering her up, but that said AAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSS is still a problem
* OH MY FUCKING GOD NO CHARM FLOW TREES KILL ME NOW
* Calling the 3e Char Sheet as useless as 2e's isn't quite fair, but it's no Anathema, I'll give you that much.

I'm praying someone writes a beginner's guide to exalted character creation and possibly the charms, like D&D gets with the char-op handbooks.

Just being quietly relieved that aside from one plagiarized piece and one poser piece, the book is way prettier than a bunch of other Exalted books.

Edit: Forgot to specify for Exalted. It is nice that the most fanservice-y pic is Volfer in undies

Hmm. Flametongue repeaters and discrete essence armor are out, and silken armor (artifact 4 light armor; doesn't count as armor) is in.

Not just undies. Undies with "The Scarlet Empress personally approves the contents of this container" written on them.

Dammit, beat me to it. :p

Won't have time to go through everything for, well, (100k charmset and gaming group that's entirely moved on to other systems during the wait) forever really probably, but has crafting gotten any major revisions since the leak?

I've spot-checked a few charms at random and they seem the same to what I remember, but I probably won't be able to go through in any detail until the weekend.

The evocation section was utterly eviscerated. Each artifact has vastly fewer evocations, to a maximum of five. Not even the notorious 20+ evocation Volcano Cutter was spared. They also got rid of the different circles of evocations, though they still have to edit the Craft charms to match. This reduces Wake the Sleeper from one of the best charms to rather pointless if you aren't a collector of artifacts. On the other hand, the Craft charms that add evocations suddenly look very good.

I have to wonder how much of this reduction in evocations was an issue of word count limitations and how much was based on the issues with the previous setup. I suppose we'll know for certain with Arms of the Chosen.
