Deploy MAS-1 on the colony to protect it and give fire support for the escort's and the cruiser to defend peak from a pirate insertion, also to bombard the pirate fleet
Zaku II's and Fighters to take cover and ambush the enemy MS suits when they reach the outer field.
NZ-666 Kshatrix is to engage the enemy special MS
The fleet is to engage is suppression fire against the pirate fleet and defend the colony.
Commando's are to prepare for boarding if one of the pirate vessels is capable of being captured, having a few of these vessels to study in the long run would be beneficial for a small reaction force for the commandos.
also insure the survival of the new pilot for our armed forces...if he can be persuaded in time to accept Zeon's Views, also this is a first taste of combat for him, he might be a Newtype for all we know, Insure Ingris keeps an eye on him.
(also our construction should have 23 IR, unless we didn't get the 10 from Europa...)
-construction: if we recover the 10 IR
[X] Security Center (10IR)-Peak
[X] Tank Factory (10IR)-Europa
but damn those dice rolls...we probably did some good shit this time, though repairing Zaku's and fighters might be a must after this fight.
and considering the bonus's, well heres to hoping we keep our pilots, cause were down about 3 of them I think, which means more pilot training and two more Zaku's and a fighter before we get back to our original strength.
were going to need to go through a mass production rate in order to get things up to where I would like them in terms of defenses for Europa and Peak.

I'm also trying to experiment with an excel-sheet type readout for the Zakus and other mobile suits and their upgrades, but that's proving to be less effective then I thought. So if any players have an idea for an excel-type program to display the MS upgrades, definitely let me know. Otherwise I'll probably just slog through excel
Construction has completed on Zeon Fighter Factory/Airbase. Fighter units are now available.
Construction has completed on Peak Orbital Defense System. The mining colony is now capable of defending itself from space-bound enemies.
You watch the approaching enemy mobile suits from the command deck of the Wrath of the Awakened. You know they're the same pirates who tried to peddle their services to you. Now the only question is how capable their weapons are.
True to the plan, the Zaku's and Dopps wait among the floating asteroids. Ingris has taken the special MS out into the open space beyond the asteroid base in the outer gravity field. She keeps her MS there, as if to taunt the incoming pirates. Also present is one of the gunships, which releases volley after volley. The MAS-1 perches on an asteroid, also release bright beams of powerful cannon fire.
The shots mostly miss, which is the point. The pirate Mobile Suits duck and weave around the shots as they approach, all swarming for Ingris and her NZ-666.
As the pirates pass the first couple asteroids, the Zukus and Dopps makes their move. They swarm out, appearing on the pirates' sensors simultaneously. There aren't enough Zeon MS's to truly overwhelm the pirates, but they do scatter.
And that is when the hunt begins.
Inrgis takes her Krshyna and blasts around in a frenzied dance as she attempts to pin down the enemy leader MS. The Zakus split off into pairs and hunt the pirates that spread out into the asteroid cluster.
The battle doesn't last long. You take the Gunships and your Light cruiser and break out from the asteroid cover, blasting full speed towards the enemy pirate cruiser. You release every weapon you have, some impacting against the ship, others barely missing.
The ship is damaged, but still makes a break for it. If you really committed one of the gunships, you could probably disable its engines, but you might have to chase it a for a bit.
[] Let is run
[] Send _____ after it
Your Mobile Suits made quick work of the pirates. Ingris, in her typical fashion, tore her query to pieces, leaving blown chunks of twisted mobile suit metal drifting aimlessly around an asteroid. Three of the regular enemy mobile suits were destroyed. Another two were severely damaged and surrendered.

