The only possible epic is the lantern festival (unless he meant greater or equal) with it's 91.
Not counting omakes.

I nominate @Zedalb as Pope as well as @FatedBread, @Aeternus and myself as Archbishops. There must be order to our Riot.
Im game

@Zedalb you seem to be organizing. Where are we lacking skills and tags?
Teaching bonus or preaching. Ill make a list.

We are deciding that she is a god of fire, and we need a warrior branch, so in line with that, fire bending really makes sense, and someone else said martial arts rather than a weapon, since we are a less, "Killy" god of death.

All in all we are seriously considering fire benders as our holy warrior order, so having someone with that skill tag would be immensely useful.

They could lead and teach NPCs our holy fire bending ways.

Skill tags by type
Some tags are repeated because they may apply to multiple areas directly. This doesn't count for indirect methods (Using mysticism to make potions to sell for funds, to by pass rolling admin)

Surprisingly we, have no one great at subversion with a subversion tag, which may be exactly what we need, someone to infiltrate the other cult and report back to us, with a skill tag and a 5, they would have a 40 (5+25+10) We would be willing to make them a magic item to help (how fitting for us to make a mask) because damn is that job important.

We also lack very generalist faith tags, with 2 of them being fairly specific in use.
we only have two admin, but they are very good and it would be useful if we could teach them to each other.

But don't worry we have 7-ish magic ones, which was my prior gripe.

So if your looking for most useful, what comes to mind is "Fire bender" or "infiltrator" or something like "Crowd Inspiring"

Magic
[I_AM_MY_CASTING_FOCUS] - There are many ways of casting magic but the stronger the spell the more a casting focus is needed. Anything can be used as a focus but the best ones are crystals of personal significance with runes carved into them. Of course this means that being disarmed is a threat when casting powerful spells. But Thaumus doesn't need to worry about either of these problems, after all can you get an any more powerful and hard to disarm focus than your very own rune carved crystal skin.

[VOODOO_DOCTOR] Khaliss is adept at finding and producing various substances from unlikely ingredients, ranging from healing salves to deadly poisons. +10 to the research/creation of potions.

[CONTRACT_MAGIC] Harry's university studies and following career in the civil service directed him down a very specific path of magical study. Harry Woltan is adept at forging magical contracts; hanging clauses and effects that depend on the consent of multiple parties. While the most obvious and least ethical use is the collection of souls for services rendered, magical contracts have many more benign uses in practice, from transferring vitality or illness from one party to another, to magically binding them to a course of action under pain of magically enforced penalty. Contract magic is a fairly powerful school, hindered by its insistence on balance, and that everyone effected by a spell consent to being effected.

[AESTHETICSMANCY]: Paraphernalia matters. This is a magic of 'talk the talk, walk the walk', in that the aesthetic, mindset, and/or equipment of some activity/job can be used to gain a temporary passable mastery of the skill while so disguised. Dress like an artist and you can paint, dress like a priest and you can preach, dress like a doctor-mage and you can cure wounds. Essentially, a +10 to 'use tool/magic item' or 'pretend to be a profession and get away with it' as contextually appropriate, provided you can look the part.

[MAD_ALCHEMIST] Hermes has a knack for mystically combining the traits of things, whether it be herbs and animal bits into potions, creating mystical materials or even, theoretically, making a new Chemina.

[METHODICAL_ENCHANTER] He makes sure to cross every t and dot every i when enchanting. He may work slower than some, but he rarely makes a mistake in creation

[EAGER_RESEARCHER],Palstat loves learning new things, and this translates into a bonus for learning and discovering New Things

Faith
[STORY_TELLER] Whether committed to paper or spoken aloud, Danaal is a master of crafting narratives.
[SHOULDER_PRIESTESS], as a priestess to a dead god of retribution she has skill in encouraging people to seek retribution for wrongs.

Admin
[PAPERWORK_EXPERIENCE], applies to repetitive tasks involving paperwork, such as updating records and duplicating the text of documents.

[Village_Scribe]: Sarah's family always worked as aides to the mayor and such a job has taught her how to prepare events and festivals for the community well.

Sneaky
(None of our skill tags explicitly help subversion)

Murder
[PLAGUE_MONK] - Works like COMBAT_TRAINED for all intents and purposes, the difference is in the fluff. Rather than a combat bonus due to skill and experience, the bonus comes from being a crazy, constantly in pain plague victim fanatic inured to pain.

[HEAL_KILL_BURY] to know how to repair a body, is to know how to destroy, is to know how to take care of a lifeless body.

MISC:
[PHOENIX_ASHES] - It is easy to give up when all seems lost, when the anchor of your life disappears in front of you. Happenings like that often bring people to the brink of despair, yet you continued to rise above your challenges. One day, you might not be able to win against the odds, but until then, you will rise and rise again until you burn out like your sister.

[DEATH'S_ JESTER] Seemingly nonsensical actions are the norm for her... yet they are pulled off surprisingly well, is it mere luck or something more? Bonus to things that leave people dumbfounded, be it researching magic with 0 mysticism or assassinating someone with an (unlit) candle.

Don't mind taking up that job, after the tag training and item is made. Ideally I'd train up mysticism as well since it should help against wards and for scrying / disguise magics.

Quite sure I could get my 'trolling' tag to activate as well.

