You let out a silent yawn as you stretch yourself at an extended length. The bright afternoon sunlight shines on your body, giving you a nice warm feeling of pleasure as you sit at your desk near the classroom window. As Mrs. Davis drones on and on about the ramifications and importance of the learning American history, you find your mind drifting off.
It's not like you to not pay attention in class, however being a new student at in a large human school for the first time has taken its toll on you. As you mindlessly flip through the syllabus the teacher had given you at the start of class, you think of your past.
What is your past?
[ ]Lost Exile - You were a young child when you learned your parents were exiled from the planet Majesdane, along with extended family who have changed their Majesdanian names and currently go by the last name alias "Dean." Your parents have taught you their history and your families place in the glorious Majesdanian empire. You have learned much about your race however you are still content to live amongst ordinary humans.
[ ]Military Brat - You have traveled from the planet Majesdane with your parents, who were given the task to scout other planets for resources and conquest. Your family along with many others that have integrated into Earth's human societies are part of the part of a special Majesdanian black ops force, unofficially known by other civilizations as the "Light Brigade." You are a young mage who has trained from a young age to be an Elite mage of the Majesdane Magi Order, working in tandem with the black ops force to bring glory to Majesdane.
[ ]Neophyte Scholar - You are a young student, studying and learning on Earth as you were sent there by your parents to stay with a relative, as you try to find yourself approved of the Majesdane council. Nothing will keep you from your goal and you find yourself relentless in trying to become a part of the Majesdane council on the motherworld. A part of the people that decide everything about the planet Majesdane. A group of men and woman that hold the Entire Majesdane empire in their hands. You desire to be a part of that.
As you find yourself back in reality, you look around the classroom. It's a full house—maybe too big in fact filled with about twenty-three students, most of which you find are not paying attention. Girls are whispering loudly, blatantly sharing messages with notebook paper while the teacher is talking. A lot of students are busy texting on their phones trying to hide the fact by doing so under the desk. Some don't even try to hide it having their phones out in the open.
You notice the stuck up Hispanic girl with blonde hair—Liz Allen, you recall, as she whispers her weekend plans to her friends. You could already tell she was one of the more popular girls in your grade. Seemingly being the life of the class disturbance, everything revolved around her. You could tell from how the girls anxiously waited for her judgment of their little scribbles. How the guys sitting around her and her group of friends would touch them playfully in an attempt to get their attention, most of them leering at Liz when they thought she wasn't looking.
Liz Allen happened to be the boyfriend of the Flash Thompson, the school's up and coming football star—something you've learned rather quickly in the short time you've been here. He was considered to be the most popular—
and attractive—underclassman in the school, but to you, he wasn't much to look at. It wasn't that he didn't have good looks or even that he was ugly. It's just... as you view him and two other friends harass the short boy with glasses trying to read in the middle of the class, you have the nasty feeling of a knot being tied in your gut.
Class soon finishes and feeling that end of the day could not come fast enough you pack your things and grab your backpack. After heading to your locker you make sure you have what is necessary to complete tonight's homework. You've met a couple people today, particularly during homeroom and lunch, but not anyone you'd really consider a friend.
Since your house is close by you don't need to take the bus. You can get there quickly on foot. You find yourself lingering in the crowded hallway of students, wondering about your next move.
What do you do?
[ ]Explore the School - What's the fun in going home so quickly? It's the first day and you assume it's better to look around and explore than lock yourself up in your room. Who knows maybe you'll make some friends? Home is only a few blocks way.
[ ]Go Home - Why not go home and get started on your studies? It wouldn't do to fall behind, in both Earthworld and Majesdanian homework. You're in the process of learning magic to be an Elite Majesdanian mage after all. Maybe you can talk about some of your school experience with family in the process.
