Fixed version by adding a war action for Irisviel. We originally picked 1 war action for Kiritsugu and Maiya, then none for Iri. Adding one for Iri should fix that.
Opps. Didn't realize that the vote for 2 Kiritsugu actions lost.

For the most part, I'm fine with that vote, but I'd much prefer that we do the catalyst research OOC and then swap the Catalyst Research war action to Community Connections.

The Community Connections war action will probably give us access to a TSAB spaceship to use as a base of operations and for Air Supremacy.

Something like this.
[] Catalyst Hunt
--[] some specific catalyst related to Taiyi Zhenren
[] Community Connections
--[] Ask Admiral Lindy to call in a TSAB warship to serve as air support and as a base of operations for the war.

Reborn's suggestion of Chiron also sounds quite promising, and is probably a lot easier to find a catalyst for.

But Chiron doesn't have a solution to Ilya and Shirou's problems.

And well, the catalyst, I'm not entirely sure of a real world known item that works(Taoist temples might work but they are catalysts for more or less the whole pantheon, and there's a cave that he had meditated in that may have a relic, but locating the cave without research would be a tossup) Very few Servants actually have a relic that's in a real known location, which is a bit of a problem.

If I could find the action to spare getting the TSAB to back us would be pretty handy though.

So I tried to do some research on him, but there's really almost no info about him whatsoever. If this happened when searching his name, it probably means that he'd suffer some debuffs from that whole thing about more famous = more powerful.

You might want to search the chinese words for it to get more, but yes, he's not as famed. But we're summoning for knowledge and skills rather than offensive ability.

We still need someone powerful enough to hold off all our enemies, especially if we're doing this without help from TSAB.

Another thing to keep in mind is that there's a chance that the research or catalyst search will fail, which is probably more likely to happen for someone like this.

Just to reduce how much random chance is involved, I'd rather go for a Servant with a bit less than the optimal skillset but a predetermined catalyst than one with the perfect skillset but a chance of failing to figure out a catalyst.

I'm finding myself liking King Solomon more and more as a choice. As a Servant, he'd probably have some ability or Noble Phantasm that's one step down from omniscience, which means he can probably help Illya, there's tons of different catalysts that could work for him, he's absurdly famous, and, if the canonical stat sheet for King David as Archer is anything to go by, he'd probably have some insanely OP Noble Phantasms.

Also, the fact that he gets called the "King of Magecraft" by Merlin in the Garden of Avalon LN and is said to represent the very end of the Age of Gods means that he's undoubtedly one of the most powerful human magi ever, even by the standards of the Caster class. We would need someone other than Kiritsugu or Maiya to be the Master though.

Solomon is pretty tempting, not going to lie.

Well, as far as catalyst for Solomon, we could try to find either his demon-controlling signet ring or a really old copy of one of the many religious texts said to have been written by him. We might even be able to get TSAB to help us search for the ring if we suggest that it might be useful against the Cross (Type-Saturn).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seal_of_Solomon

Considering that the Einzberns found fucking Avalon, that sounds theoretically possible to find.

If we fail to find it, we have a backup option, that's pretty much a free action, of using a collection of modern copies of the various religious texts said to have been written by Solomon as a catalyst (the collection, not the individual works).

Then, when performing the summoning, we could incorporate the hexagram design that was said to be engraved on the ring as part of the formalcraft circle. A modified, pentagram version of this design became very prominent in Renaissance era occultism.

Additionally, given how disastrous the previous war was, failing to prevent this war from getting out of hand could have catastrophic effects for the many Midchildan refugees who have moved to Earth. There are also even more malicious parties who seek the Grail's power, but it is unsafe for such power to be in human hands.

Everyone would back him up of course. Tell him our own motivations for joining the War, to summon a Caster with the skills to undo the damage that the Jewel Seed embedding had done to Shirou and Rin, as well as help with Ilya's...biological issues. Also this is a chance to learn from the legendary King of Magecraft. Also explain that as a scholar, Yuuno is the most likely to be able to have positive interactions with him.

I am kind of favoring Solomon over Taiyi right now to be honest. Also, I do not really want to burn an action looking up possible catalyst TSAB support is going to be vital.