Yup I'm going to actually take this opportunity to mock up an MS status sheet. It'll take a hot minute. I didn't include CE percentages in the last battle because it was kind of small, but they'll be back in a few turns depending on what you guys decide, so base modifiers will be important. Off the top of my head most of the Zaku's have been modified with Head Sphere Sensors and New Generation Beam Rifles. If I'm forgetting something let me know

Construction has begun on Peak Security Center (Orbital Defense System was already construction, option was made available on accident)
The insignificant wreckage of the battle floats before you. The raiders did not have so much fight to them after all. You eye the raider's main ship making a break for it on the display. Your tap your fingers as you decide whether to pursue.
"I want that ship," You say. Captain Lennstett nods.
"Send a gunship and some Dopps," The captain yells. The command staffers throw on their headsets and begin relaying the orders. The captain of the Zarmouth gunship steers her out of the asteroid and opens up all thrusters. It takes off after the pirate ship.
It takes two hours, but eventually the gunship overcomes the fleeing vessel, blowing one of its engines and overheating the other.

awesome a shipyard! this could be a massive boom for us in the long run, but for now, we don't have enough money or pilots to get things done the way I want them to, so I'm going with my original plan here...
[X] Orbital Defense System Upgrade (20IR)-Peak
(this is to get it to max so we don't have to worry about it in the future, plus with next turn we can start a zaku factory or start getting a economy going)
turn 3 IR into 6 Spare parts, use all 6 parts to repair mobile suits.
Also we should check in with our newest recruits, see if they are doing fine (both the pirate and the boy), insure the pirate understands he now represents Zeon's forces. (also insure he undergoes some retraining under a competent commander to instill loyalty to the cause, if he surrendered so easily whos to say he wont next time? or sell information to the highest bidder? a bit of a hypocritical action that we should stamp out eventually...also this would give our newest pilot someone to bond with, but if we can show the kiddo Zeon's good side while insuring we also have a bad side by going through both versions of the one year war *though edited to show Gihiren as responsible for most of the atrocities that Zeon had created under HIS orders, its a way to show that we are changing and trying to be better then before...also that earth federation or anything run by damn bureaucrats will always go bad eventually...like democracy does*)
edited: also can we start having our engineer's roll for any bonuses that the newer technology that the Corporation had as well as our recent acquirements of mobile suits? mostly to see if they can replicate any technology that's better or adapt the old systems to the new, aka hybridization the best parts of both tech.
also sooner or later were going to need more IR converted to get all our suits up to snuff with all the newer combat systems and holy shit our Special MS is a monster of 70 combat modifier...combined with our Newtype no wonder that thing has been a beast all this time! sooner or later that girl is going to be a protagonist or something for this quest! if anything I wouldn't be surprised if she has a crush or something on our glorious leader right now, would explain her effectiveness! Also Newtype's be bullshit. (lets not get into cyber newtypes...those poor types tend to go nuts or suffer to much to allow that program to continue)
and finally, I'm getting the feeling we should start looking into possible traitors or those who want to replace us...and...dissuade them subtly about their notions, after all Zeon cant handle a change in leadership or any kind of figure headed system. Find out whos the loyalists and whos moderates and who are radicals that want nothing more then continuous bloodshed.
edited again: 150 IR to get all the upgrade I want, 15 turns provided we don't get another option to get more mines, or possible chance to expand on the asteroid mining facilities.
Also @Lop can you thread mark the turns of the quest? it would allow us to navigate it and possibly allow newcomers to go through any talk we may make to get to the meat and bones of the quest.

its the thing that the creators of threads can do, not sure how to do it myself...maybe you can ask someone on the site or explore the options?
edited: HOLY SHIT 20 turns already!?! we should have a special event happen sooner or later every 25 turns or something, heck have a special event roll just for fun! (QM can do the roll if they want! just make a list, anything lower then 25 could be a bad event like a strike or some hostile populace riot that causes a small temporarily drop in the assimilation into Zeon, or have our miners strike gold or even better metals by accident...heck even invent better mining drills or something! or even hit some deposit that allows us to research some interesting stuff or sell cool stuff on the market for gc and such!)