The crafters could start work on a mask maybe. I know at least one of us has an enchanting Tag that would probably apply.
Other possible projects:
Refining/Researching more rituals with the plan to improve divination/scrying.
The creation of alchemical/magical gear for the purpose of attack/defense/misc bonuses.
Improved healing/cure related items, such as the candles.

You certainly don't need to train up Mysticism. As currently uncontested Archbishop of Magic, I could commission you any magic gear you need.

Plus, [MAD_ALCHEMIST] and [I_AM_MY_CASTING_FOCUS] both apply to basically all magic if you flavor it right.

The more I consider it, the more I'm willing to spend the next round assisting with the creation of a mask devoted to Subversion. I sorta want to see if we can get an epic success and our first 'named' item.

Ehh you should ask the GM about rewording your skill tag if thats what you want to do.

Because you may have meant it as trolling people, "I gain pleasure from little cruelties that make others rage"
But it comes off more as a penalty reduction, even your example is getting +10 to something you have 0 in.

It seems at the moment, that it doesn't work well to make you better at something you should be very good at, and reasonably capable of doing.

It would be a great job for you as our only 5 in the sneaky arts.

But as others said, you don't need mysticisim, though 1 point would only take one action, and we need a turn to make the item, so maybe you could participate in the crafting (having it hand made and customized for you) thus earning 2 exp, and 1 in mysticism and possibly boosting the mask.

Then you can try to infiltrate the cult, and feed back information so that we can strike them down.

Yes that is what I was saying a mask of subversion would be a great item, something to deceive scrying spells and information gathering spells and the like, and looks like your face when you put it on, so it disguises you and makes you appear to be who you say you are to other magic.

Its still ultimately a secondary and lesser role to the priests and magicians. Which, I guess it is what it is.

You are the second highest skilled priest as well. I disagree that it is secondary though. Conversion only matters if we can protect our converts, if we all die, we lose anyway.

Plus, you guys are probably gonna be first in line for Divine Gifts once Morth grows up big and strong.

This may cause complications with the ruling parties, be they monarchies or whatever else, but I want the Death God's Armed Forces - however big or small - to be beholden only to Morth's priesthood (and chosen commanders) and Morth herself.

So basically if the King of so-so land calls for a muster of all their forces to invade/defend the land, we don't answer the call. In theory, it exists to protect the community of Morth worshipers.

This is likely to cause complications and may be a diplomatic hang up with the authorities, but I honestly don't care about that. I'm supporting this solely from a lore and fluff perspective.

I can see that, sort of like the Teutonic/Livonian Orders. We just gotta make sure our Preachers/Administrators/Diplomancers keep us on relatively good terms, or at least generally neutral-but-not-worth-fighting

I'm pretty sure everyone here is inner sanctum by default, as its founding members.
We can worry more about positions when we have a sizeable order & a fully operational goddess behind it :V

True enough.
@I just write could I clarify and reword my tag to this:
[DEATH'S_ JESTER] Expert skill melded with a playful mindset and an undertone of sadism, Soppo has a particular talent for 'trolling'.
E.g. Acts of mischief & subterfuge. Actions that could get a rise out of people (her allies included) or cause people distress.

It doesn't affect the past turns and with the added clarity, it'd save everyone some head-scratching & trouble on deciding when it should be applied. Thank you :D

Funnily enough, I already have 1 in mysticism from turn 1, since partial success and mentoring gave 4XP. Leaving me at 2/4 to mysticism 2. Taking part in the crafting would boost it to 2 nicely.

If we do go about making a subterfuge mask, every little bit helps. And since you be our main Person of Sneakiness it would make sense for you to be involved and give feedback on what would be useful in a magical stealth mask.

Zeds current plans.

[Infiltrate the death cult]
-Create a magical mask for our chosen spy {Fated bread}
-Create some type of network they can safely report to, that can carry messages to us (We have 5 people with subversion 2, a group effort could be pretty strong)

[Teach My skill]
-Next turn get everyone with a decent Preaching score to study under me, and anyone who wants the skill for later.
-In the future get people on some type of rotating schedule for teaching tags (So someone would be every 5 turns starting at 1, someone else starts at 2, someone else at 3, so new players can just spend a few turns getting buffed)

[Start an armed forces group]
-We may have a fire-bender next turn and general consensus seems to be yes for that being our military arm.
-Have all 2 of our people with some combat skill help teach them/spar with them
-Have our mages create some magical process to buff them? (Tattoos to make them better? Contract to take strength from other? A potion?)
-Maybe hire an NPC to teach them too?

[Protect the town]
-Ritual improvement/creation for information gathering on the death gods cult.
-Gather more funds so we can get a wall for the town and hopefully some towers.
-Possibly just buy better equipment for the town guard/militata/ whatever
-Maybe hire some skilled NPC to teach them?

[Continue to spread the faith]
-At some point in the next few turns we are going to either send out missionaries to other towns, or try to help this town grow.

I think they might have a town watch, so that is not necessary.
Something to fight the dark forces of necromancy though...
We would have to pitch it right. Dont want the crown or other religions to use it as a pretext for problems. We build up and the crown might have to react and other religions would have to copy us. Besides "nice death god" does not make me think "military build up" and doing so undermines the first.
