Character Sheet

Infamy: Feared. Once the people of Atlantis realize what you are and why you are created, they will fear you. Most of them, anyways.

Gain Rate: Due to your nature as a mythical creation of the Gods' themselves, your infamy will rise at the utmost of rates.

Stats: The stats shall be added to the character sheet once I have the chance. Hunger is how hungry the shark is. The more she has eaten, the better she will be able to perform. HP is generally how much damage the shark is capable of taking. Strength, Intelligence, and Willpower are the only stats that we shall be keeping track of and one of them is capable of modifying every single roll that this quest shall entail.

Hunger: 500/????

HP: 1,500/?????

Strength: Strength based rolls will have a +10 modifier to them in your favor. This stat can and will fluctuate depending upon your hunger, health, and the progress made through the quest. Current minimum modifier is +5. Current maximum modifier is unknown.

Intelligence: Intelligence based rolls shall have a +20 modifier to them in your favor. This stat is currently static, though it is liable to change when unlocking new traits during the duration of the quest.

Willpower: Willpower based rolls will have a +5 modifier to them in your favor. This modifier can only be increased as the quest progresses, even throughout reincarnations of the shark.

Traits:
  • Mythical Beast - You are a product of the Gods of this world. And therefore, you are their favored champion of the seas. Adds a bonus to all rolls when attacking anything that is not natural to the sea, depending on what it is you are after.
  • Albinism - Due to your mythical nature, you have been uplifted as different than other great white sharks. You are the only albino shark. This also makes sneaking up on surface dwelling prey more difficult as you do not bear the natural camouflage that other great whites have. Bears a negative to all stealth rolls.
  • Fury Re-InCarnate: As a creation of the Gods of the seas, your spirit is everlasting, and your soul, restless. Regardless of if your mortal form dies, you will be back. Quest Loss Condition Omitted: Death.
  • Temporary Trait : Hungry - You've fed in the past days, but with your now advanced size and intelligence, you need more sustenance than usual.

Theme: Could it have been anything else?

Known NPC's:

The Goddess behind your creation and uplifting. She has appeared before you and given you your task to dismantle Atlantis. She acts motherly towards you.

Wait... for Troy Shark...

Does "act natural" include not looking like a shark from hell? Wouldn't Atlantis have some kind of knowledge of aquatic life to know that sharks don't get this big without magical god BS?
She's just an albino shark with normal eyes and is large. Someone would likely respond to her presence before she attacks with awe and excitement, and then proceed to try to get to show the shark off to everyone they can and get her to aid in their war with the surface dwellers.

It's not every day you see an albino great white, though they would assume her to be of average great white intelligence and not able to understand their speech and already know what they want her to do.

Okay! Just to confirm, we dont have a time limit, right?

Neat, seems we have someone to subcontract the destruction of Atlantis to.
Hmm, what if we use our crazy intellect to our advantage, and develop some means of communication? Like shark talk or something.
Then we could make a contract with people (not sure how underwater contracts work. Waterproof paper? Promises?) to undermine Atlantis.
We could also find some way to rally the fishies to us, becoming their Queen, and assault the city?
Or insert ourselves into their upper levels of government, convincing them that we're a merman just like them! (In the same way the guy with a knife to someone's neck convinces people that he's totally a friend of theirs, they just forgot!)

I'm pretty sure anyone bringing an animal as a gift to someone will go through the whole taming process, involving animal abuse. Something to think about.

Still think we should wage a gorilla war on then while there forces are fighting the surface people

this brings some funny images to mind

we can fake submissiveness, we're smart!

Though yes, the indignity/taming is a point against my plan. I still think it's worth it though

@Pittauro you're going to be the first of the quest to receive an inspiration point. You were the one who told me to use the moratorium for the vote plans.

An insperation point grants you a reroll on a roll that you feel failed to be as good as you would have liked.

Only one per person at a time. And only a few shall be rewarded at a time.

Edit: May rename them to a shark/ocean pun.

On one hand we can swim around and make little sharks, on the other hand we are confined and being tamed. I don't know about you but school of sharks sounds much more palatable.

yay! I solemnly promise to use it most irresponsibly! :p

confined and being tamed up until the point we're brought to the king as a gift!

If you want to bring a kingdom to chaos you need to go for the ruler! A succession crisis would be very good for us, especially if it ends in civil war.

But we would be deep in hostile zone of control without clear exit, i much rather not risk death this early.

Of were causing a succession crisis then we need to kill whoever the king choose as his heir
And kill the one after that... and the royal palace guards, they're dangerous.
Then the palace staff. No witnesses.
Then the city's news outlets, to make sure they don't announce our presence.
Then the citizens, since we want to cripple the city.
...wait.

it really depends on how they use us.

Let's say the king decides to go outside his palace, maybe to hunt something, maybe to visit one of his cities/nobles.

And he decides to travel in style

And by in style i mean riding his giant white shark, trained and obedient. Or using it to pull a carriage, or something like it.

And then, after having been a good obedient pet for months...we strike!

I won't deny it's high risk, but it's not unreasonable. We'll certainly be given chances to escape if we let them lower their guard, and this will maximise the effectiveness of that first, completely unexpected strike.

Also i think it makes for a more interesting story.

Here I was imagining our shark girl create cool contraptions to blow up Atlantis.
Everyone expects the shark to eat you
They NEVER expect the shark explosives!

What if some Atlantisan? have power similar to Aquaman? Or Fish/Shark whisperer? Or beastmaster? We'll have a big obstacle in our infiltration effort if they have someone that can differentiate the weird creature from the normal.

Quantity has a quality all its own. I like the idea of subordinating other lesser sharks and making them breeds to bolster our number, but I think making direct descendent from our shark won't be necessary.
