Writing Something Every Day*, Xantalos Edition

Whoops, dropped off for a few days there. Got busy with celebratory preparations for a thing. Anyway, back to it! 194 words today. Probably won't end up doing much if any tomorrow, so I expect next major progress bit on thursday.

Aaand again. 231 words to RYE today.
noice...though you know the way you've made this has got me wondering what a Necron quest would be like. Just the lord awake do to a malfunction and he has to wait for his tomb to awaken alongside some complications to that. But it's also pre-slannesh so things are kinda wide open. He could experiance what the galaxy is like. Go to his dynasty's coreworlds to check on their tombs to make sure everything is going well maybe even coordinate their awakening so all his core tombs awaken at once. Just so many ideas.

Write it! Not enough people do Necron quests and the only person who's gonna manifest your unique ideas and take on the subject is you. If it goes poorly you can just redo it later and call it [Necronquest] v2.

There is one, though as is often the case it last updated years ago.

Not so sleepy skeletons (A 40k Necron Dynasty quest)

Awakened on a dead world hostile enough no other race would or could bother with little word from your kin, damage to your tombs, and a star system that is nothing like the one you entered the deep sleep in, you are regent of a tomb world and it is your task to savage this and any other problem...

It would also be interesting to see how he and his Crypteks consider the Warp. On the one hand, it was the tool of their ancient enemies and their studies of it have exclusively been in the direction of neutralization. On the other, Necrons really want their souls back, insofar as soulless beings are capable of want. Another interesting thing to explore would be interactions with High Age of Technology humans. They mastered the Materium to a degree second only to the Necrons (who had help from the C'Tan) but also had some less adversarial foreys into warp tech.

464 words for RYE and an assortment of variously-sized snippets for writing jobs and personal projects over the last few days. Working on stuff and things!

I admit, I've been … I'm not sure. Thrown off the wagon a little? It's been difficult to write and I keep criticizing myself about all the stuff I'm not doing. Too much in my own head.

Belated edit: know what, fuck that noise, I can do better than this self-pity and hesitancy shenanigan. I'm gonna go listen to the Gurren Lagann theme on loop while I sleep and crank out something tomorrow.

Row Row Fight the Power

Said resolution turned into 1,269 words on a Circle of Vengeance update. It took hours on end to do and felt like pulling teeth at times, and it still isn't done - I'll have to go back and finish tomorrow. But it's something.

200 more words today, put down for Circle of Vengeance. Altogether that totals roughly ... 640ish words today, I think?

No idea how torroar does what he does.

545 words for Circle of Vengeance today so far, as well as some other stuff that involves writing but isn't connected to any specific project. Applications and such.
