Techwise, the UASR is largely identical to the USA of the our world today down to having largely analogous equipment; I'll get on a full thing shortly.
Yup, TLAB is kind of an old memory but I did watch the Korra series so yeah.
Do you plan to use Kuvira's forces?
If it uses RL tech then you can kinda get away with the short profile.
Just list things that aren't obvious from these assumptions.
Well, crap. I'm a freaking fairytale kingdom lead by several monarchies, with architecture that would make Ludwig XIV jealous. I'll be tagged as the worst kind of bourgeoisie and get an arch enemy intend on enlightening my people to the glories of the proletariat.
Moving into dragon country is sounding more and more appealing.
You and me, sister monarchs, you and me.... Zhilean is full of crazies with totalitarian ideologies and doomsday devices now...
Hey, @willyvereb , any other nice elven place? I do NOT wamt to get "LIBERATED" right at the start...

Faction Introduction
Union of American Socialist Republics' Expeditionary force.
The proving of the multiverse theory came with it many implications for the Union of American Socialist Republics. Namely that the cold war could now have a backdoor. The empires of western europe were long struggling to compete against the combined efforts of the USSR, the UASR, and the Socialist Republic of China and their friendly states. But with the ability to access new worlds to let their markets expand into, the capitalists of western Europe could drag out this long cold war and delay the final freedom of the world by centuries if not more. Thus, the UASR would need to pre-empt the capitalists of the Franco-British Union and their puppets across the world and in fortress Europa and make it's own expansions.
It would need to take the red banner and hoist it high in other worlds, and for that; a special task force was drawn up that would consist of both civilians and military men who would find a new planet with which to spread the American and the International ideal. And so American ingenuity was put into building a link between realities to launch an expedition between realities.
Faction Features
- Come brothers and sisters!: The Union of American Socialist Republics' governmental system and degrees of freedom seem almost idyllic compared to other rival governments; encouraging Immigration into its borders; also including brain drain as people move to seek a better life.
- Solidarity!: The UASR is very good at assimilating people into its system, recognizing that its greatest strength is its ability to absorb the strengths of others into itself. People assimilate more readily into the UASR than they do in other societies.
- The international ideal: The International ideal has a great deal of appeal in other states, appealing to the oppressed and the downtrodden, the UASR is exceedingly good at inducing revolutions in other countries with any sort of social strife.
- For the Revolution: In addittion, when at war, the UASR's soldiers are very reluctant to surrender if the cause is at stake. Similarly, the UASR's citizenry are so enamored of Communism that overthrowing their socialist government is a nigh impossibility at this point.
- Ecologists to the end: The UASR is a state that loves nature, adoring the preservation of the biosphere. This means that they are very reluctant to enact policies that could harm the environment, even at harm to themselves.
- No war but class war: The UASR's populace is generally speaking, a populace that prefers violence only as a final resort and even then only for causes deemed worthy. The UASR is unlikely to wage wars of outright conquest or engage in unilateral annexation due to it's issues with Imperialism.
- Materialism: Due to the cultural scorning of the supernatural as a motif in fiction generally speaking the UASR is more sluggish to understand the mystical than it is the scientific.
- Dirty Cappies: Due to being products of a 70 year long cold war, the UASR is rather virulently opposed to Capitalism and generally makes capitalist nations feel a bit unsafe. General relationship penalties with countries in the capitalist stage of development that are right-wing.

