Character Sheet

Infamy: Feared. Once the people of Atlantis realize what you are and why you are created, they will fear you. Most of them, anyways.

Gain Rate: Due to your nature as a mythical creation of the Gods' themselves, your infamy will rise at the utmost of rates.

Stats: The stats shall be added to the character sheet once I have the chance. Hunger is how hungry the shark is. The more she has eaten, the better she will be able to perform. HP is generally how much damage the shark is capable of taking. Strength, Intelligence, and Willpower are the only stats that we shall be keeping track of and one of them is capable of modifying every single roll that this quest shall entail.

Hunger: 500/????

HP: 1,500/?????

Strength: Strength based rolls will have a +10 modifier to them in your favor. This stat can and will fluctuate depending upon your hunger, health, and the progress made through the quest. Current minimum modifier is +5. Current maximum modifier is unknown.

Intelligence: Intelligence based rolls shall have a +20 modifier to them in your favor. This stat is currently static, though it is liable to change when unlocking new traits during the duration of the quest.

Willpower: Willpower based rolls will have a +5 modifier to them in your favor. This modifier can only be increased as the quest progresses, even throughout reincarnations of the shark.

Traits:
  • Mythical Beast - You are a product of the Gods of this world. And therefore, you are their favored champion of the seas. Adds a bonus to all rolls when attacking anything that is not natural to the sea, depending on what it is you are after.
  • Albinism - Due to your mythical nature, you have been uplifted as different than other great white sharks. You are the only albino shark. This also makes sneaking up on surface dwelling prey more difficult as you do not bear the natural camouflage that other great whites have. Bears a negative to all stealth rolls.
  • Fury Re-InCarnate: As a creation of the Gods of the seas, your spirit is everlasting, and your soul, restless. Regardless of if your mortal form dies, you will be back. Quest Loss Condition Omitted: Death.
  • Temporary Trait : Hungry - You've fed in the past days, but with your now advanced size and intelligence, you need more sustenance than usual.

Theme: Could it have been anything else?

Known NPC's:

The Goddess behind your creation and uplifting. She has appeared before you and given you your task to dismantle Atlantis. She acts motherly towards you.

I feel lke everyone is forgetting the essence of a shark unstoppable predator than can't stop till its eaten its pray. why don't we just attack some traveling seahorses or whatever cause some damage then a brave hero captures us then we eat the king

Look, it is a well-known fact that the only thing scarier than a shark is several of them, so any plan that maximises the number of sharks also maximises our Fear gain. And a maxed out Fear rating will make taking Atlantis much easier, as the more Fear we cause the more of their citizens will flee and abandon the city at our mere presence.

And then we let the sharks take over and have the first city inhabited entirely by chondrichthyes!

I'm pretty sure anyone bringing an animal as a gift to someone will go through the whole taming process, involving animal abuse. Something to think about.

Only if they assume us to be a regular shark, instead of one sent by the Gods. In the latter case, e may be worshipped, sacrificed or end up seducing the King.

Little Sharks, doo doo, doo doo doo doo...
Fear of Sharks, doo doo, doo doo doo doo...
Trojan Sharks, doo doo, doo doo doo doo...
Scouting Shark! doo doo, doo doo doo doo...
Ooh, a Shark! doo doo, doo doo doo doo...
Not sorry.

@OfSpaceandTime how tall is Calypso? She's a goddess, so I assume she can change size at will?
Her body began to extend, from the once twenty feet to a much larger and more intimidating twenty three feet long.
Also, just went back to read this. 20-->23 feet long. Whew, as if I wasn't crapping my shorts already! That 3 feet really make a 15% increase in sweat and nervousness! :V

[X]Plan Little Sharks

It's the cutest option!

