Moves
Creepy: When a comrade sees you perform a ritual, overhears your prayers, or sees signs of your alienness, they lose Trust in you. Once they learn one of your Moves, they are no longer affected, but they gain Creepy as well.
Deep Ones: You can call on your patrons to Help you on a roll. On a 1, you Break after this mission.
Blessing: When you dab fresh blood on a piece of working equipment, roll +Calm. On a 16+, take both. On an 11-15, choose 1.
  • Take +1 Ongoing with this item this Routine. (+1 Handling for a plane)
  • The item cannot break or be lost this Routine. (+1 Armour on 1 Section of the Plane.)
On a miss, you need a bigger sacrifice. Don't disappoint.
Ideomotor Response: Your plane effectively has a programmable autopilot. It does not have to be switched on and off; it "knows" when you are behind the controls.
Soul-Bound: When you paint a rune in blood on an aircraft, you are linked. While in flight, you can take incoming Structure damage as Stress, 1-1. You can take a hit that would strike a Component as Injury, or give incoming Injury to your Engine.
Bond: (Witch move learned from Wulf) When you hold an object of significance and make an emotional connection to it, take 1 Stress. The object becomes a magical Focus, and you learn it's Nature (Earth, Air, Water, Fire, Iron, or Blood).
Contemplation: When you draw a ritual circle and stay within it, roll +Calm. On a 16+, you come out of it about an hour later refreshed; strike 3 Stress or 2 Injury. On an 11-15, it takes the whole night, and you're unreachable in that time.

Mastery
The Bushwack
Ambush Predator: When you strike an enemy who is unaware of your presence, roll with Advantage.
Forced Evade: When you fire to scare an opponent off, spend 1 ammo and roll +Hard. On a hit, instead of dealing damage, choose one: Target dives 1, target climbs 1, target loses speed in a forced turn. On a 16+, roll attack dice on them anyway.
Momentum: When you dive onto a target, add +1 AP.
Scissors Snip: When you disengage, give an ally +3 towards dealing with your target.

Familiar Vices
- Drinking
- Prayer
- Dancing

Vice Progress
- Breaking Stuff: ☑☐☐
- Cannabis: ☑☐☐

Intimacy Move
When you are intimate with another, choose one of you to get a hold. They can spend that hold to give the other a command: if followed, then forward to their next +Stat move, they will always score at least a partial hit, regardless of what the dice say.

If you use this move in the air, there are two holds, and they can be distributed however you agree.

[X] Talk shop with Wulf- V speeds, weapons, and tactics mostly.
-[X] When you're done, get Arren to touch fluffy ears and see what you can get to happen from there.

I like the vote, @7734 , but I think your priorities are backwards.

I've logged way too many hours in Jane's Flight Simulator to not be painfully aware of what an escort mission feels like. As much as I enjoy the concept of making fish and chips with the werewolf of London here, you're not making me fuck around with getting stuck on a helicopter escort mission where I'm flying orbits around them for three bloody hours. Covering a B-52 strike package in a Phantom is pain enough- covering a helicopter in anything short of another helicopter is what you call "hell".

I'll assure you that Wulf's copter can do about 120 kph, which is in your stall speed. The helicopters in Flying Circus are anachronistically effective, being not dissimilar to early massed produced models like the Hoverfly. This is so that they can keep up in a Crimson Skies esque manner.

Besides, you'll learn pretty soon you'll hardly be escorting her. Wulf isn't a bandit leader for no reason...

Then again "Get Arren to touch the fluffy ears" is not necessarily doing something for him. I think he'd like it but I'm not sure he would like if we try to get him to kiss Wulf or let us do that or something so we'd better make sure to back down if he seems like he's been pushed too far out of the comfort zone today.

Anyway, do the Fishpeople have interesting pre-battle rituals? Minor sacrifices to the Dark Gods and all that.

Or is it exclusively human sacrifice?

Okay, you'd drifted off-topic. And a little off-course; you were leaning about 15 degrees. You corrected and tried to figure out where you were. In the story, and the trip.

