How Should Minions Be Capped?

Sorry. Any further changes like that will have a turn of warning.

It doesn't change the minuses we got this turn.

I've basically lost the Motobug - a design specifically themed to my character, that I included because it's themed to my character, that I had hoped to use long term because it's themed to my character, because you retroactively changed the rules without giving me a chance to fix it.

No "Would anyone like to change their lone wolf actions to avoid the penalty this turn", nothing temporary that I can learn from like the people who 'merely' got injured (which genuinely would have been preferred to effectively not being able to upgrade my minion design), this is very much a long term penalty that's happening because you implemented a very strict rule change that I was not given an option to respond to (though I do thank you for giving me the last minute option to change the other action that would have been lone wolf if I hadn't realized that no one else was working on the Junkyard that turn), I wasn't even entirely sure if the penalty would take effect on that turn or if you were giving us a warning so that we'd know to do it the following turn.

Again, it's very frustrating to get hit with something like that.

Eh, sorry; I outsourced the writing of the Lone Wolf actions. I'll go back and impose something a bit less permanent, if you like?

Boss Minions Around
[x] - Grab a couple of interns and have them help building Mechanogoblins

RESEARCH ACTIONS
[X] Design a Blueprint
-[X] Orthanc Server with integrated Signal Decrypter and a Portable Text and Speech Translation Unit. Designation: Amon Hen (Design intended to support Espionage/Combat actions where being able to casually break enemy encryption methods in seconds is useful, while providing MADmen with excellent communication)

OPERATIONS ACTIONS
[X] BUILD Minions
-[X] Mechanogoblins

At basically all players; I am building Mechanogoblins on the assumption that they'll be very useful on future Espionage actions (that 2 point Espionage yo), while the Orthanc Server variant is for future actions.

Well, if I survived this raid that is. However..
"This will be a promising future 'Boss' . Indeed, it will be quite promising"
I will. I think I'll be copying the non-pandora parts of Ylamona's vote.
Is someone making the power armors however?
*points at 2 furnaces and other minions*

I am sure that other people would spare an action to create some, right?

Gonna stay away from fighting, as I don't have stats nor... anything to contribute.

If you have anything directly relating to probability, statistics, or chaos theory, count me in.
As an example and suggestion:
Computerized Reality Model: When fed accurate data of someone's abilities, inclinations, and situations, it can predict their next action with 90% accuracy. Works on whole organizations as well as just individuals.
I'd be willing to upgrade this system, allowing for more more wholesome and in-depth modelling of reality.
My purpose is to use it to study the Butterfly Effect (have a whole cage of them, after all). It could also allow for better predictions in general, be they for research or combat.

My actually crazy plans involves integrating probability-altering devices, time travel and even better predictions to pretty much remove the randomness of dice rolls.
*EVIL LAUGHTER*

Oh, also, if you have a bat-shit insane idea for an invention combining 3 or more already used gadgets, then consider me intrigued.

We should have 3 Furnaces and a lot more minions, but I didn't see anything about those actions in the update.

First, we need to figure out what the normals know in general about the supernatural.
Until six months ago, little beyond what you'd expect of pop culture. Lately, there's all sorts of crazy semi-accurate rumors floating around, but little concrete knowledge if any.

Second, we need to figure out the local supernatural scene, its power players, its small fry, and the relationships between all of them. Also, we need to subvert at least a couple to become helpful to us.
Well, the relationships are quite straightforward: Everyone hates everyone else.

Third, we need to figure out what government forces, normal and supernatural (if the supernatural has governments), are actively interacting with the other side. This is really important, as it can indicate the extent of the interference.
???

Right, in order then:

Whatever is upholding the veil is failing in some manner.

Everyone hates everyone is useful, volatile, dangerous and not helpful if we don't know everyone.

Lack of knowledge regarding the government/supernatural connection is expected and will likely need successful Espionage actions.

*Literally what Pandora and planned upgrade does*

Help with production this turn perhaps?

I've got an idea for a minion/bot that is 30 feet tall combines a Forging Furnace, Robot Maintenance Hub, and really big gun of some kind, maybe a few more things as I think it over.

[X] Yes
[X] Upgrade Norm
-[X] Give him upgraded armor making him immune to everything short of atomic bombs, give him missiles to launch from his stomach region, add retractable spikes on his right hand and left arm, let him switch out his right hand for a flamethrower, chainsaw, and energy bullet shooters, and his left hand with an incinerator beam and energy beam that can cause a moon size explosion, and give him jet propelled feet. Basically his gear in Norm Unleashed
[X] Help retrieve the kidnapped scientist from the wizards
-[X] Bring Norm with.

....umm...ok?..yeah? Maybe next turn? Like I know it would be nice to have that absurdity, but maybe something a bit more...possible? Not that I don't like fun or anything. I just couldn't really help this turn.

Fine. How about I just say to give him jet propelled feet, upgraded armor upgrade, and a back up generator?

I am fine with absurdity, since it will be nerfed to hell by GM anyway, but it just I am rather occupied this turn. Though if you could find someone to help, I am fine with it.

Also just say that you want to fuse norm and Orichalcum v1

At the very least, I'm assuming the Motobug isn't getting updated this turn, but while waiting for the update...

@Trondason , you asked about air drones last turn, how would you feel about helping me design an air unit this turn?

[] Design a blueprint - "Buzzkill"
-[] A flying combat and surveilance robot that resembles a giant, red metal bee. Incorporating flight from a combination of high-tech 'wings' and miniature repulsorlift technology, the Buzzkill features advanced sensor and targeting systems for locating and locking onto targets, as well as a 'stinger' that, while by default is loaded with a buster pistol, can be swapped out for other small-scale weapons options. Comes complete with a self-destruct system for creating distractions, preventing capture by enemy forces, or other emergencies.

I'm open to design suggestions if anyone's got them.

Add several rotating blades to it for use in melee conditions.

I can work with that. :D

I want to look into cultist and alien activity.
Cultists because I think all factions can agree that they are a threat to the planet.
Aliens because think of the tech.

Might want to look into the possibility of allying with the werewolves at some point. Specifically looking at what their long term goal is and if we can accept it.