Guys, I think we should reread the description of the option "Kiritsugu: The Living Sword's Last Gift". That lets us both scout out Fuyuki and gain IC knowledge of one of the few major threats that we've completely ignored, the Legend of Zelda equivalent of Satan.

Note: the name "Seal of Solomon" refers both to a magic ring and the emblem that was on that ring. Here, I'm talking about the ring.

As a scholar, Yuuno's probably the only one who can get along well with King Solomon the Wise.

As things stand, if I am understanding this correctly, the adults of the Emiya Family will be doing the following:

Kiritsugu Emiya:
(6) Catalyst Hunt
- (4) Taiyi Zhenren's Catalyst
(4) The Changed Uminari

Irisviel von Einzbern:
(6) Mangaka
(6) War Preperations
- (4) Catalyst Research
-- (4) Taiyi Zhenren
-- (4) Paracelsus
-- (4) King Solomon the Wise

Maiya Hisau:
(6) Illegal Immigrants
(2) The Ideal Master
- (2) Target Master: (Yuuno Scrya)

If I am wrong, please let me know. If you have any other votes, feel free to make them. I'll close the voting sometime tomorrow, if all goes well.

Why are you guys still wanting to spend an action on research when there's valid catalysts for Solomon already figured out?

This grail war is going to be a colossal clusterfuck, probably worse than the previous one, if we don't get IC warning about Demise ahead of time. Please reread the description of the following option:

[] Kiritsugu: The Living Sword's Last Gift
It has finally occurred to you that there is another legacy of the Fourth Grail War, a large black spike embedded in the ground in Fuyuki, marking the spot where a large beast fell that had appeared at the death of your Saber. Although the matter should be over with, there is something about it that unnerves you that might bear investigation…
(Benefit: Information, Scout Fuyuki for Grail War)

Locking Votes.

It seems people really want to cut down on upkeep more than get information about Fuyuki.
Yup, totally called that this is a terrible decision.

We are now going into a grail war full of crossovers and people who hate our guts without TSAB support and without knowing that the Legend of Zelda version of Satan is sleeping right in the middle of the place the war is about to occur.

This will not end well.

Also, the 5th war is where Shirou gets all of his NPs for UBW besides Avalon and possibly Excalibur. I'm not sure why we didn't want to scout to see what NPs we could lead Shirou into or even try and talk to Deadpool to see what we could glean from him.

Considering after this clusterfuck of 5th war with Gilgamesh and Iskander + Demise, we still have Tsukihime story line and Walpurgisnacht in the near future (as far as canon timelines go), I would like to get as many people powered up as possible.

Solomon would have been the ultimate powerup. That guy has canonically been acknowledged by fucking Merlin as the King of Magecraft and can summon demons and force them to obey his will. Nasuverse demons are walking reality marbles.

tldr, Solomon would come with an army of reality marbles!

Worst case scenario?

Thats all true, provided that was could control him, convince him to fight in the War for the Grail and/or help us purify or destroy it. And honestly we have a better chance of him hijacking the War itself because he's that good of a magus. We have goals we need to meet before we deal with the war and chances are summoning such a powerful mage will end poorly and result in a much worse war for everyone.

Worst case scenario?
Demise, a being who could fight a goddess to a draw and wasn't killed until Link used the complete Triforce to kill him, wakes up and then hijacks the grail. Angra Mainyu decides to go along with it.

Oh and Demise's last action before dieing was to create a curse that those who share the blood of the goddess Hylia (Zelda) and the spirit of the hero will forever be followed by a reincarnation of his hatred (every other Zelda villain).

I guess we might have to wing it a bit. Also, what are the chances of Solomon doing something not so good?

Not very likely. He was a good king, not an asshole.
Actually, the issue was that he WAS quite the asshole by modern standards, which is why control might be an issue. He's Lawful Good, but his legend itself put him in the leagues of Gilgamesh when it comes to pride and self gratification.

Optimistically, he'd be something closer to Iskander(though note that Iskander with someone other than Waver could have been a disaster), but having a literal divine mandate that says "I'm right, and I'm the boss of everything" makes control chancy.
It seems people really want to cut down on upkeep more than get information about Fuyuki.
Well...we're getting Caster mainly to fix Ilya, so mission objectives other than that is flexible.