This is a great line and I am going to steal it from you.

"I guess just... I only have one thing. Two things. First, you have to let me meet her, before you... do anything else. I want to... I dunno. Vet her." He said, and you giggled.

"What?"

"Vet her. Like, she's a wolf, like, dog, vet, like, animal doctor..." You kinda stumbled through it, but it got a laugh from him too.

Hmmm as for this... how to remind him he's still our #1 fishman....

Wait, we have that ability to let ghost soldier dude/ Cthulhu take the wheel, don't we? Cruise control, as envisioned by Lovecraft Motors?

That means that in theory, we could clamber into the observer's seat to give our wonderful boyfriend cuddles and remind him how much we love him, whilst the plane stays level.

[X] Cthulhu take the wheel!
-[X] Climb into our observer's seat to remind Arren how much we love him, and that he is still the most special person to us in the entire world.

I find it very funny that I will make a point of reminding the audience that the characters are technically speaking German every once and a while, but it does not at all stop me from engaging in English wordplay.

On a side note, I dug this up. Not sure if it's still valid.

  • Forbidden Word: When you speak a name of one of your patrons, you and everyone who hears it rolls +Calm. 16+, take +3 Forward. 11-15, take 1 Stress and +1 Forward. NPCs are put ill at ease, stunned, or nauseated.
  • Blessing: When you dab fresh blood on a piece of working equipment, roll +Calm. On a 16+, take both. On an 11-15, choose 1.
    • Take +1 Ongoing with this item this Routine. (+1 Handling for a plane)
    • The item cannot break or be lost this Routine. (+1 Armour to 5 locations for a plane.)

You can take a hit that would strike a Component as Injury, or give incoming Injury to your Engine. You can give the plane incoming Stress as Structure damage, 1-5.

Germans being funny is of course, a gross inaccuracy.

Yep, but you do have Cthulhu autopilot as well.

I am going to go and fully update your sheet real soon, then pin it.

I mean, English is basically German with a thousand year long hangover, waking up in the bed to find Norman French groggily waking up next to them and Latin blissfully snoring away in the corner, wine bottle still clutched protectively in hand.

Anyway options.

Soulbinding ourselves and/or Arren to the plane, so that we can deflect incoming injuries to the engine. An engine can be replaced, internal organs are a slightly trickier proposition. Also allows us to absorb structure damage and all that.

Could use Blessing, but it's dangerous. We don't exactly have any monetary reserves for greater sacrifices lying around.

True. And we don't know whether Wulf wants Arren to touch fluffy ears or not.

And with notes that say "call me" from a bunch of other languages

Guys my plan wasn't a joke! Vote for it pls!

Especially since, like "okay come and make out with the chick I sort of semi-cheated on you with", is a bit tricky right after Arren has just managed to get over that, I think? Also we don't know whether he or Wulf will actually be up for it right now. That's the kinda thing that could be super fun in future, maybe, but it takes a little time, I think.

I think Soulbinding ourselves to the plane could work well, and it makes sense. If Arren decides to do it though, it could be a sweet romantic moment, and a symbol of our commitment, both to our relationship and our gods.

A Blessing has risks but could also be really effective here, I think. Presumably if we needed greater sacrifices, the town has livestock? And Wulf has money, and understands that sometimes eldritch forces can be a dick and need rapid appeasement. Like, a failure would certainly be non-ideal, there's no arguing that, but I think it would probably be readily survivable.

The town might try to literally burn us at the stake for practicing animal sacrifice?

I don't like big pinned posts. They get in the way.

Besides, it's not like the sheet is hard to find. It's just at the front and a simple tab makes cross referencing easy.

  • Howl: Wulf's helicopter. An experimental pre-war model. Liquid-cooled radial. Three wolf moon. 1 thaler per Routine.

Any idea what this means?

The town might try to literally burn us at the stake for practicing animal sacrifice?

Bit of a risk yeah.

We could try doing it in the air?
