I suppose it would trigger a moment of WTF. I mean, the ban on super advanced AI is probably determined by a combination of an upper limit on how much processing power is an AI, or an AI cluster, is allowed to have, combined with somekind of future Turing Test? It's hard to find a way to quantify intelligent.

If you somehow elevate a normal AI to the point of being a ASI, then you should worry less about legality and more about people trying to find a way to get you to work for them.
ok good, thanks for that because I may be looking into something like that pretty soon.

I kinda feel like a broken record yammering about people hearing voices. Just assume that happened to you guys a couple weeks back before your opening posts.

Yeah, I don't want to drop you guys into the deep end. I'd rather take this slow so you can get your bearing...
Well, except for Janus, he's investigating the magical signature, and Dovahsith, causes Parker Luck

I'm going to ask, does splurging multiple actions on attuning myself with my past soul actually have a noticeable impact?

Like, compared to just one action. I assumed it did which is why I'm doing it but like, I want to make sure because there're actually a lot of other thinfs I could be doing.

Yes, basically, each action get 3d6 to them. If you get more than 9, you pass the check and make some progress. If you get more than 16, you get a crit and make even more progress.

By dedicating 3 actions, you get 3 shots, each have its own chance to crit, instead of one.

I'm not going to pretend I actuall have an idea of how attunment work, but you're probably going to get an upgrade.

Kewl.

@munchkinomatic wondering something, the voices of the souls, are they actually voices of them with thought and all or are they something more like an eco of their once selves?

I suppose echoes are the more correct way to look at them. You are them, after all. This is merely how they expressed themselves before higher level attunement is achieving.

With that said, knock yourself out. Do whatever you want.

cool, because I was thinking of having mine be one with thought, acting as something like a mentor and partner to my character.

Odds of getting > 9 on a 3d6: ~62.5%
Odds of getting >16 on a 3d6: ~17.5%

Odds of getting >9 on 4d6: ~90%
Odds of getting >16 on 4d6: ~24%

Odds of getting >9 on 5d6:~98%
Odds of getting >16 on 5d6:~60%

Note that this is seperated into sets of 3d6. So it doesn't carry over. I'll include an example below.

As you can see, 2 success and 1 failure
munchkinomatic threw 3 6-faced dice. Reason: Action 1 Total: 9
4 4 1 1 4 4
munchkinomatic threw 3 6-faced dice. Reason: Action 2 Total: 15
4 4 6 6 5 5
munchkinomatic threw 3 6-faced dice. Reason: Action 2 Total: 5
1 1 2 2 2 2

Right. Time for a sleuthing.
Action 1 = 11
Action 2 = 11
Action 3 = 13
Action 4 = 13
Dovahsith threw 3 6-faced dice. Reason: Action 1 Total: 11
4 4 4 4 3 3
Dovahsith threw 3 6-faced dice. Reason: Action 2 Total: 11
3 3 2 2 6 6
Dovahsith threw 3 6-faced dice. Reason: Action 3 Total: 13
5 5 5 5 3 3
Dovahsith threw 3 6-faced dice. Reason: Action 4 Total: 8
3 3 3 3 2 2
Dovahsith threw 3 6-faced dice. Reason: Action 4 Redo Total: 13
4 4 6 6 3 3

Like, if I'm doing an intelligence action, I get 5d6.

Also, do my new traits add nothing? I thought old money might add something to interactions with the higher echelons of society. Or just, money, or something
[It's actually a flat bonus, not extra dice bonus. And I did up it to +3. I don't think anyone here have extra dices

. I suppose Zookeepers tend to do sick things for their own amusement.
This made me laugh too hard for some reason.

Anyway, all of you can start rolling for your action except for Sailor, his actions are a little sequential, so I imagine he may want to change some of them depends on the result of his previous action

Guys. has everyone gotten a response yet, or am I impatient? Also, I have no bonuses for my background.

Nah, I'm trying to do this in cycle, so twelve at a time. Also, most background bonus are equipments, and the people who got them are going to need them really soon.

@Estro Anyway, yes, Old Blood does cover that. Since it's already in your sheet, I didn't feel the need to mention it.

If someone doesn't respond for a while, will you break the cycle?

1v1 Rule
Eyup. All successes. Now, this isn't related to your situation at all, I swear. This is the PVP rule, which I am also going to adapt it to PvE

Okay PvP rules are as follows

You can take 5 actions per turn in a PvP scenario, for each action roll a 9 sided dice to determine how well it goes. For the sake of argument dodging is considered part of the roll so if a enemy rolls a 9 you didn't dodge in time if they rolled a 1 you escape unscathed etc.

You can take actions like get distance, attack your opponent verbally etc.

A roll of 9 is the highest success and 1 is a complete fail. 4 is the tipping point. 4 and numbers below it carry degrees of failure 5 and numbers above it contain degree's of success.

Please be honest with your roll's.

If your character loses a PvP scenario then yes they can die. If the other party is willingly to go that far.

In the current situation between @UbeOne and @Redium due to the conflict taking part in mindscape the characters can use any weapon they are familar with and don't have to worry about running out of anmo.

Injuries sustained stay and can effect rolls. For example if UbeOne Kin cuts off real!kins hand real kin suffers a penalty to throwing or hand based actions.

Due to the mental location both players can exert a degree of control over the environment or themselves. This counts as a action and any changes induced can be countered by the other party though the effect and counter count as actions.

For example real!kin rolls the dice to grow to giant size and stomps on UbeOne Kin, UbeOne kin can in their response action shrink real!Kin back down.

Any Questions?

Defintiely.

And hey, you get to see the actions unfold before your number come up.
