Character Sheet

Infamy: Feared. Once the people of Atlantis realize what you are and why you are created, they will fear you. Most of them, anyways.

Gain Rate: Due to your nature as a mythical creation of the Gods' themselves, your infamy will rise at the utmost of rates.

Stats: The stats shall be added to the character sheet once I have the chance. Hunger is how hungry the shark is. The more she has eaten, the better she will be able to perform. HP is generally how much damage the shark is capable of taking. Strength, Intelligence, and Willpower are the only stats that we shall be keeping track of and one of them is capable of modifying every single roll that this quest shall entail.

Hunger: 500/????

HP: 1,500/?????

Strength: Strength based rolls will have a +10 modifier to them in your favor. This stat can and will fluctuate depending upon your hunger, health, and the progress made through the quest. Current minimum modifier is +5. Current maximum modifier is unknown.

Intelligence: Intelligence based rolls shall have a +20 modifier to them in your favor. This stat is currently static, though it is liable to change when unlocking new traits during the duration of the quest.

Willpower: Willpower based rolls will have a +5 modifier to them in your favor. This modifier can only be increased as the quest progresses, even throughout reincarnations of the shark.

Traits:
  • Mythical Beast - You are a product of the Gods of this world. And therefore, you are their favored champion of the seas. Adds a bonus to all rolls when attacking anything that is not natural to the sea, depending on what it is you are after.
  • Albinism - Due to your mythical nature, you have been uplifted as different than other great white sharks. You are the only albino shark. This also makes sneaking up on surface dwelling prey more difficult as you do not bear the natural camouflage that other great whites have. Bears a negative to all stealth rolls.
  • Fury Re-InCarnate: As a creation of the Gods of the seas, your spirit is everlasting, and your soul, restless. Regardless of if your mortal form dies, you will be back. Quest Loss Condition Omitted: Death.
  • Temporary Trait : Hungry - You've fed in the past days, but with your now advanced size and intelligence, you need more sustenance than usual.

Theme: Could it have been anything else?

Known NPC's:

The Goddess behind your creation and uplifting. She has appeared before you and given you your task to dismantle Atlantis. She acts motherly towards you.

  • [X]Plan Little Sharks
    -[X] Start swimming towards Atlantis
-[X] Eat anything not shark along the way until you feel full
-[X] Make sharks follow you on your trip
    -[X] Make little sharks
    [x] Plan Troy Shark
-[x]Calypso said other sharks are under the control of Atlantis. Explore the borders of Atlantis and see how they are treated/to which degree they are under control. If they're left relatively free to move (no collars/chains/leash) let yourself be captured/tamed. Fake submissiveness.(Will require an intelligence check to ensure shark 'acts natural' enough.)
--[x]Once you've been fed and are in the place in which you can deal the most damage while still being able to escape if overwhelmed go crazy and kill/eat as many as possible. Try to avoid soldiers and aim for civilians, especially kidsYounger adults/teens. We want max terror.
    [X]Plan Fear
    -[X] Find isolated trade caravans.
-[X] Kill them in as swift a manner as possible.
    -[X] Allow minimal survivors.
--[X] Feed on the way, as well as on victims within the caravans.

[x] Plan Troy Shark

Oh, yes please. Let's put that +20 to Inelligence checks to work!

E: Oh, damn it

So, little sharks won even if I count the new votes that happened after I closed the vote.

I'm working on the update, but let's see where the quote came from.

Blackfish
[]Plan Little Sharks

-[] Start swimming towards Atlantis

-[] Eat anything not shark along the way until you feel full

-[] Make sharks follow you on your trip

-[] Make little sharks

You glide through the waters, your caudal fin barely moving to project your massive frame towards your goal. As intelligent as you are, you have come to the conclusion that you, more than likely, are not capable of bringing Atlantis to its knees on your own. At least, at your current level.

And thusly, you have decided to amass an army of as many sharks that you can on your way towards Atlantis. Even if that means an army of baby sharks.

You allow yourself to enter the hunt, enhancing all of your senses to everything around you. Every little vibration and disturbance throughout the water. Every scent within miles. As a great white, your olfactory senses are some of the most powerful in the ocean. And so it comes as no surprise to you as you turn towards the scent of blood. Something has been hit, and you aim to find it.

