Um, your numbers are awfully off.
First, platoons are usually 12-16 people and at rare times 30. Where did you get 48?
Second, I don't remember Japanese fantasy RPGs ever had a damage stat in Wot or man-portable anti-tank grenades in general.
Third, loses will depend on many things. We're only at the beginning. You at least lost a few dozen soldiers while delivered two hits. Neither of the tanks died and this is why Matsuyama is at the verge of freaking out.
Fourth, while I refer WoT gameplay elements that's mostly for fun and flavor. Though the tanks do have some "super sensor" which can spot you if you aren't obscured from hundreds of meters while can absolutely spot anyone in 15m radius. Hit points won't exist for the tanks and instead ou must either throughly blow them up or at least disable the tank sufficiently that they are no longer a threat. Be wary of their repair packs, though.
Think of them as zombie tanks that move by whatever magic animate them. They're sentient vehicles coming from the World of Tanks.
I'm working with WW2-era organization, where masses of men are a common thing. One regular platoon is usually composed of four squads of twelve men each; one company is composed of three rifle platoons and one weapons platoon and numbers between 200 - 250 men each. A battalion with a full complement numbers 1,000+ men. Three battalions make a regiment of 3,000+ men; but since I'm working with HoI3 organization, the 29th Infantry Reg. is actually small compared to its real-life counterpart.
About the damage: I remember from my experience with the game that 75mm AP shells in WoT do at least 100+ damage, so I assume that the Type 4 70mm (whose caliber is actually 74/75mm) would do similar damage. I was thinking that hit points and hard numbers were being taken into account - thank you for clearing that up.
I'll get to making my post soon, boss.
