Well folks, looks like this quest has lost its steam, which is fine. I don't really know what happens to threads here after periods of inactivity but maybe I'll come back to this if there's ever a resurgence in mobile suit interest. I appreciate everyone who participated, you guys definitely made it worth it and I definitely had a lot of fun. I got a twitter if you ever want to see what quests I'm running or if I'll return to this one, (lopofthewoods)

sorry to hear that the quest won't be continuing but I certainly had fun while it lasted, thanks for the good times. :D
 
hmmm may I have a suggestion? why not try to post this one SpaceBattle?

you can connect your account here on SV with them, and if you want to talk some more about the quest I'm willing to do so.

also I was confused for awhile with your usage of the IR during the game, if I had known we could have gotten the IR that would have been produced by the mines, allot of things could have been built sooner lol! all well, you learn with each game.

thanks for posting this, shame people didn't show up...but I again stress you try posting this on Space Battle. people tend to be more involved in that part, and while it doesn't have a on-site rolling action, you can connect with talk with people who know a few dice rolling sites that you can post the address for when you want a couple of rolls.

I'll definitely look into Space Battles. Never heard of it, but if there's interest in this type o' quest I'll check it out
 
I've given SB a lookover and I think I'm going to try LotL there tomorrow. It's all dependant on whether I can figure out a work around for dice. I'll link it here if I do

alright, but I would suggest giving a thread to each of the things, one for introduction, one for our faction (numbers of people, planets, armies, and space navy), one for known enemies and their forces (that we know of their specs, we could have to research them in order to figure out their systems which would be interesting), one for the general map that can be updated when we gain or lose territory, as well as a thread for what we have built (aka current resource and buildings on whichever planet/section of the sol system we have, such as peak having the culture center and security system and Europa having just the culture center for example)

as for dice rolling...hmmmm ill look myself tomorrow...
 
Whelp I spent several hours trying to hash out a dice-less system, in addition to trying to rework some basic economy features, and It's just not looking like I want it to. So I'm going to go ahead and hiatus this quest until the day SV seems ready for a MS quest. In the meantime I'll be running a sci-fi/fantasy multi-civ if anyone has any interest. It'll be up in an hour or so. Otherwise keep tabs on my twitter for the announcement of this Quest's return in the future.
