Can we maybe not call people 'fucking pussies' for having different ideas about what the best strategy to adopt is?
He's not being the most diplomatic about it, but the point he's making needs to be reiterated: people need to show a greater risk-taking capacity than they have hereto demonstrated in this quest. A good chunk of the successes we have now is because a subset of people pushed and pushed and pushed for bold action in the face of a storm of protest, and carried on doing so even when the resulting victory was picked apart and critiqued to death.
The people who "have different ideas about what the best strategy to adopt is" have a right to civility, and we will provide it, but they in turn need to recognize that we would not have the absolutely ridiculously good hand we have right now if their "best strategy" had won out.
Either way, @Gunman has convinced me-- against my natural inclinations-- that while buying a capital ship for 55 PC is wasteful, it is worth it because cracking the Chaung Ma defenses means earning hundreds of wealth, at which point we can buy it or another battlecruiser outright. (I will, however, have conniptions if this eventually leads to us not taking up a strategy/tactics boosting assignment as a Naval Academy Commandant or a stint as a staff officer at fleet theatre command)>
Therefore, I ask that all "Harass" voters consider the order of magnitude difference that commanding the Sword of Democracy will make when we assault the Chaung Ma defenses, turning a grueling battle into something I think we can all agree is much more doable, yes?