I do plan on playing as the Earth Empire, yes. It's one from an Alternate Universe however, with two PODs. The first is that Hiroshi Sato dies during the climax of the Anti-Bending Revolution and the second is that Kuvira doesn't send Bataar Jr to do diplomatic talks with Raiko and instead sends someone else. Due to PODs, Korra and co are unable to find a way to pierce through Kuvira's mech and are unable to hold Bataar for ransom. Because of this, Kuvira annexes the United Republic of Nations with little bloodshed and, though Korra and co form a resistance movement that lasts for quite some time, they are eventually captured and sent to reeducation camps (minus Korra, who is placed in a heavily guarded cell made out of Platinum). How they got here is that the Spirit Portal in Republic City is eventually discovered but it leads to this planet instead of the Spirit World.
Well the Hoffman Expedition was an idea I had a while ago, and I've been hoping to use them in something. I've even got a kind of pseudo-charater arc for the whole expedition if I can fit it in there. You don't have to worry about nukes, as no one is working on them or has even thought of them at this point, and it will be nearly 40 in game years before even the homeworld gets them, assuming the PoD hasn't fucked all that up.
Also I really, really wanted giant, lightning shooting airships.
PS. All these people with actual Aircraft. My War-Airships weep with fear.

How do you treat racial minorities, sexual freedom, gender equality, non-standard sexualities and gender identities, the environment, democratic ideals, and the rights of workers?
Gonna need to see how much nudging may be needed to get a fellow industrial society on our line of development.

Well. It's Europe at the dawn of the 20th century.
Admittedly things are a bit more progressive due to a massively increased understanding of DNA so the whole "Master Race" or "Inferior Species" thing has been entirely disproven. That hasn't stopped the racism, but it means that people can't fall back on "science" to support their beliefs.
Other than that this are pretty much the same as OTL except for in a few areas. America for example, had a worse and far more drawn out Civil War than in OTL, and as such has embraced de-segregation early. Partly out of necessity and partially to stick it to what's left of the south. They've also annexed parts of Northern Mexico.

Well, it's optional. I can make do without it.
I just give you a chance to have the intro a bit more in your own flavor.
And yes, I plan to start sometime this weekend.
If you use a zoomed in pic then I also suggest using a bit of description to know where to search. This is partially why all continents and seas have their names.
Clan based pseudo feudals with near total sexual equality, relatively liberal laws , generally magic supplemented renaissance economy and slight caste of caste snobbery here.. but a stromg meritocratic and noblesse oblige streak and valiantly struggling to practice non-racism amongst elves and any other people of good will.
Highly spiritual.See why I m literally an OOC problem for your worldview?

If I might ask, what would the isles of Thelin (I think that's what it's called) be as a starting location? I'm still shopping around for one and if you had any details that would be useful.

It's supposed to be populated by savage cannibal tribes. 3 different groups and countless tribes who are at constant war with each other.
As for the other archipeago next to it which you can't see on the map? Dead world. Dragons burned all 3 islands to the ground. Some of the cannibals populate one of these islands while another is filled with zombies but that's about it.
Of course with multiversal drifters coming to Worluk for years now who knows what factions are living there now?

