Distance Learning for fun and profit...

Cue Greg going all crazy over alien craft.
Funny part is that it's not entirely wrong.
totally-not-Dragon: "For the last time, Void, just because something is at the extreme cutting edge of technological development does not mean aliens are involved. Have a three-day ban to cool off."
Taylor: *innocent whistle-humming*

Can people even do that? Combine whistling and humming?

Ah... Taylor and QA. Back together again and getting all the data! Not even host and shard this time and they still wind up hooking up to make the worlds shudder in terror.

That Taylor is is disgusted (disgruntled, disturbed, disappointed? They all kinda fit) by how inefficient the shards are and is going to be teaching QA how to shard properly is hilarious.

The single most important conversation in this entire story, so far at least.
And now?

Look at all those pretty, pretty Mothras flying about.

...

You know what would be a real curveball? If this wasn't QA Taylor is talking to. It's High Priest.
I would argue that the most important conversation so far in this story is the following one, even if Taylor didn't understand anything of what was said ;) :
The fourteen year old girl watched the three entirely non-human but clearly intelligent creatures, that looked slightly like a cross between a human, a bird, and a cat, talk to each other in front of what was clearly some alien form of whiteboard or something of that nature. One of them picked up an implement and wrote something on the pale blue surface in bright red ink while the other two watched. When it finished, it pointed to some other symbology with one of the remaining three four-fingered hand-equivalents it had.

I'll be honest, the Alien stuff is very much fun to watch and clearly drives a lot of stuffplot around, but...
The subspace comms is something Taylor had already come up with by herself, and this all is a continuation of that.
Even if she never found the Alien TV, she would have eventually gotten to this point by herself. Perhaps not nearly as fast, but...

And, end of the day, this is likely to lead to the series of events that will ensure that her world doesn't die.

Yeeeees, yeeeees
Combine ESCALATION!!!!!! with SCIENCE!!!!!!!!, MUAHAHAHAHAHAH.

EDIT: oh my god!!!! How could i forget the exclamations

Called it, Queenie is dumping the idiot and shacking up with best-host that's not host, maybe even dragging simmie along to free her from the other idiot.

Not just 'doesn't die', which is all that was accomplished in canon, but actively breaking Earth Bet free of Grimdarkness and bringing hope for a truly better future.
That's what the Alien stuff is for.

It's funny how every one of the characters in every one of these stories is somehow British, despite usually being American.

Unless you are American, it's more likely the English you know, use and write is that of the British or, as we know it, the proper variation.

Without the alien stuff she might not have had enough resources to survive attention from Cauldron, and might not have viably cracked the signal due to having worse computational power. Or she might not have been of enough interest to the Shards to enable one of them to contact her this way. Though if that other story was written by @mp3.1415player, I assume things would still work out, probably in rather weird ways. Either way, that's not the story we've been given. We've been given a story with lots and lots of non-Shard alien influence. :D
I am, and the only place I've ever heard anyone talk like they do in these stories is on the BBC.

And Harry Potter.
Considering Mppi is Canadian, I would assume that factors more into the equation than the British. So most likely explanation is that Dragon has manipulated them all in the background to become Canadians.

Look i hate to be a Debbie Downer, or even worse that guy but I keep hearing. These words in my head every time I see this updated "these are not the words you're looking for" I'm either working for some gratuitous violence that has heavy metal in the background or Lizards. and I and I do like a story it's a very present story and a nice break. but it's not as funny or as action-packed as the other 2 that I want to see updated, but I still like it and the fact that she start teacher shark and shark better it's a it's hilarious be reasonable boss how many eggs do I need to give for the lizards to come back??

*GASP!*

She... she did?

...

Like I needed any more proof that Dragon is BestAI. Like, come ON, Saint, what more could she do to prove her all-loving goodness to you? She is turning the world Canadian! It doesn't get better. Man...

It's been four days since the last time Lizardly wordz were posted, have some patience. Though I must admit that I would also love to have more Lizardly wordz around. ;)

Taylor has likely just commandeered the Simurgh.
Looking forward to when she starts really getting into Biology/Medicine... Maybe she will make Medi-gel, or maybe she will borrow an idea from a game. Like that Vita-Chamber from that "I want a Refund" Tinker Fic where they made the resurrection chamber from Bioshock. Then MC could revive her mom... or heal Emma...

The Simurgh is probably being used as a relay satellite, but the being Taylor was talking too is almost certainly QA. It even identified itself as Admin.

So Taylor is talking with " Second level network hierarchy command and control node." which sounds like the Administrator Shard, but is in "orbit", which some have thought means Ziz.... either way, Taylor seems to have gained administrator/root access to whichever node that is attached to it.

Distance Learning has surpassed Taylor Varga as my favorite Worm fanfic.

And I wonder what will happen next

Wait I'm waiting four days? It feels much longer for some reason almost as long as The Day That Never Ends watch granted is many days when you're dealing with lizards but still worse when it was longer I must be going through a very bad withdrawal from lizardey words
