[X] Help find you an advisor for...

We have no leads on a Learning advisor and in a world where prototype frames stomp the ever loving shit out of everyone else that is unacceptable.

Think that at the moment what we really need the most is a stewardship advisor since we are going to be spending a lot of action expanding and we also need more money. Not to mention that the QM mentioned that we would need a stewardship action to get a piety lab to get another piety action so we'd be investing in potentially two new actions.

I'd have thought getting a claim on Australia would be more enticing, but I guess that's not as big a deal as I thought.

In any case, diplomacy is super important and one of our weakest stats, so that's totally fine as well.

It's CS Lewis, one of his less-famous works compared to Alice in Wonderland, but the Walrus and the Carpenter was something I read a few times growing up and certain lines have always stuck in my head. It's one of my more-liked pieces of poetry, though Ozymandias and In Flander's Fields still beat it out.
Pretty sure you mean Lewis Carrol.

Learning and diplomacy advisor are great, except they all require money for their actions. You might argue that they could also bring income under their specialty such as invention or trade agreement; but that's tasking someone in the wrong field to do someone else's job without clear need.

Schneizel has a very significant interest in new technologies. I suspect he'll be very well equipped to find us a good advisor in this field.

Yes, I do. I hate it when I mix those two up, dammit, and I do it all the time...
Easy enough to do, considering the names.

I majored in education, but am out of college at this point. My background, specifically, is in History Ed.

My mother taught English for 30 years, though, if that helps. Why do you ask?

Diction used probably. I attribute it to be a good author and GM, but I can see why some would jump to English Major

Edit: lol, phone posting fail. Still stand by what I said though

The Australia scheme is going to have a long turnaround no matter what before it brings us any profits, that's why I liked the idea of gaining fame is Russia first so we'd be able to build up for a better jumping off point when colonizing. The fact that full on war might be declared soon makes that more of a High risk/Reward choice, though the two of them both seemed to thing it would be something of a stomp so maybe not as much risk.

It also seemed to me that he was implying that the pirates had Brit backing, so that's something to account for as well.

Now that we've got our fief set up I'd expect we'll take an option to increase monetization there, but the main reason I went for learning is because filling out the roster of Advisors is a long term thing and a cash crunch (Which we're not even really under yet) shouldn't necessarily force our hand. As I see it these are our current possibilities

Martial - Filled
Diplomacy - First Choice: Euphemia SL 3/Diplo 22 (Two to go, so likely two years), Second Choice: Gino SL 2/Diplo 19 (Less chances to increase so hard to say how long). A good spread of available talent for the role.
Stewardship - First choice: Milly SL2/S 19 (Decently close allies so can probably raise SL relatively fast), Second Choice Hannes SL1/S 19 (Would take a while). A decent amount of choice.
Intrigue - We're our own boss here
Learning - First choice: 4+ years of university to try to get the mecha fanatic. A poor amount of options
Piety - Two actions to build a shrine for our glowing ball. A fast turnaround.

I hope this quest doesn't ends up like canon, super "prototype" piloted by super ace wrecks every other mechs like papers in grinder. Prototype doesn't works that way.

Well I have biases, I love mechs but I love combined arms more.
Just take a look at this guy imagination
Can you imagine it? The Knightmare Frames dropping down with a oversized sort of jet pack strapped to their superstructure, slowing down and stabilising their fall before igniting a burst to bleed out most of the velocity, being decoupled just a few meters above ground as the Knightmares fire into the nearby enemy formations, followed shortly after as the ODST pods crash into the barely cleared area and deploy their soldiers...
IMO, That would be more awesome to see than a duel between aces in "protoype" KMFs

We need the money for future options but I can't deny the allure of getting help finding a learning advisor from the guy, THE guy who fund a research so KMF can fly.

It does in mecha anime. As far back as the original Gundam at least, prototypes are always these super mechs that apparently were designed by people with no concept of budget or actually making it so that the average pilot can use it.

Huh, I got something a lot more messy out of that bit of information. It's one thing to hire privateers to harass Indonesian waters, it's another to give rogue agents top of the line equipment.
Whatever's going on in Australia is definitely more convoluted than them being on the Black Budget Payroll.

The Cash Must Flow...so we can deal with those meddlesome pirates and their little knightmares too. It's a pity I like their moniker so much. More seriously, building up our income could attract the science-types looking for sponsors later. Plus, now that we're on slightly good terms with Schneizel it may mean Dearest Sister Guinevere might not be too sweet on us...if she ever was. Best to get a good Steward now before she thinks to blacklist us as a potential Schneizelite.

Yes it does, but I hope this quest won't hit that particular anime trope

Perhaps it is some kind of super secret research facility? Where you can do questionable research? Whatever it is, we can't attack the pirate in their territory soon. We need to spend an intrigue action to scout them first.

Also keep the loyalty of the new advisor in mind. Diplomacy while sending HIS agent is double edged, and a Steward would know what we do in detail.

Technology wise? Not so unique that he can't get if he wanted

Because building an elite cover operations group, and technological empire were noted to be Lelouch's strengths.

Tempted by the money, very tempted, but advisors are important.

Martial we have.
Intrigue is our best stat and we have no pressing projects here.
Learning is a very long term thing and is likely to be highly money intensive.

Diplomacy is where we are weakest but we do have our own option coming along, assuming we can spare the actions to get her.
Piety would be great to have but it only improves our action economy.
Stewardship is vital and our current option is not remotely ready.

It is still very early on in Knightmare development, as such early advancements here, while expensive, would allow for astonishing victories. This would let us get Australia easier and thus someone worth more then being a royal.

@Slayer Anderson Is it possible to pick up Lloyd or Cecile at this point in time? Raksata would be cool but I'm highly doubtful.

Our demesne isn't large enough to need a stewardship advisor, and if we can score Milly for that roll we are guaranteed quality and someone who's reforms will be beneficial to all Britanians, as well as maintaining ties with the Ashfords.

We don't need Intrigue, as it's our best stat and piety is important for Lelouch to master but real world problems first then psyker powers.