In retrospect roughly half of Worluk is so fucked up detailing what went on would be rated R.
Well, they litrally went through no less than 40 worldwide cataclysmic events so yeah... nothing surprising about that.
If anything your arrival along with hundreds of other factions' heralds the next cataclysm to this planet.
Let's see how that turns out.
Faction Intro
Goblins are accursed creatures, originally elves who have grown haughty of their mastery and challenged the gods themselves for the heavenly throne. Cast down and defeated, they were stripped of their magic and cursed into the goblins we see today. For millenia they were hunted and slaughtered other races, driven into the most blighted and inhospitable land. It was the fate of the goblins until one day, a new warlord emerged. He called himself the Golden Lord, and armed his goblins with muskets and steamwagons. When the other races realized the danger he posed, it was already too late as the Golden Lord has unified all warring goblins tribes under his banner and retreated deep underground, forming the Golden Empire and declared war on all races for their crime against goblins in the past.
The war raged on for 500 years, with theempire being destroyed and reformed multiple times finally ended with the complete extermination of all non-goblins sentient beings. After their victory, goblins quickly colonized their world, spearding to every nooks and cranies and soon found themselves hungering for more. The current Emperor ordered the construction of hundreds of World Gates and send a colony fleet through all of them. One of these gates lead to Worluk.
Goblins are short, lithe, green-skinned creatures, resembling a human child with huge bat-like ears, little lowing red eyes and a mouth full of razor-sharp teeth. They are natural diggers, evolved to a life within deep, dark cavern and thus have eyesight adapted to darkness. Goblins have short lifespan, (only around 30 at the in the average), extremely high reproductive rate (Goblin females mature at the age of ten, from then on they can carry litter to the end of their short lives, with each pregnancy last around 6 months and can produce from 15 to 25 newborns.), and extremely high resistance to poison, diseases and enviromental hazard, capable of thriving in the most desolate of wasteland.
From our cultural perspective, goblins' society can easily be described as "evil". They do not place any value on lives in general, as why should they care if several millions die if they can replenish that numbers in several years? As such, murder in goblins society is only considered a minor crime. No concept of family exists, as all goblins born either are sent to government owned development centers if they are lucky or left on the street if not. Goblins' culture revolve around a twisted meritocracy system with a heavy dose of Darwinism, on the good side, it encourage all goblins to be strong, bold, independent and creative, but on the other hand, it also enforce the belief that abuse and oppression is common, inevitable, even encouraged things, and everyone who doesn't strive hard enough to earn the role of the oppressor deserved to be oppressed. They are also particularly infamous for their obsession of material wealth, so much that they believe only the most wealthy goblin is fit to act as their supreme emperor. Thus, when an emperor die, the throne is put on auction for the whole empire to bid. Typically, only a councilor has the wealth necessary to purchase the throne
Goblins live in massive cities of ugly skyscrapers built inside underground cavern, reaching all the way pass the surface, almost resembling some kind of concrete beehive. The cities are divided into many segment, with the upper part reserved for wealthier citizens. The Empire is functionally a constitutional monarchy, with the emperor acting as the head of state and have the largest vote, and a Council of Governance, comprised of 12 Clan Masters. Goblins' Clans are functionally corporations that also act as the empire's arms, completely handle all domestic matters, up and including law enforcements.
Technology Overview
The Golden Empire's tech level lies somewhere in the early 19th century but with the addition of magic being applied to energy production and industry. The empire relies heavily on coal and steam, with diesel being a new technology on the rise. Infused diesel vastly overshadowed infused coal in energy potential, but its current cost make it impractical for civilian application
Mana Treating: Studies has shown that treating coals and fossil fuels with magical energies, especially fire or entropic energy, exponentially increase the energy potential of the fuel, allowing for the empire to power its massive war engines.
Golems: By binding animals' souls to physical, inanimated vessels, the goblins can create golems, this is esstentially the advance robotic of the Golden Empire. Golems are used both in industry as well in military.
Node Draining: When simply treating coal with magic is not enough, the Goblins builds Harvesters over natural node of magical energy, draining it to fuel their machines. Prolonged useage of weaken the magical frabric of the surrounding region, rendering advance magic almost impossible.
Military Overview
