Whitewashed (Experimental Quest)

Oh, my bad. I was confused due to how you claimed that "he" trapped us here.

The voices in my head have voices in their heads have Enjou in their heads.
My mind is full of troll.

HERESY!

You will pray to the God-Emperor of Mankind or you will burn in eternal damnation, your soul consumed by dark gods!
Repent! Repent!

BTW, you also misspelled Khorn.
'Tis you who has misspelled khorne.

I force my aching hands to cast the spell. While a communication spell becomes easier each time the caster connects to the same parties, it still takes almost all of the meager reserves I had built up in the last few hours since he left. Still, I'm comforted by the faint glow that indicates a connection has been established.

"Hello. Are you still there?" I ask, my voice still raw from when he had been here, asking his mocking questions for that small eternity.

Despite the weakness from his visit, I feel a lot better than I had before. Is it because I have something that he doesn't know about? He made no mention of me using my magic, and given how much effort he put into taking everything from me and endlessly mocking me over it...

No. No, I'm not going to think about that. I'm in a better mood. It'll be awhile before he returns. Probably. It always seemed like a long time between his visits, but I don't have any way of telling the time in here...

I want to ask if they've figured out how I might escape, but I know it's too soon to hope. But maybe they have come up with some ideas...if they even still cared. I tried to remember what it was like to care about someone far away...but I can't even remember the feeling.

"D-Do you still want to help me?" I ask, my fragile heart fearing the answer...

Of course we do~

Tell us now, oh little child,

What it is, that he told you.

Must have taken him a while,

if only now we hear your spiel.

Tee-Hee-Hee~

The moment I saw Enjou's name in my alerts, I shivered in fear.

Anyways, yes, it would be entertaining to kill him.

Everything is white for a reason. It's either because it's essential to the magic that created this place, or a side effect of it. Either way, we should test that by adding color.

Or it could be a red herring, but we have no other clues.

Step one: Take blankets and make a rope.
Step two: Break table.
Step three: Take broken table and rope and create a trap so the next time the bad man comes he either a) dies or b) possibly gets distracted enough for you to escape.

@TOaOD I believe the lady already mentioned that she couldn't even scratch the table. So that's out.

@AnonymousRabbit Let's refrain from inviting any more evil d(a)emon gods into the equation, shall we?

To the lady:

Certainly, I wish to help. However, my interaction with you and your cell is entirely limited by the spell you cast. As such, I am entirely reliant upon you for information upon which to base any plans I may be able to come up with. Therefore:

One, can you tell us anything specific about this "Demon Lord"? Preferred methods, magical ability, domain, underlings, any reason he may have imprisoned you, etcetera.

Two, tell us about your magic. How many spells can you cast? What of their power? Are they restricted in any fashion? Do you require vocalization, gestures, materials? How are they structured, if at all?

Three, tell us about your physical condition. Are you in good shape? Do you know any armed or unarmed combat? How viable is an escape plan that involves fighting as opposed to hiding?

Help we shall bring, yes yes. Wether the results of thy help provided meet with a outcome the you wish depends on to whom you listen.

Be wary of thous who whisper dark things to you. For if you listen you may find yourself worse than when you began.

She could also magick the table partially into the wall or something so she could gather pieces that way. Remember, she could magick the sheets away, so she may be able to magick the table as well.

Edit: Alternatively we can all collectively try to science something. Nothing bad can come out of that right?

Why of course I'll help you, dearie. But how could I when I know nothing about him beyond what he has done?

I immediately feel relieved by the voices chiming in that they'll help me. I hadn't imagined them, they were real and they wanted to help. Well mostly. A few seem to be telling me to spill my blood, but I remember some earlier advice and just ignore them. Your own blood was near useless anyway as a magical reagent. It almost always had to be another's, usually forcibly taken, and ideally their last life's blood for the most potency.

Oh, some didn't want to perform blood magic, but colour the room? I don't think that it's a...bad idea, but I don't want to deliberately hurt myself...how would I even make myself bleed in the first place? I entertain possibilities for a moment before I push them aside. No. I don't want to think about it.

They wanted to know more about him. I hated thinking about it, but...maybe there was some clue you weren't seeing in his endless torment? The questions...

"You'd think that he'd do a lot, but...but he only asks questions. The same questions. Over and over and over..." and over again. Never stopping, it became a mantra that drilled into my mind. That couldn't be all though. I always felt weak afterwards, I could barely crawl, even though he never did anything but ask questions...

"He asks me 'Who are you?'," Mocking me about how I'm not the Hero. How he's taken my memory of my life before the war, even my name. My name...what is my name?

"Then...then he asks me 'Why don't you unlock the door?'," Showing me how powerless I was. How I couldn't do anything, not even move beyond this small room...How could I ever hope to defeat him?

"The last question he asks is...Why..." my voice breaks. I failed them. It was my fault...my fault "Why t-the hero's friends had to d-die." I feel like crying again. Were we not ready? Should I have waited longer? It didn't matter, if someone was to blame, it was me... The hero was the one who made the decisions.I 'm no hero. If I was, they'd still be alive...

No, I wasn't going to cry. I needed to be strong. I wasn't strong enough to save them.

"What else do you want to know about? My magic or the de-him." I shudder at the memory of our last meeting. How could three questions cut so deep?

He's messing with your mind. Mess with his instead!

When he asks 'Who are you?' respond 'I am you, of course. Why have you locked yourself in this room?'

When he asks 'Why don't you unlock the door?' respond 'Why don't you unlock the door?'

When he asks the last one 'Why t-the hero's friends had to d-die.' respond 'Because you have locked yourself in this room. You really should let yourself out.'

Child, is there any way to leave the communication spell hidden the next he ask's question?
Good idea!