Construction has completed on Zeon Security System. Peak Assimilation is at level 2, with 70% of the population stable and 30% restless.
Construction has begun on Peak Orbital Defense Upgrade. Construction will complete in 1 turn.
Construction has begun on Zaku Factory. Construction will complete in 1 turn.
Peak is a busy station. Lights flicker from inside massive tunnels as the miners work around the clock in shifts to extract the precious ore from inside the belt. Elsewhere, construction teams work on large anchors as large guns are installed in key points among the base.
You watch it all from inside a new building on the outside of Peak proper. It is a spire, strong and tall. At its tip is a wall-sized window, from which you may watch the activity.
In time the tower will be something else, but for now you enjoy it. The door behind you hisses, and boots walk in. You turn, breaking away from the view. Vice Admiral Kubric and Captain Lennstett stand before you.
"Gentlemen," You say, nodding to them. You take your silver helmet from a wooden stand and slip it over your head.
"Sir," Captain Lennstett says, saluting. "We're ready to tour the new hanger,"
"And there's some things we must discuss," Kubric says.
"I'm all yours," You say, joining them in leaving the room. The doors and view shut behind you.
The three of you walk down a stylish hall to an elevator, which whisks the three of you down the spire at a brisk pace.
"So," You say, watching space move outside the elevator window. "What did you want to discuss,"
"It's our intelligence officers," Vice Admiral Kubric says, sniffing. "They've been hard at work cracking the system we've found ourselves in, and have been making slow but steady progress,"
"And? What of this Hegemony? What year is it and what happened to the Principality?"
"Hm, nothing like that I'm afraid," The Vice Admiral says. "All we know is that the Hegemony controls trade, which seems to be all anyone cares about,"
"Mars? The colonies?"
"All corporate owned, as far as I can tell,"
You digest this information. "Absurd," You finally say, shaking your head. "A corporation cannot possibly own so much. What of nations and kingdoms?"
"Actually," Vice Admiral Kubric says. "That's not even the crux of the matter. We've received intel from merchants who arrived recently. Apparently Halan Heavy Industries has placed an embargo on Europa and this station, with the blessing of some powerful corporation on Mars. "
"Embargo?" You say, incredulous. "What manner of foolishness is this? Are they not going to attack us? Take back this station and Europa?"
"Apparently not. Some of the merchants think Halan heavy industries is appealing to its allies on Mars to intervene."
"Then we need to make an effort to either establish ourselves militarily, or diplomatically,"
"Here's what we've found," Vice Admiral Kubric says, passing you a data pad. You take it, viewing a map.
"As you can see," Kubric says. "We're right next door, relatively speaking, to the Halan Heavy Industries headquarters,"
"I see," You say, viewing it. "We were indeed neighbors,"
"For whatever reason they've decided not to take back this station as they did Europa,"
"They likely can't sustain the losses," Captain Lennstett says. "I get the feeling this is a wealthy time full of soft people,"
"And here," Vice Admiral Kubric says, pressing a button. "Is long range scanner information we were able to obtain from the merchant vessels of the Halan base,"
You shake your head. It's not a base, it's a city. And the defenses look impressive. You hand the data pad back to the Vice Admiral. The elevator slows, and the doors hiss open.
"We could probably defeat them if they're more concerned with money then battle," You say, Vice Admiral and Captain following you down a hall. "We would sustain losses of course, but that is war,"
"Europa is just now constructing a Zaku factory," Captain Lennstett says. "That combined with our infantry would be more than enough to take the city,"
"It would be a slow military operation," Kubric muses, rubbing his mustache. "What with our small forces,"
"Perhaps we will strike now, perhaps later," You say, entering a hanger. "I will decide in time,"
Standing in the hangar are a few men in Zeon pilot uniforms, as well as a few miners. The pilots are a handful of miners you selected to train. The miners are the former pirates.
You first stop in front of the pirates.
"How are you adjusting to life under the Principality?" You say, looking the pirate up and down.
"Ain't much," The pirate says, spitting to the side. Captain Lennstett rolls up a sleeve to begin beating the miner, but you hold up a hand.
"It'll grow on you," You say, a small smile tugging on the corner of your mouth. You move on to the pilots. Two men and the boy, Kal.
"Men," You say, nodding to them. The two men do the Zeon salute they were taught. Kal does not. Captain Lennstett knocks him back before you have time to stop him. Kal gets back on his feet, wiping at his mouth. You shrug. "Sorry, didn't have time to stop him. But you should know the Principality takes respect and honor seriously,"
"I don't respect you," Kal says.
"Nor should you, until I've given you a reason," You say. "But that's not why you're here,"
The sound of engines shakes the hanger. The two repaired Raider MS's blast inside, setting down in front of the pilots. Kal stare up at the Mobile Suit towering over him.
"Not bad hm?" You say, peering up at it yourself. You look back down at Kal, who finally tears his eyes away from it. "I trust you will bring us honor and victory,"
"Wait," Kal says, looking back up. "This ones mine?"
"For now," You say, walking away. "Captain Lennstett here will show you the basics,"
"Sir yes sir," Kal says, quiet and bewildered.