Your tail begins to move faster as you course more strength through it causing you to accelerate through the water like the torpedo you are. Faster, and faster. The current means nothing to you as you descend through the water at an incredible speed.

And soon enough, you've found your mark. A dead tiger shark, descending upside down through the water.

You slow your pace, and begin to turn through the water, vigilant. A sound comes through the water and to your ears. Slow, and creaky. In the distance, you make out a large outline. The back of the creature bears a large dorsal fin, much too large to be that of any shark. The caudal fin of the creature is horizontal, instead of vertical. And on the body are white markings.

And the creature is swimming towards you in a hurry.

--------------------------------------

You've stumbled across a lone orca who's just killed a tiger shark, and is now approaching you.

Discuss a course of action as to how to best deal with the over-sized dolphin.

Moratorium: 18 hours.

--------------------------

A/N: We are still running with Plan Little Sharks, however we have other things we'll have to do before we can get on with amassing a shark army. Such as eating this orca.

Sub-Note: Sorry for the small update. I was a little stuck with an immediate scenario, and decided to throw a low-level boss at you guys right away. Enjoy!

This orca will prove a threat to our future children, and more importantly orcas are like lean whales and a healthy part of any giant murdershark's diet!

Eat it, of course this means we have to die under it, and attack its fines and tail, try to drown the bugger.

issue is avoid the mouth, but if we can grab one of its fins or if the sea is kind, we grab its tail we can insure it goes down.

problem is Orca's never go alone, so its pod might be somewhere near, so best to end it quick and make a good meal of it!

Since dolphins like to kill sharks by ganging up and stabbing there belles its only fair that we do the same we go under and nibble on his underside and maybe taunt it by going for a bite out of the tiger .

I know that this is just a typo and you meant "dive", but I can't help but read this as a suggestion that we die to throw it off course, then reincarnate and attack while it isn't looking.

Which is an objectively awful plan that means discarding Plan Little Sharks for nothing, and yet part of me really wants to try it...

Alright, we play this defensively, I think. Avoid the Orca's business end, try to keep ourselves in its blind spots. If we can successfully outmaneuver it, then we go in for the weak spots. (The blowhole might be a good place to go after, if we can keep it from turning around on us) If not, then we may need to reconsider the plan.

What if we pretend to "die", and float still in the water? We're technically undead, and it wouldn't be hard to stop most signs of life, bait this oversized sea cow into getting too close.

@OfSpaceandTime are we faster than this orca? We're a god-blessed shark, whereas this is a big water cow, so I think we should have the speed advantage.

I'm suggesting priority targets:
- Tail fin
- Dorsal fin
- Eyes (don't be fooled by the white markings)
- Blowhole

We should avoid being immobilized ourselves of course - that's how orcas IRL kill great whites.

A stealthy approach then a crippling strike is my preference.

So is there any cover we can hide behind? Like coral or seaweed? Or are we too far from the bottom?
Or is just disappearing into the murky depths enough to count as stealth? I'm not sure on the vision range of sea creatures underwater.

we have a malus to stealth though. Our strong points are our strenght and (most importantly) our stealth. EDIT I MEANT INTELLECT

I'd go with a "death of a thousand cuts bites" plan. We probably have more stamina, we should go with many quick attacks, trying to exhaust him and outmaneuver it

And use our superior intellect! What would a superintelligent shark do to murder an orca?
I guess we should try to outrun it, since we might have better stamina? Since it looks like it's intent on killing us, we should lead it on a wild goose chase, tire it out, and then turn around in a radical backflip!

could work. Maybe we could have it crash/get stuck against some obstacles, like an underwater cave (if there is a suitable one close enough).

Close save there! Would a giant great white be more maneuverable than a killer whale?

We looking at diving under the orca and perhaps use the environment? I read somewhere that sharks needs movement for oxygen exchange, so we will need to avoid the surface and get low level advantage.

[] Plan Gas Gas Gas
-[] Use intellect to gauge the swimming speed of the orca.
-[] Pretend to flee from orca, keeping our speed to rate of average shark.
-[] Dive and do a drift turn to bite into orca's belly. Underbelly or side belly are both fine.
-[] Then aggressively swim and bite but avoid the surface.
