Wormverse ideas, recs, and fic discussion thread 1

People write whatever their muse dictates, trying to force it is an exercise in frustration.
Keyblade Taylor requires the author know, or at least care about Kingdom Hearts.

As for Castlevania... Well It's Dracula. And Castlevania Dracula basicaly just makes a big castle out of nothing and then fucks with the Belmonts.

I mean, you could have Colin Belmont instead of Wallis...

Well, if this is about stuffing ideas down everybody's throats hoping to see if one catches the interest of a competent author, I could bring up some of my many (and this is bias talking) admittedly brilliant ideas and story prompts. :V

Watchu want?
Halo Tinker idea?
GTAV Family Friends Idea?
Okami Celestial Envoy Idea?
Metal Gear Tinker/AU World/ Character transplant idea?

I got a few others I think, but these were the ones I remembered immediately. Which means I really want these compared to the other ideas, I guess.

Oh come fricken' on! I fail to see how these two ideas could be unattractive. If Carmen San-D-fricken-iego!Taylor can get a worm crossover ficlet like that when why can't ClassicCastlevaniaVerseDracula!Taylor or KeybladeWielder!Taylor?
oh and before you go "why don't you write it youself?" I must inform you that I'm quite frankly shit at writing fanfiction.
I haven't caught up yet. Shouldn't a Carmen Sandiego crossover involve Contessa?

Also, while on the subject of vampires: Instead of Contessa, Cauldron's bogeyman is a sinister Trump known as Alucard, who consumes the blood of parahumans to gain a subset of their powers, and can intermittently bud his own shard into hosts of his choosing.

I am actually hoping that in the Carmen Sandiego cross, Annette is still alive somehow. Someone mentioned her stealing the concept of death from herself or something. That would totally work. Or something. Just let Mama Hebert live.

Dracula would interest me if I knew more about Castlevania, but Keyblade Wielder Taylor just sounds boring to me. The power is good but it just sets her up to be a hero in yet another wards fic. I prefer Divine Demon's idea wherein KHverse leaks into Earth Bet and she ends up becoming a Heartless and Nobody pair.

That's what the Sorrow duology is for. Dracula was killed off for real in 1999 and his castle sealed into a solar eclipse. His spirit escaped, though, and reincarnated into a mortal. In this fic, that mortal is Taylor. (Have to bend the rules a bit to incarnate into someone who's already born, but whatever.)

Taylor's life goes as normal, though every parahuman she meets is unnerved by her and can't explain why. Animals don't generally like her either. That all changes o- wait, shit. The next scheduled total eclipse in New England isn't until 2024 at the earliest. Never mind.

Unless of course you give her a different Keyblade, remember that there are three kinds: Light, Heart, and Dark.

Now you have a Keyblade wielding, Heartless controlling Taylor who could play any role you want, Ward, Undersider, Independent, hell if you want you could make her the antagonist.

So, an idea inspired by some discussion in one of the quest threads:

An alt trigger Glaistig. Instead of collecting dead capes and bringing them forth as shades, she resurrects them wholesale. They're still dependent on her to be in the real world though- she can only support so many at a time, and the rest of the time they're stuck in a pocket dimension. There's also probably some geas to keep them from harming her. While they're in the pocket dimension, they can walk around, talk with one another, even fight, but they can't die.

Basically, Ciara ends up being Valkyrie from the get go. She's still kind of crazy (or at least seems that way) and is going around collecting capes that have "died honorably in combat", but since she isn't actively killing capes, the PRT is ok with that. She can support three of her claimed indefinitely, but if she spends time without any of them in the real world for a while, she can build up a "charge" to allow her to surge more.

Not sure if she would be participating in Endbringer fights, or if she's saving everything for "Ragnarok".

Plotwise, obvious solution is to have Taylor die and get collected, but having her grab Aegis and Gallant might be equally interesting.

Wasn't there already a fic based on this premise somewhere down the line? I remember Taylor waking up in a room that she could control with a female cape sitting there explaining how things worked in the 'hotel' that Glaistig's power created for them when they were unsummoned.

An idea that got stuck in my head (possibly someone else's idea originally): what if Taylor died at the end of Speck and got collected by GU?

Then, GU brings forth Taylor-as-Khepri's ghost... and the ghost's Master effect applies to GU, because jailbreak or royal QA primacy or whatever.

Taylor is back, as GU and Khepri at the same time (but she can only summon 2 of GU's other ghosts for obvious reasons).

Since she has no damaged brain-meat to get in the way of her expression, she can totally do language stuff again.

Taylor: "Oh hey, and Doormaker is in here too! What a nice surprise!"

Every Earth, All At Once: "Oh no."

Are you denying that ninty percent of people would write it that way?

I'm denying the fact that your pulling statistics out of nowhere in coming with your conclusions. Honestly a keyblade wielder Taylor does not work out with her joining the wards.

She would have an obligation to travel around other worlds and fight heartless, especially heartless that appear in earth bet.

Because if a heartless steals Scion's heart, it's game over man. That would create a fucking monster.

So Keyblade Taylor would not be able to stay in one place at a time and must constantly check for Heartless in the world.

It would also be quite the mindfuck when she realise the Heartless are only appearing in the first place because they are attracted to her.

So no, an author probably wont go to the Wards with Taylor.

Also, you all are missing the main point.

Scion's big puppy heart shattered when his abomination waifu crashed and broke on a planet and got stabbed repeatedly in the neck.

Worst case this affects all shards too, meaning in addition to billions of heartless, parahumans lose their power, or even get darkness fed directly into their minds... Good luck with that.

So, the worst that Scion could become is a swarm of Shadows and other low end Heartless? .... Actually, that is pretty bad from the sheer number there would be.

Shadows are no joke in a world without Keyblade Wielders. The Heartless are ultimately like a mix of magic zombies and any monster that has a very specific weakness and gives few shits about anything else.
