No, I think it would be more like two games fused into one- You've got 'Space' mode, which is pretty much classic EVE, and then 'Planetary' mode which is like Borderlands, but with completely unique characters and nobody knows what the over-arching plot is but fuck plot this is my rock AND I HAVE THE BIGGEST FUCKING GUN HERE-

... er, I mean, I can see how it could have it's appeal.

Especially if you throw in some minecraft-esque crafting elements and let people build mines and fortresses and guns and- shit. A Borderlands where you can build your own gun to your own specs?

This is madness, man.

Submarine Titans and Mass Effect (the first one). Well, bare minimum there'd be new alien race in game. And teleportation. And plasma and laser weapons. Gaa! This is just fodder for another "The Citadel races suckz!" stomp fic!

That would basically be the Bad End of Crysis 3, with the alpha ceph taking over Earth. All that would remain, could remain, is a handful of post-human warriors fighting an impossible battle against the literally endless hordes. Beyond death, seeking vengeance for a dead race.

... This would be epic. seriously it would be the ultimate strategy fps ever.

basically 2 teams are converging on an objective, now gunplay is normal to CS, but add the Super Hot mechanics of time slowing down when you're not moving would introduce way more strategy into any games.

The US military and Chinese PLA call a cease-fire in order to disperse humanitarian aid to the various post-apocalyptic colonies. When their humanitarian efforts are shot down (quite literally seeing as how the Fireflies and Hunters are each full of colossal dickbags), the two superpowers unite in shitting all over both factions.

Oh, and Marlene gets run over by an Abrams.
 
So I noticed almost all of us are mixing XCOM with something. Is there something going on here? Do we all seriously play that much XCOM?

Well, a sci-fi TBS with a absurdly high level cap seems kinda cool. Especially if it keeps the branching dialogue ME is known for.
