please , this is not magecraft training , this is developing an affinity for magecraft ,and with everyone in the house knowing magecraft to some level we can trust them to stop the toddlers from doing anything harmfull , I believe the option wouldn't be there if it wasn't aplicable , but if you still don't want to see the diference at least choose diferent afinities since we may only get three of then
. Also, while it won't be much, Kuro and Miyu can start learning skills this year, though try to avoid anything that might get them hurt, please.

Good luck!

They explicitly can hurt themselves.
No complaints with this vote. I am really curious though as to why Waver got a Sealing Designation.

Have a Servant. They want the shiny

They explicitly can hurt themselves.
they explicitly could hurt themselves , I assumed he changed his mind , since Hayate sheet has afinities , and the toddllers options are called affinity now so I assumed it was a new mechanic , but even if that wasn't the case I doubt anyone would open their circuits at this point , so that would leave them reading books on the subject which wouldn't actualy be dangerous , or there is something I am forgetting ?

Magecraft involves studying how to distort your mind and body to do magic.

Teach a toddler how to do it but expect them not to try? Next year they should be mature enough to start, but for now just let the Ilya Magecraft focus distribute improvement gently.

fair enought , but could you at least choose diferent afinities ? Hayates sheet makes me think we will only get 3 of then and with this system I don't see the point of overspecialization

Sorry for barging in, but there's something I'd like to know, despite reading through the story posts.

The "big black sword" Shirou traced from a while back (until now) is one of the following?

1) Excalibur Morgan (from Saber Alter, but it's not big enough)
2) Herakles's Stone Axe (it's big sword, but it's not exactly black)
3) Blackened Arondight (from F/Z!Berserker, but it's also not big enough)
4) The Black Katana (from the last, last war's Assassin, but it's not big enough as well)
5) A non-Nasuverse sword?
Not exactly. It's the sword wielded by Demise, which is the also the true form of Ghirahim, Kiritsugu's Saber from the 4th war. Ghirahim only takes on that form when Demise wants to wield him in battle. They're both from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

Here's what they all look like:

Demise is an evil deity capable of creating sentient life (all the goblin-like races in the Zelda universe were created by him), he can create Reality Marble-like pocket dimensions effortlessly, and he's so powerful that it took a wish made on the complete Triforce to actually kill him, and even then he was still able to place a curse on Link and Zelda that those who share the blood of the goddess Hylia and the spirit of the hero will forever be followed by a reincarnation of his hatred.

Oh and the kaiju sized Beast that's appeared in the past two wars? That's the form Demise takes when he's still partially sealed away, is completely mindless, and is gradually regaining his power.

Hmm, second thoughts.

We got Hayate with maxed out physics
Teach Miyu Physics so they socialize?
That sounds fine. Canon Miyu is ridiculously good at all natural sciences, and we got her a head start on math last year. Not sure if she's old enough to really get much out of it though. More like getting Hayate to tutor Miyu in physics. At the very least, I can't see it hurting our old plan of having Miyu learn Midchildan magic.

on one hand is a good combo with your mid-style magic and I suport any action to not overspecialize with our afinities , which feels like a waste with the current system , on the other I am compeled to inform that it won't actualy work since Hayates isolated trait will stop an event from hapening

Well, an introduction would help anyway.

Well, Shirou's taking an action to overcome the Isolated trait, so they might head that way.

So Shirou is acting as a vigilante... using an evil sword?
I guess you shouldn't blame the tool instead of the user... except in this case, the sword itself has a mind of its own.

And what are the chances of Kiritsugu attracting one of the 108 Sekirei... especially that one who has an affinity for the scent of blood?

Shirou's chances are higher.

Harem protagonist.

Not that Kiritsugu's two waifus are much weaker

We should also definitely find a way to get rid of Demise before the next grail war. We DO NOT want an evil, high tier Divine Spirit waking up. Within the Legend of Zelda franchise, he's one of the two known beings in the second highest tier of godhood. The only higher ranked ones are the three Golden Goddesses, the creators of the Triforce.

Edit:
Shirou's chances are higher.

What about the chances of Hayate attracting some to try and replace the Wolkenritter?

Year 6: Another View
Year 6: Another View

Hachiro Wakahisa groaned as another pair of convicts were brought into the station. "Let me guess," he stated. "Tied up against a lamppost for trying to steal from a store."

