I just realized what scene I want to see the most when Fenja and Menja join up. A Shocked/Bewildered/Half-asleep Taylor quotes the Venerable Tankred.
"Taylor, it's time to wake up."
A groan coming from under the blankets was the only response Danny got. "Taylor, you're going to miss school." He tried again, and shook her a bit for good measure.
"Hrmgh ffhuck schoo..."
Danny rolled his eyes and grabbed the blankets, revealing his still half-asleep daughter. She groaned some more, and slowly opened her eyes. She looked at her father, who was watching her titanic struggle against sleep with a bemused look on his face.
She sighed, and closed her eyes again. "Do I really have to get up now?" The bed was just so damn warm and comfy she couldn't quite muster the strength to get up yet.
"Yup. Your mom's already cooked breakfast, so unless you want to eat cold eggs and bacon you'll need to get up now honey."
Taylor let out a deep sigh, but didn't move just yet. She was just so comfortable it already took a great effort of will not to just drift back to sleep. "And I was having such a nice dream too..." She said.
"Oh?"
"There were these two girls, you know?" She elaborated. "Blonde hair, beautiful eyes..."
"Really?"
She breathed slowly and let out a half yawn, half sigh of contentment at the vague memory. She hummed in agreement and continued, "Twins, they were."
"Well, good thing it wasn't a dream then." Danny said.
Taylor's eyes shot open, letting her see her father enormously amused grin. He wordlessly pointed to her side on the bed.
She twisted her head to her side, and beheld a blonde girl sleeping contently while hugging her like the worlds most comfortable teddy bear. She raised her head a bit and sure enough there was the girl's twin, hugging her sister as well.
Taylor blinked, confused. Three seconds later, her mind caught up with the situation enough to create more complex thoughts than 'what'.
'So that's why the bed was so warm even without the blankets...'
Unfortunately for Taylor, those thoughts weren't that helpful. Or much more complex for that matter.
Danny chuckled at her gobsmacked look, drawing her attention back to him. "Your mother also made breakfast for them, so be sure to wake them up as well." He waved at her from the door. "See you down there, little owl. Don't take too long with your girlfriends." He teased, before closing the door, leaving Taylor to deal with the happily snoring twins.
