No. My plan involves cooperating with the mundane government, ending the secrecy of the Moonlit World, and coordinating the defense of Uminari against the assault by the Mage Association. If we pull that off, the heroic actions of ourselves and our allies, essential to the prevention of a major city getting wiped off the map, will likely result in Maiya receiving an official pardon (the emperor can still do that singlehandedly).

Opening up official diplomatic relations between Japan and TSAB would likely help her case a ton (especially if TSAB shares some of its glorious technology). After all, she was doing something philanthropic that was 100% impossible to do through legal means!
Right. Just tag me when you write it then.

I'm open to any suggestions in regards to how to improve this. This is very much a work in progress.

[x] Plan Crazy Enough to Work/Breaking the Masquerade

[x] Have a TSAB delegation meet with the local mundane authorities to completely end the secrecy of the Moonlit World.
-[x] Explain that the immigrants whom Maiya was making false documentation for were actually extraterrestrial refugees, and thus had no legal means of travel, but should be allowed into the country due to their status as refugees.
--[x] Use the technological advances that TSAB can offer to sweeten the deal.
-[x] Explain the existential threat posed to the city by the Mage Association's Enforcers and that we wish to help defend the city.
--[x] Use every trick you've ever learned to help the JSDF exploit the Enforcers' underestimation of the capabilities of mundane weaponry.
-[x] Based on the circumstances of Maiya's actions, negotiate such that she receive a pardon in exchange for our cooperation and a successful defense of the city.
-[x] Break the news about the existence of the supernatural to the mass media around the globe ASAP in order to force the Mage Association into a war on many fronts. International governments will not at all be pleased to learn of the existence of the Mage Association.
--[x] This will also ensure that even if the Enforcers succeed in wiping Uminari off the map, it will fail to preserve the secrecy of the Moonlit World.

[x] Call for aid from your allies, the enemies of your enemies, and opportunists.
-[x] Lindy Harlaown calls in as many TSAB forces as she can, especially in the form of ships, to defend the city.
--[x] She explains to her superiors that doing so will grant them the chance for far larger numbers of refugees to integrate into the planet's society with fewer changes to their lifestyles.
--[x] Call in the full force of the faction of refugees who have wanted to break the masquerade for a few years already.
-[x] Appeal to global magi of younger bloodlines who are dissatisfied with the elitism of the Mage Association.
--[x] Use the Midchildan magecraft system and TSAB society as proof that the common notions that older bloodlines are inherently more powerful and that magecraft becomes weaker as more people understand it are both false.
-[x] Inform Iskandar and Waver Velvet of this plan and offer them the chance to join forces.
--[x] We're both being targeted by the Mage Association, and its well known that those who share mutual enemies make good allies.
---[x] Point out that having Iskandar and his army heroically defend the city against impending doom while under a global spotlight would serve as an unparalleled starting point for any recruitment drives that would be necessary before attempting their dreams of conquest.

If possible, I'd like to ask one of our allied families that's fleeing the city to look after Miyu and Kuro until the current conflict is over (and in the event that we fail), but I'm not sure who we should ask. A warzone is no place for toddlers!

Also, for anyone voting to move to Mid-Childa, please keep in mind that Mid-Childa is currently in the process of being evacuated due to approaching apocalypse known as Type-Saturn!

@Kerfirou
I was actually in the middle of writing it out when you asked to be tagged. Didn't want to type this out on a phone.
@reborn214
Here's a more detailed version.

[x] Plan Crazy Enough to Work/Breaking the Masquerade

Oh yeah, nuclear option.
Not the first time we've suggested it. One of the ideas that was discussed for how to avoid sacrificing anyone to the Book of Darkness was making a contract with the World. The only reason we didn't go through with that was because we came up with the better idea of shooting Hayate with an Origin Bullet (which is only slightly less crazy).

Just a reminder that I'm open to suggestions in regards to ways to improve the plan.

In particular, until this mess is over, I'd like to have our toddlers, Miyu and Kuro, hang out with one of the families that's leaving, but I don't know who would be the best choice.

What should we do with Shirou? I have a feeling he might do something stupidly heroic.

For the toddlers, how about MBI? Manaka, as crazy as he might be, would probably help us in that at least for taking care of Shirou.

I know essentially nothing about that series, so I honestly can't say. Can I get a second opinion on this?

As for Shirou, defending the city like this should be enough to satisfy him.

Things have gone full clusterfuck:

[ ] Move: Stand and Fight

We actually DO have the capabilities to put up solid fight even against Enforcers. Especially with so many Mid-childan mages. Also Ilya is the Second Owner and FUCKED if we let the Clock Tower throw us off our territory.

Also, Enforcers don't stop just because you run away. They'd just hunt you down piecemeal. The only way to stop them is either to disappear off the map, or kill enough of them that they give up.

[ ] Priority: Harlaown Family
[ ] Priority: MBI

So my priorities are NOT to run. But to get the TSAB and the MBI ready to make a stand.
Running just means they cut people down one by one as they hound us from city to city. Kill the first dozen and we'd have the same kind of 'sealing designation' that Zeltretch has: Namely that they would seal us if they could, but they couldn't.

Oh wait, that's even better.

Any comments on my crazier, more in depth defense plan?

You know, the ironic thing is that the action Maiya was taking that got her caught was meant to help the Fujimura Yaks evade official attention.

When things are this bad, this becomes a good idea
