Going by the end of the first episode, he merely breaks free and goes out through a wall. He does make a scene though, with debris falling around him as pedestrians/passerbys watch. So might get involved in that, with a decision whether or not to intervene.
Also a lot of Bang Baby's die after gaining consciousness or during their transformation because they end up panicking and losing control of their powers.
Err...could we get canon confirmation on this? This is kinda serious if true. Or if that's what Coshiua is assuming. I also don't yet have a good sense of what percentage of people Coshiua killed off in the initial event. Most? Half? A small fraction? None?

To be honest some of that is Headcanon and it has been a while since I watched the first episode. But I remember thinking that that is what was happening when I watched it. And I also remember thinking that the Numerous drugs and chemicals that the hospital was pumping into them to knock them out wasn't helping. Mutagenic substance of unknown Lethality(Effects) + High Grade Medicinal Anaesthesia as well as Pain relievers = cataclysmic Cascade failure.
Mutagenic substance of unknown Lethality(Effects) + complete Panic and disorientation = Out of control Mutation of abilities.
Exhibit A Most of the Bang Baby's that were left alone survived. Homeless guy that became a power broker. Homeless girl that became Ice girl.
I also know that this is not the only interpretation of this evidence. That distance from the epicentre is a factor as well as Quantity of Gas that became in contact with you. Not just inhaling.
yeah, I distinctly remember a scene where a guy on a gurney melts into a formless purple slime somewhere around episode 2. Also there is that kid who suicides by self petrification on a OD of the gas later on. the stuff is potentially deadly so I won't be surprised if a bunch of people just straight up die in the initial blast.

Yeah... Can we please go to the hospital? The police is already scouring the docks for bang babies with a lot more manpower than we can bring to the table, and none of us have sensory powers. If our people are hiding here chances are we won't find them unless we get really lucky. However, if they can be found, chances are the police have done so already in the past hours and brought them to the hospital.
We wanna be there in case someone blows it up with their unstable powers, and also so we can get them out before someone does questionably ethical medical things to them.
I did not agree with how that scene progressed. It was nice to see how other -- less fortunate -- Bang Babies were [still] mutating because of the quantum vapor that they had been exposed to, but Francis was neither strapped down or appeared to have gone through anything that the hospital staff could have tried to lower his temperature.
It might be said that the doctors didn't know that he was mutating like the other Bang Babies, but if that was true then they should have done more to lower his temperature....
Maybe we could get some IC knowledge about what happened to us, along with possibly finding either other Devils or members of other gangs ready to jump ship—and I definitely don't want to be in the hospital when Hotstreak breaks out.

Bang Baby
Episode 002
September 20th, 2001
I looked toward Ron. "... I think that it would be a good idea to head and check out the hospitals later. There's a chance that if the others would have been taken to a hospital like those other two just were if the police found them, but..... I think that it would better to search the area to make sure that they're not out here first and then start checking out the hospitals."
"Yeah." Ron let out a breath. "If the others haven't been found and taken to the hospital -- and they're hurt -- then we'll need to find them soon before too much longer."
I nodded in response before I held out a hand to tell Ron to wait when I noticed that he had started to shift on his feet. I waited until the cops had thumped the back of the ambulance twice and the ambulance had started to drive off in the direction of the hospital before I lowered my hand. Ron and I rose from the crouching positions that we had assumed and then turned on our heels to start walking back the way that we had come to resume our search for the others.
XxX=-=XxX
Ron and I remained in the area for hours, searching through it for the others or a sign that the others had been there, but over and over again we would be disappointed, as each place we checked turned up no sign of the others. I could tell that our lack of progress had started to frustrate Ron, but while he turned to me with a look that made me think that he was about to tell me that this was pointless and that we should head back, he would bite his tongue and turn back around to help me continue to search. I didn't know what stopped him from saying it -- and I didn't really care. All that I cared about was the fact that he hadn't said that, that he hadn't bailed on me, in spite of how he must have felt.
I had us search for as long as I could, but when Ron's stomach started to grumble, I decided that I had held as long as possible. I stepped out of the room that I had been checking and turned around toward Ron as he turned toward me. He looked at me with that look again, seemed to think something over for a moment, and opened his mouth.
I spoke before he could. "I think it's time that we head back."
Ron stared at me for a moment, nodded, and then turned around. I followed him as he made his way down the hallway toward the back of the house and the side door that we had come in from, our feet barely making a sound against the hard floor, when he reached the door, he opened it and we left the building just as quietly.
I let Ron lead me down the alley, around the corner and out onto the street. As Ron and I walked through the streets, I could feel countless pairs of eyes turn toward us just as they had the previous times that we had come here, but this time I didn't bother to look around for them. I just walked, letting myself be led by the person who I considered to be an older brother, out of the area and toward somewhere where Ron and I could get to eat.
I saw Ron stiffen in front of me, and opened my mouth to ask him what was wrong, when I spotted them. Two uniformed officers were walking straight down the other end of the street toward us.
'Oh, shit.' I thought.
"This could be bad." Ron said, his voice low to avoid being heard by the two cops walking toward us. "How do you think that we should handle this, Susan?"
I thought it over for a brief moment. "I don't think that we can take the two of them on -- not without attracting a lot of attention that we don't need right now." I frowned. "It would be better if we played along with them to see what they want and try to leave without causing a scene. But if it comes down to it...."
Ron nodded.
The cops did not stop walking until they were in front of Ron and I. "I'm afraid that we're going to have to ask that the two of you evacuate the area." The one in front of me said. he looked between the Ron and I. "A hazardous substance was released into the area a couple of hours ago. While this substance has since been contained, until we can make sure that it will not have any lasting effect, the two of you will need to head to the evacuation point."
"Before that, though, I would like to ask if the two of you were in the area a couple of hours ago. If the two of you were around a couple of hours ago, you might have seen what happened."
I looked at Ron from out of the corner of my eye --
[X] Cooperate with the policemen. [] Do not cooperate with the policemen. Quest Master's Note: I would have liked to have had Ron and Susan encounter a couple of other Bang Babies in this post, but I decided not to. It didn't make sense for other Bang Babies to hang around the area after police swarmed the area in response to the Big Bang. Hopefully, future encounters that I have planned will make up for the lack of encounters in this post.
I don't want to raise too much attention, since we have already gotten police attention before by fleeing them. We just have to be careful and avoid face contact.
[Gangbanger] - I am a known member of one of Dakota City's numerous gangs. I have an increased reputation with the members of your gang -- the Dockside Devils -- but a lowered reputation with law enforcement. +5 bonus to all interactions with Dockside Devils, -5 malus to all interactions with law enforcement.
-5 to all interactions on a D20!!! seiously people you may want to avoid atention but talking to them is bond to end in disaster and give the cops time to surround us, remeber not only are we gangbanger's but our friend is also a murderer so the safest optionis simple to run while we still can hope to avoid a fight.