[x] Plan Troy Shark
-[x]Calypso said other sharks are under the control of Atlantis. Explore the borders of Atlantis and see how they are treated/to which degree they are under control. If they're left relatively free to move (no collars/chains/leash) let yourself be captured/tamed. Fake submissiveness.(Will require an intelligence check to ensure shark 'acts natural' enough.)
--[x]Once you've been fed and are in the place in which you can deal the most damage while still being able to escape if overwhelmed go crazy and kill/eat as many as possible. Try to avoid soldiers and aim for civilians, especially kidsYounger adults/teens. We want max terror.

I'll remind everyone: If we die we come back!

This means we can take bigger risks

We only get ONE chance to attack while unknown. They don't know we want to destroy their kingdom, they don't know we're a SMART SAPIENT so they'll be unprepared for our first attack, and by infiltrating them we can strike hard and fast from the inside, possibly even killing their royalty if we're lucky and patient.

If we don't do it now, we'll never get another chance like this. Next time they'll KNOW who we are.

We can make more sharks/attack the borders/literally any of the other plans on our second life/after we escape.

Troy Shark can only work if we do it right now

Gonna post the little sharks plan here from page 9 so people don't think we're voting for "Shark plans little sharks". (That's a noun "plan", not a verb "plan"!)

[X]Plan Little Sharks
-[X] Start swimming towards Atlantis
-[X] Eat anything not shark along the way until you feel full
-[X] Make sharks follow you on your trip
-[X] Make little sharks

But if we want Max Terror, isn't it better if we build up our presence?

Doing stuff like jumping out of nowhere and targeting civilians is perfect for maximising panic, but we don't want the Atlanteans to run around like headless codfish. We want them to leave the city and never return, with only ruins of the once great city left to remind everyone of their hubris.

Slowly building up power and dread while presenting an unstoppable and inevitable doom is much better for that purpose. The Trojan Shark would be great as a prelude to an invasion (like the Horse it is named after) or if we wanted the Atlanteans to overreact and swear vengeance against 1+ of the Gods and/or the concept of sharking, but that isn't our goal here.

Also not sure that targeting the people who can't hurt us over the ones who can is a good strategy in general.

Two points against your argument:
1. We're a villain shark. Om.
2. Those mermaids look yummy. Nom.

To be honest, without knowing the way the Atlantean governement is structured, we don't know how to attack them.

For example, if they have a Divine King who claims to rule by blessing of the Gods, then being eaten by Godshark will shake their society.
If they don't have a divine King but a parliament with an elected speaker, then they may interpret it as the Gods objecting to that speakers specific policy, and continue onwards undisturbed.

Edit: On the other hand, I'm not sure how we're going to pull of destroying Atlantis without creating a de facto genocide. The Atlanteans are at war with the surface people. If we drive them out of the seas, they have nowhere to go.

[X]Plan Fear
-[X] Find isolated trade caravans.
-[X] Kill them in as swift a manner as possible.
-[X] Allow minimal survivors.
--[X] Feed on the way, as well as on victims within the caravans.

"Cut off the head and the body will follow."
"Wise words, but what about a hydra?"
"Uhhh... shut up!" *CHOMP!* "i-it's not like I w-want to eat you or anything... b-baka!"

Just because we're a villain doesn't mean we have to be dumb and ignore the actual threat over screaming people!

Also muscle tastes better than fat, so we should definitely go for the soldiers who train a lot.
(^completely ignoring how IIRC a great white's usual diet contains lots of fatty mammals)

i've never seen it, but maybe something from Sharknado?

you have a point, but i think my plan brings plenty of terror too. There's also the fact we have a MALUS to stealth, they'll probably see us coming and escape (or at least try to) which is part of the reason i'm going for a plan that actually takes advantage of our uniqueness by giving us a chance to a first strike where it hurts them most. Also a chance to gather intel.

And..well, i find the idea of a shark infiltrator/spy simply too funny to pass up :p. It's something I'd love to read, and that can only be done in our first attack. They'll be prepared after.

mh..actually, if we come back to life anyway, wouldn't a kamikaze attack be the most effective in bringing panic?

Attack for max damage and panic, we die, they relax and lower their guards, then we come back and repeat!