The police officer lifting the two convicts nodded. "Yes sir," he replied. "They tried to steal from the Jewelry Store, and next thing they remember is waking up tied to the pole with some rope."

His partner nodded in response, to which Hachiro groaned. "Third time this month," he groaned out. "If this keeps up, we'll receive a budget cut next year."

"Chief, Uminari is safe," one of the officers stated. "Isn't that what matters?"

"In a way," Hachiro replied. "But if this vigilante keeps up with capturing criminals for us to pick up, we'll start receiving less funding for training and equipment, and we'll have less men on the force. And those that remain will be paid less for their job. If the vigilante ever disappears, or, worse yet, turns against the city, we'll be ill prepared for the conflicts that will occur."

The other officer sighed. "Well, come on, you two," he stated, tugging the two convicts with him. "We'll put you two in cells and ask of events later."

As the two officers and their captures moved out of the room, Chief Wakahisa turned around and headed back to his office. Sitting down, his head turned back towards the papers on his desk. As much as he wanted to be out in the city chasing down criminals, there were several factors that kept him working on the paperwork. The first factor which kept him indoors was that vigilante; because of them, fewer of Wakahisa's men were needed in the field, and that freed up manpower for indoor tasks.

The second factor was the fact that Hachiro was the head of the Uminari Police Department; if he kicked the bucket, then the organization of the Police would shake heavily as his replacement took control. In the timeframe of the sudden changeover, the organization would not be as prepared for any threats that might happen.

The third factor was paperwork. Someone had to do it, to make sure all the official papers were filed correctly, or they would lose all of their funding.

Slowly, Hachiro made his way down the list of expenditures that had been generated, making sure that everything lined up. With a grimace, he noticed that there were orders for three dozen firearms, but the final budget only accounted for two dozen. Checking a few other papers revealed that the Department had only received the two dozen guns, leaving the location of the last dozen a mystery.

Groaning, he lifted up a pen to make a few notes as the door to his office slammed open.

"Chief Wakahisa!" the man cried out, rushing into the office. Unlike the policemen that had come in earlier, the newcomer wore a suit and tie instead of the police uniform.

"Detective Tanaka," Hachiro replied in weary surprise. "Get a break in that drug trafficking ring?"

"No, Chief!" Tanaka replied. "I've got something big! And it's connected to the Emiyas!"

Hachiro sat upright. If what the Detective said was true, then this could be the break he, no, the department desperately needed.

The Emiya family had moved into Uminari over five years ago from parts near-unknown. The only clue was that they adopted Taiga Fujimura, the heiress to the Fujimura Yakuza. They had also adopted a boy, Shirou, that was a survivor of the Great Twin Fuyuki Fires, but he paled in comparison of importance to the Fujimura Yakuza heiress.

Despite his efforts, Hachiro had been unable to find a direct link between the family and the Fujimura Yakuza. Oh, he had discovered indirect links (purchasing second-hand clothes that had been smuggled to Japan to avoid paying import taxes through a vendor that had been supplied with the Yakuza, for example), but without a direct link that he could press, it would be pointless to try to prosecute them.

Even with the mysterious 'college fund' that the family could no way afford to give to Taiga for college, efforts to make a direct link had always failed.

"Well, then," Chief Wakahisa stated, folding his hands on his desk. "Inform me of what you have discovered."

"First, you know that Yagami child that Nakamura Nobuyuki is raising?" Detective Tanaka asked. "The one in a wheelchair?"

Hachiro frowned. "I don't," he admitted, "but do go on."

"Well, I got lucky in that the woman that appears to be Kiritsugu's mistress had a conversation with Nakamura in an allyway where I had staked a half-dozen bugs to try to catch a few drug addicts," the Detective explained. "From what was said, she was in negotiations to purchase the child from Nakamura."

The Chief felt his eyebrows rise. "Are you sure?" he asked. "There can be no mistakes with Nakamura Nobuyuki, Tanaka. The man is a personal friend of the mayor, much like his late wife was; moving against him without sufficient evidence will shut down my Department completely and get you fired from your Agency."

"I'm sure," Detective Tanaka stated, placing a video cassette on the table. "This is a copy of the relevant conversation, and I've sent additional copies to my bosses for safekeeping. The video quality could be better, but the sound is clear enough."

"I'll view it later," Hachiro replied, placing the tape on a pile of paper. "Anything of note about either of them?"