Thanks for the update so soon, still at work for another hour or so, so I won't be able to put the plan into place...
(edited: I'm leery of black markets for a good reason, it invites allot of things that a good government should actively discourage, unless its more of a smuggler operation we can keep our eye on)
But the black market...can we monitor that and pretty much declare to the dealers that as long as it doesn't harm the people or do very illegal stuff...you know what I'm talking about...
Also do all our MS for now on get the upgrades that we have researched?
Also for special project, I would like the boosters from that civilian model, our special MS owned by Ignis should have had them but in guessing we had to run before they could be completed.
Plan goes here later on: Plan money for Command Zaku! (18+15=33 for the next turn)
[X] Trade Exchange Hub (20 IR)-Peak
Bank the 13 IR for the next turn for Netsphere Trade Spire at Europa
Plan for future: Moses Ark (edited: this is mostly just a idea I had)
-[x] purchase up to 5 commando squads (I'm thinking this is right) to steadily infiltrate the headquarters of Halan Heavy industries in a slow but steady manner. They are to gain intelligence via low-key means and prepare for a potential Zeon Invasion. for teams 1 and 2 they are to either set up Bars or Dinners in the city to listen for any intel that people may carelessly throw about, such as who the higher ups are, what's the numbers of their military, ect. ect., team 3 is to begin a subtle infiltration of Hadan's systems for any intelligence they can mine from them and safely send to Zeon. Team 4 is our assassination squad to prepare to take out the heads of this industry and potentially turn the stations security systems offline if possible to allow Zeon a uncontested landing of the station (turning off the defensive guns and such). Team 5 is to spread Zeon sympathy and culture, to turn the populace against Hadan Industries in a slow and careful manner. Their orders are to not get caught and if they are being trailed implicate one of their rivals. (the teams are also to begin a slow but steady small sabotage campaign on Hadan industries to essentially create a web of damage that turns the defenses against them or keeps them offline when the invasion starts)
this operation would cost about 75 gc in order to fully implement in getting said commando's trained and ready for this deployment.
the next order of business is to create 4 Zaku Commander units, these are to lead squads of 4 pilots (with one being the commander with 3 subordinates) this number will increase with time when we have the resources, but this will allow us to create 4 squads and allow the three extra zaku II's to come under the command of a capable Zeon Pilot to watch over the new team, or we could spread the new-blood out among the other Newly instated Zaku Teams.
in time when we have enough resources again we make 3 more regular zaku's and ship them to Peak for a Big gun Team (the MAS-1 along with three Big Gun Zaku II's)
370 gc and 125 IR to implement
these numbers should allow us to project a semblance of strength to Hadan industries, thus allowing us to keep other corporations off our backs unless they wish to waste more resources then they want to on some outback frontier worlds.
(edited: idea over, please ignore above up to the plans name, I'm mostly speculating on ideas that could work out pretty good for our forces)
The special project I'm hoping for is to research past tech that we had available but could not truly implement until now. but all well, here's to hoping this plan one day works!
Rolls: holy that roll on the special project!!! Also pretty average roll for us on operation intel.