The backbone of the Empire's military. Even the vast economy of the Empire cannot support all of its citizens, especially with the recent rise of the golem automated factories. When left with nowhere else to go, goblins turned to the army and joined as soldiers. These soldiers received only 1 years worth of training before given their rifles and helmets and sent off to war. What they lack for in quality, they make up for sheer quantity
Numbers: 50 000
Realizing their natural physical fraility, the Goblins constructed battlesuits to put them on equal footing with even the mightiest orges. These battlesuits can be found tagging along with the standard soldiers, providing heavy fire support.
Numbers: 10 000
Steam powered tanks bristling with machineguns. They are usually used for scouting and harassing, while their cousins, the Hellhounds, sacrifice some speed and maneuverability for a souped up engine and extra plating to act as vanguards for frontal charges.
Numbers: 1000 Wolfhounds, 700 Hellhounds
These metal giants, while resembling golems, are not quite so. They are massive combat suits piloted by veteran soldiers that have proven their worth on the battlefield. Armed with 2 flamethrowers, 4 high caliber maxim guns, and a giant chain axe, covered in heavy plating and have the ability to travel as fast as heavy cavalry, these Goliaths are the ones expected to deal actual damage to the enemies while the soldiers provide distraction
Numbers: 1500
These huge, slow, heavily armed and armored battlesuits are piloted by commissars whose duty is to ensure the soldiers stay in line and follow every order given, their presences bolster the morale and turned the normal goblins horde into an effective fighting force. Armed with a chain sword in one arm and a gigantic cannon in the other, commissars are a force to be reckoned with. In combat the exposed cockpit is covered by a metal dome.
Numbers: 500
When the Empire's invasion on the Elven homeland dragged on for several years without anything to show for it, the current Emperor decided that the only to drive out the elves was to go big. The results was the Elves Grinder, gigantic monstrosities mount two 10-inch naval guns for use as both indirect artilleries and direct cannons. On their frontplate are two smallers 20mm explosive autocannons with flamethrower attachements.
Numbers: 10
As its name suggested, the GPA is a jack of all trade that perform well in all role. Its twin miniguns make it effective at mowing down infantry, high power mortar allows it to act as weak, mobile, short-ranged artillery. By angling its mortar forward and using its rockbreaker, the GPA also perfom adequately at anti-armor role. however, being ok at everything mean it excels at none.
Numbers: 500
With the role of artilleries mainly taken up be airships, Elves Grinders, or GPA, the Empire has never seen the value in a dedicated artillery piece until their war against the Dwarves, who were so heavily entrenched in their mountainhomes that they were imprevious to the Empire's warmachine. Once again, it was decided that overkill is the answer, and the only logical solution for this is to build guns so big it can level mountains, the Revelations. What that lack in speed and practicality they make up in sheer force as one Revelation can level a city in a matter of days.
Number: 0
The compulsory dirt cheap unit of the Imperial Air Force, these are the soldiers of the sky, acting as distraction for the enemy while grinding them down with sheer numbers alone.
Numbers: 100
The workhorse of the Empire's airfoce. The Typhoon is, at its heart, a flying steel brick loaded with as much guns as possible. While the broadside design make its suboptimal at fighting fast aerial targets, it is terrifying against large/stationary ground targets, thus it has been used mostly as artilleries support for the main army.
Numbers: 50
With the failure of the Typhoon as an air combat vessel, the Empire decided to construct a new line of airship dedicated for this matter, which, in Goblins term, mean bigger, with more guns in different posistions. The Eclispe is an flying behemoth with guns roughly the size of small cruisers and and point defense as long as chimmeys. While not as good as ground bombardment and costing an arm and a leg, a single Eclispe is a terrifying sight.
Number: 1
The Goblins' first endevour into naval combat. While the Ironclad is not the most effective of naval warships, their saw deal enourmous damage in close range and it cost so little the Empire lose thousands of them without any stress.
Numbers: 150
After the lackluster Ironclad design, the Empire realized that the same philosophy for ground and air can be applied to Naval vessel as well. Thus came the Leviathan, which is basically just lots of guns, armors, and engine power thrown on a metal base until the engineers ran out of budget, and they recieved a lot of budget. Leviathans are slow and deliberate, more of a moving armoured island brisling with guns than an actual warship
Numbers: 2
The Empire's millitary doctrine focus heavily on pure overwhelming alpha-strikes, delivering as much brute force in as little time as possible. It is a chaotic affair of soldiers charging, commissars shouting, artillery poundings with shells ranging from conventional explosive to chemical weapon, backed by the roaring sound of GPAs, hellhounds and goliath. It is chaoitc, confusing and messy.
Anyways, unles ou changed our mind can you tell me about this Primeval verse?
Granted, since it's obscure it'd most likely would require you to use the long profile form.