"From the way that the conversation went," Tanaka stated, "I believe that Nakamura does not care about Yagami. If the child died, he would not be impacted, and I don't think his biological children would care either. Yagami is an experiment conducted by Nobuyuki's late wife, one that he apparently intends to repeat by kidnapping a child orphan off the street in a few years."

Chief Wakahisa frowned. "Did he say what the experiment was?" the officer asked.

"Only that it had run its course, and that he'd be checking in to see the side effects later down the line," the Detective replied.

"We might be able to get Nakamura for this," Hachiro mused. "Though why would the Emiya family buy another child? Aren't they struggling to make ends meet with what they have?"

"I have a slight theory for that," Detective Tanaka replied. "I think they're trying to set up their son, Shirou, with her."

"The one person in the family that's old enough to be bad but is still a good egg," Chief Hachiro Wakahisa mused. "Assuming they take care of the girl, I'll let them get away with purchasing her. If we can get the boy onto the force in the future, he could be a good asset. Of course, that all depends on how deep the family is in trouble from everything else."

"I haven't gotten anything solid on the elder Emiya or the woman that is essentially his wife," the Detective admitted. "But by focusing the efforts of my coworkers on Hisau, we were able to uncover something big, starting with these."

With that, the man pulled out a bag and poured its papers onto the Chief's desk.

"Watch what you're doing!" the man barked, standing up in anger. "I had these papers organized, and you just added more to the pile!"

"Chief," Tanaka stated, "You should be focused on what kinds of papers these are."

Grumbling, Wakahisa sat down again and started examining the papers that were dumped onto his work, trying to get past the obvious that the papers were a mix of German and Japanese. After a few moments, his grumbling faded.

"These are… identification papers," he observed, lifting a pair of passports and comparing them to a couple of identification cards that were mixed in with the papers.

"No," Tanaka replied. "These are forgeries, every single one. Hisau's forgeries are near-perfect, but several others were not. We checked with the German Government, and there is no way that there are that many Germans moving to Japan, let alone here. Also, we checked with a couple people in Tokyo; there are definitely a few people that just suddenly appeared in their databases, but they have no idea just who has been added, or how many."

"The immigrants," Chief Wakahisa stated. "All the immigrants from elsewhere are getting identification papers to fit in."

Detective Tanaka nodded. "That's what we believe as well," he replied. "The Fujimura Yakuza helps with supplies and documentation, and they rake in some extra money. There is the unknown Te-Esu-Ah-Be, but I don't think they pose as much of a problem as the Yakuza."

Thinking for several moments, the man behind the desk nodded. "This will do, Tanaka," Hachiro stated. "I want you to get more information on Nakamura, enough to get an arrest. I'll get to work on getting a few warrants for Hisau and the Yakuza. As soon as we have enough, we'll start making arrests."

"Yes, Chief! Right away, Chief!"

The Detective hurried out of the room, and Hachiro leaned back in his chair. At last, they were going to finish off that Yakuza, and take down one of the Emiya family as well. Finally, beyond his expectations, the Nakamura head had the possibility of going down as well, which would likely cost the Mayor enough support to possibly get someone who actually supported the Police Department in office during the next election.

If all went well, it would save the Department, so that it could protect Uminari in turn.

It seems your luck has finally worn out; the Fujimura Yakuza got caught this year, and Maiya was dragged down with them. And it seems that the TSAB was caught as well.

This year is NOT going to end well.

Damn, sucks that Maiya's going to have to either go on the run or get arrested. Though it made me laugh that Hachiro wants Shirou on the police force later in life when he's actually the vigilante running around making the EPD look bad.

Wouldn't we just do some mindwipes when they come to arrest Maiya? It's not like a large number of people know about it already.

Also, at least being caught for forging identification documents isn't nearly as bad as other things we could get caught for. Our efforts to reform the yakuza to stop doing it's worst activities will probably also go over well.

[X] Maiya: Yakuza Reorganization
The uncovering a few years ago has gotten more attention on the Fujimura Yakuza than is beneficial. By creating false leads and moving some people around, the risk of detection will be drastically decreased.
(Cost: Personal Risk if Yakuza exposed again, poorer relations with neighbors) (Benefit: +1-2 Resources, Fujimura Yakuza discovery chance restored to normal)
Looks like not taking this to adopt Hayate bit us in the ass
