Voted best in category in the Users' Choice awards.
[ ] The Fall of the House of Ten Masks.
-Pros: Appealing to lovers of history and those inclined towards melancholy and tragic stories. Relatable to those who have suffered great loss in the new order of Las Noches.
-Cons: Possibly displeasing to Barragan. Grimmjow will be bored.

[ ] The Tragedy of the Radiant Eye.
-Pros: Fascinating to those with an inclination for the mysteries of the occult and the Hollow condition in general. A powerful message on seizing fleeting moments of life, for you are all doomed in the end.
-Cons: Absolutely depressing to literally everyone else, you included. Might spoil the mood of the gala.
I wonder if we can string these two together in a way that leaves people wondering which one we were talking about; they even seem like they are almost about the same thing (making something more in the fleeting light of lightning); not only would it bring out the spite and competition in people to life despite life, time, and the whole world telling you to just lay down and die, but it would also invoke a aspect of the whole "born of god and void" thing from Hollow Knight.

Coming of the King sounds like the best choice.

Going crowd-pleaser is exactly what we want. The whole point of this, after all, is to start boot-strapping into the Espada and arrancar actually socializing and doing stuff besides being lurking in empty rooms and picking fights.

So, we want as many people as possible to enjoy themselves, and want to talk about it, and then want to come see the next one.

Annoying the shinigami isn't an real problem. Nobody is going to be the slightest bit surprised that Nemo, who just spent days being held captive by Tousen, or Cirucci, who just started a rebellion that ended in a death-match, aren't the biggest fans of shinigami. It's not going to cause them to retaliate.

Also, actually doing an opera. Wow. I like it. You don't do things small, do you, Nemo?

You know once Cirucci gets back I sort of want to see her acting as a voice coach for some of the Opera Troupe......and to stick with the Hollow Knight theme I think they should be known as the Grim Troupe.

I don't think we can push our luck with a show of insubordination; Aizen's caveat for dropping the whole matter was her reswearing her oaths, if you'll recall, and immediately choosing the least Aizen-sensitive option is definitely not safe for reasons that have nothing to do with how reasonable the holding of such a position might be.

Like, it's safe enough that we can suggest it without thinking that it'll probably lead to instant death, but it's not safe safe, you know?

And Displeasing Stark doesn't sound good not because he'll do anything about it, but because Starke is there to make friends and we shouldn't ruin his time.

The Tragedy is, well, a tragedy, but it has some things going for it that mean that it shouldn't be tossed out of hand.

Favoring this
Barragan's displeasure is offset by Cirucci's new achievement and Aizen's rule. It's unlikely that he'd be too upset compared to the revelation that skeletons can get swole.
So the probable problem is a bored Grimmjow starting shit.

I would've loved the Duke v Nnoitra option.

A type of Hollow Eulogy.

Pros: Everyone can dig it, it's respectful.
Cons: Nemo is uncomfortable because fuck that guy, amirite?

"Well, there's the Tragedy of the Radiant Eye."

No. Screw that. No one wants to hear about He Who Leers.

"Aw, c'mon, you're no fun. I can definitely point to a few people who would love to hear a story about the black sea, the Horizon Prince, and the thing with many names. All the occult weirdos and those too curious for their own good - Aaroniero, Zommari, the Tres Bestias, even Szayel. Hell, the core of sheer nihilism to it might even appeal to Ulquiorra. And it's not like the others will get upset and walk out of the room."

No. No, it's not. But… There's a difference between the cathartic sadness of a tragedy based on something very distant, whether in time or space - and the dread of singing about something that is, quite literally, under your feet right now.

"Yeah, but at least we're not offending anyone or accusing Aizen of ill intentions with that one. We're just reminding them that the world they live in is a fundamentally evil, empty, hungry desert that will swallow us all, and there is no escape, no respite, only the moments we share before the horrible agony of the end."
Ooh, creepy. I've always been partial to Hueco Mundo worldbuilding along the lines of 'the moon is a giant hollow's mask' and whatever, this seems to be indicating something like-
"And two of them ain't even from me! It's nonsense, all of it, of course - although probably still half true, I s'pose. Hooleer's name makes no sense, for one.

Hooleer? The ghost of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man? Wonderweiss's pet? The guy that got oneshotted by a Super Mashiro Kick? Basically just a big ball of Gillians?

Now I can't vote for this. I have to maintain the mental image of all of these demigodlike Arrancar quivering in their boots at the thought of friggin' Hooleer.

The Con is more the risk that whichever version of the story Luppi was told includes a bit about a moth Adjucha betraying the army at the last moment and ruining whatever chance it had of defeating Nnoitra.

I think I prefer this: In addition to the stated pros and cons, a tale of tragedy in a world falling apart alongside it's masters is also a tale is one of the importance of standing together.

And, to be fair, the betraying is always Luppi's favorite part, so he would definitely include it, even if he didn't realize it was Nemo.

If he realized it was Nemo, he'd just enjoy it that much more.

Yeah, I may have hugely changed that guy behind the scenes :V

Hooleer/He Who Leers/The Radiant Eye takes more from the bit where he casually blows away Yamamoto's unbreakable flame prison that even Aizen couldn't break through and the part where he vomits out a horde of Gillians so vast even the Captains are threatened than the part where Mashiro goes Kamen Rider on him and one-shots him.

[X] The Tragedy of the Radiant Eye.

Worldbuilding about a big creepy mystery thing that's explicitly noted as being way more cool in this quest than canon? Hells yeah!
Even the name "He Who Leers" as an explanation for why it's called "Hooleer" is freaking neat.

[X] The Tragedy of the Radiant Eye.

Can we at least learn a little about the eldritch abomination in our basement? If you don't want it for any of the other reason's it's the best?

Credit goes to @Aleph on this one, as I found his name bizarrely lame and was wondering what to do with it, and she came up with that idea.

Bleach is usually pretty good at names but occasionally you get stuff like this guy or "White" or whatever the hell is up with Nel :V

It's a crying shame the story about him is locked behind the "This is a terrible idea and will ruin Cirucci's gala and make everyone miserable" warning.
