Would have traded for it but came in later and the things I went for were mostly greater/cosmics anyways that I felt needed to get in

The Hedge Wall physical dimensions have alien skies of all sorts: dark empty void, endless ocean of stars, night and day cycle... So some places will have good amounts of light. Also, aren't there living stars flying around somewhere?​

Well, yeah. Most of the places in reality would be dark, but this is just a start of creation. We will be fine.

Your talking about the Stellavita, though i'm not sure if they produce any light.

Edit: wouldn't stop it being Twilight though.
 
Lesser Act - Stellavita: A Primordial played with the foundation of the Islands of Order cracking the crystalline that made up their cradle into tiny little shards. From these shards they would mush, click together and generally play with till shapes began to form. Tiny shapes yet jagged and pointed. The more the primordial made the more they seemed to shine until they began to spin and when they span they cast a light. So the Stellavita came to be tiny living stars made from the bits and pieces of the crystalline islands darting like little birds and singing just like them amongst the islands of order. Scurrying and speeding they grew in number to be innumerable like the sand waiting for a chance to explore the world outside the cradle. Little bit of order that brought reality a tiny bit closer to something sane, yet a single grain of sand cannot stem a river but a boatload... now we're talking.


They're at grand, so solar system level.

One of my ideas - to make my primordial take roots, turning into a tree and losing its self. Because trees don't have any selves, so it would become more akin of reality funtion, one of its laws. I have an idea to make the tree bloom and produce the Fruit. However, I am also thinking about making it into one of possible afterlives. To become one with the tree, with the world itself. Transcend your own self in this nirvana, become brick in the foundtions of reality. Or you can just stick near the tree, be in whatever afterlife you imagine to be right, or of which you think you are worthy, or just go into the Hedge, into the Void or Chaos: to turn into something else or just disappear. This idea is still in work, still cooking in my mind.​

Growing additional arms out of valuable materials in order to cut them of is an option then:V

I wanted to introduce a creature that makes use of the dimenional magic.

[⌛][?] Buggy Huggys
A pest from outside gnawing on the Hedge and other dimensional oddities and converting stolen the energy into a impossible lights that shine in all the directions, even the impossible ones. These pests have an easy time traveling the strange spaces due their large eyes and fuzzy antennae helping them see and observe strange geometries and navigate them with their many legs.

The mortal races know these pests as Huggie Buggies or under similar terms, because they are best known for the hugs when they leave the Hedge.

For every period that can be typified as a 'day' they will stop glowing and leave the Hedge on mass to cuddle the creatures who do not fight them.
The Buggy Huggy will gift their Cuddle buddy their literal heart and fly away to die somewhere where they can't be found. This can be interpreted as the beginning of the year and the beginning of the dark season.
Their heart has become an fragile egg which contains pocket dimension their buddy can crawl into to share into the warmth and comfort it provides the larvae egg to their larvae and various other things they've learned while hugging their through their bond with their buddies. If the egg and larvae inside survive then the egg will burst at the beginning of the next year marking a new period of light.

It is fortunate that the hedge is infinitely bigger than what these pests can damage to be a real threat.

Seems like you'll want Souls then, for afterlives to be relevant seems important.

...Not a correct assumption, I'm afraid. Once a dimension is made, it stays until its destroyed, Magic keeps it around for longer periods of time, from natural causes, being lost in the void or Chaos. Someone could destroy a pocket dimension, as well.
 
Alright that makes those hearts more wholesome. Was a bit afraid that they would be required to hold a bit of their predecessors mind.

Actually they don't strictly needed. I think about it like... If self awareness exists, if self is a thing at all, than conceptually it can be extracted. When something dies, stop physically existing, its idea is still there - still lingers. Things happened, it is in the past, which means something still exists as an idea in a world of forms. It just come back there. The only way to actually destroy something, is retroactively delete or warp its nature. Like it always was, what it is and will be in the case of pure destruction.

Tree could be as metaphysical structure, as the Hedge Wall. It means, it connected to all things existing. When something dies and doesn't have means of going back to physical state, it finds itself near this non-physical tree, finds itself as being an idea. This is what soul is - just idea of being someone, of being self. Tree just make it possible for someone going over the edge to still be aware of their existence, retain quilia to decide what they are going to do now as a concept of thier self.

Edit: Because just creating souls sounds like making something physical, which can be played with, taken from one place and into another. I don't want soul going into other place, I want creatures' self and awareness be afterwards. And also give them new perpsective on themselves, because they are just themselves and nothing else now.​

They are self-fertilizing, with the fruits having limited intelligence beyond skittering to a new place to plant themselves before their energy stores are used up. Their metabolization of gravity mainly causes matter near them to reduce in weight as they increase in number, though their root system prevents the worst of the terrain degradation.

They shall be called Toons and at the beginning of a Toon's life they will typically resemble a black and/or white blob by default, although they can also inherit traits from their progenitor if they have one. As a Toon experiences life and learns they can develop color, body features (& 'artstyles'), personality quirks, etc. A Toon can reproduce either through mitosis, with another of it's kind, or just manifest over time if there is enough unused ink in an area. Toons tend to be impulsive and take multiple incidents to learn lessons, but thankfully they're also pretty durable and can bounce back from most accidents. Finally they can die, but not of old age or lack of sustenance (but they can enjoy food & drink).

Additionally, at this stage of development pieces of it on the outer edges of the island start to fragment into cloudy, colorless lumps, breaking off into seeds for new Living Crystal hives if they hit another island by chance.

It's a little bit cold to the touch, weighs 0.5 pounds (About a can of soup), doesn't reflect any light at all, it's edges are somehow not actually sharp, has a bit of drag whenever it moves (Akin to how a balloon filled with air would move) but when thrown through the air doesn't actually tip or turn-just stays in the same position it left the ground. The strangest thing though, is that it's completely and utterly indestructible
      [X] Angel of the Empty Sky: At the top of the garden wall, lies a thing armed with many, many hands. Its sole purpose is to witness the highest of the empty skies and return to rest as many times as possible, ad infinitum, and record what lies there in the mind that it has been created with. First, its hands may grip upon anything, from the empty air to its mind itself, and its arm blessed to give just enough strength to climb over what it has gripped. Second, so long as it adheres to its purpose, it shall never need of anything and be animated solely through its duty. Third, its self will adapt to the highest of the Void, and so long that it returns to rest, it will be capable of climbing ever-higher reaches of the Empty Sky.

    Are the changes I made to the fruit to account for the tree's ascension to Grand too much for a single act?
