I do wonder where the changing eye colors thing comes from.

Also it is nice to see the power armor models that will in time produce most of the coalition's unique power armor series. The spider rider battle armor, yes the fantasy design style is a purposeful design/aesthetic choice, I presume would come from the Knight Series as opposed to the Gundam esque series.

In regards to the hyperspace satellites and transports, how about taking a few cues from Darius and make them all sea life and fish themed? Giving the satellites the ability to freely move would make it a lot more difficult for people or the local wildlife to destroy. I had an idea of making one based off of those gaint squids and taking some inspiration from the ice core from the Gradius series. By employing a crystalline/icy casing over the bullk of the hull I hope to mask the heat signature while optical stealth is on by making the heat emission match the surrounding background temperature as much as possible. Alternatively it could help disguise the ship as an asteroid or comet. Primarily these ships are used for transport and trade with the stealth capabilities being for to avoid pirates but they are also well suited for a variety of stealth and ambush centered tasks.

To help illustrate what I mean.

I do wonder where the changing eye colors thing comes from.

The changing eye color thing comes from how some Zoidians eyes can change shades of color. My SI is a little bit more special in this case.

As for satellite, we have judge satellite why change a new design when the old one just fine.

Also we don't have those materials to camouflage them.

Anyways the knight PA(L) is more for both zoid warriors and mechwarriors. They can also be used as a special force style kind.

Really? I never really noticed that.

Mostly to go with the theme. It also helps in granting added mobility and camouflage. The judge satellites weren't originally designed for hyperspace or even open space despite being designed more as orbital platforms than your standard satellite. Besides it is harder to spot a metal fish amongst hyperspace fish than it is to find an orbital satellite platform. Simple mimicry goes a long way here for hiding from both the people seeking to destroy it and the wildlife that may think it looks tasty.

I don't understand that one. How can they not have the materials to grow ice crystals for camouflage? I can understand it being more of a future design but not that they don't have the materials.

I ment in terms of development that the Spider Rider Battle Armor would come from the Knight power armor rather than the Gundam style power armor due to it being a closer match in terms of aesthetics and build. Spider themed special forces battle armor based on the Spider Rider battle suits, Iron Spider, Steel Spider, and Arachnid Rider suits I see more likely to come from the Knight line.

Well it really not doing much in hyperspace other than acting as a relay and defend itself from hyperspace monsters. Jumpship in BT are instant travel once charged. As long as the satellite isn't in the ship's path then it won't cause an incident.

Hyperspace monsters would recognized it because it not native to their space. A disguise means nothing as they come in various forms, not just seafood.

Ice crystals as in standard ice or some sort of special material? Because I don't see that anywhere in zoids (if they were then it not the tech my SI has yet) and BT doesn't have those kinds of things (or if they did it now lostech).

Ah yes, that. Well right now they would just modify their own Knight PA(L) for now until someone comes up with something cost efficient to change the squad armor. Right now it only ten people in the spider squad and only 5 actually need it since they are exposed. The other five wear them for extra protecting on the cockpit. If more rideable spider zoids or insect zoids are born then there might be a motif.

While fair points regarding the judge satellites, I do think experimenting with such forms sooner rather than later will end up being more beneficial when some wise guy decides for their drop ships to not be instantaneous. Besides if hyperspace wildlife is anything like ours then they are less likely to make a fuss when it looks like them.

Just regular ice crystals as it is supposed to help with thermal camouflage or disguise the ship as an asteroid or comet. Though the Zeekdober's evolution the Ice Blazer did have something called Reflective Ice Metal Armor which made it very good at handling beam weaponry. For Navel ships that seems to be something worth looking in to.

I certainly hope that more spider and insect zoids are born because that is just a fun motif to play with.

Experimenting sounds fun but the idea will take a long time to come up with a functional design. With BT people helping out with mass producing those things, they wouldn't do it in a hundred years. They might help change weapons or something but not with changing a design.

Also, Jumpship are always instant. They can't slow it down as it only has one speed. If they happen to run into a spacial rift or hyperspace monster then they misjump (if not from bad maintain). A faction know as the Word of Blake supposedly made some bases in hyperspace but they were consider non-canon as they don't have the ability to do so. Also they might not exist due to the butterflies of my SI.

Ice forms and melts easily in space. It wouldn't help much and could actually interfere with comms operations. However, having the armor might help but how I'm I going to help them build a navy as it mainly just dropships. No warships (according to BT that has to have a compact K-F drive to be a warship) although I'm debating if equipping a Dropship with a Warp Gate drive will count.

Oh yeah they tend to be very slow when it comes to innovation. A few centuries for just some new equipment is a tad ridiculous. Fortunately first contact is definitely going to spur some much needed vigor in that department.

Considering that the ice is to help with camouflage that is a benefit not a distraction. Interfering with coms could be an issue if one doesn't account for it but the whole idea is to use ice to help disguise the ship's thermal signature or help it look like an asteroid or comet. It isn't going to help very much against direct attacks unless the ice is very thick.

I would say no to that. Drop ships are made for reentry. Putting a warp drive on them without changing anything else wouldn't really change that. On the bright side it would be a good opportunity to design the Navel ship after sea life and hyperspace life to give the coalition navy a unique identity which does wonders for moral. Besides after recent events such as the zoids themselves, Wolf and Whale King being instrumental in stopping a coup, the discovery of an entire hyperspace ecosystem, and more, I would certainly expect a lot of animal themes to work its way into a lot of construction projects.

Yeah, and even with aliens, only a few people will be willing to go beyond what the Star League did. Of course, there will be hundreds if not thousands who are part of those small numbers that might innovate their new tech.

Ice is a good camouflage but mainly in the atmosphere. In space, you gotta follow the rules of space in which ice forms easily outside of direct sunlight or heat source but melt just as fast once in contact with such things. Despite the whole sci-fi setting, BT universe runs a bit closer to real-world physic (somewhat but much closer than Zoid's universe).

Actually, several dropships are used as gunships in BT warfare. There is a Leopard known as the CV, which stores 6 ASF (aerospace fighters) and acts as the main firepower for the Air lance. There is the Fortress class dropship that carries an invasion force and has the firepower to level a future city.

However, I can say the shape of the Whale King will cause some people to want to create a dropship in that shape. Currently, the AC doesn't have the tech level to produce Jumpships. Maintain them, yes. Produces them no. Whale King (it is larger than normal) can't help with that as Jumpships (the Invade class that is common here) is around fourth its size, so it needs to scan it carefully or eat it. However, no one wants to lose a Jumpship, even if it is a chance at producing more.

You gotta hate the fact the Star League made systems so reliant on each other and unable to produce or risk anything beyond what they have (of course ComStar killing the smart people didn't help).

I think a bigger issue is that humans have gotten really lazy and content with what they currently have and don't both to continue expanding in those areas. The intergalactic legal issues and Star League idealization certainly doesn't help. Fortunately the AC is about to make themselves enemies of Comstar, effectively telling the rest of the galaxy that they are going to be doing things their own way. That does produce an atmosphere suited for experimentation and innovation which is only spurred on by first contact and necessity. I certainly hope that there is at least a few hundred thousand people frustrated with the stagnant and restrictive environment they have been stuct with. "Come over to the AC where you will have more creative freedom to innovate!" That sounds like a nice slogan or promise. It would be a sad reality where human creativity has been mostly snuffed out by stagnation.

I suppose ice camouflage won't be happening then. Crystals can be organically grown in space but they take forever. Ice is at least easy to grow and to purge. I will have to find another way to hide heat signatures.

At this point using drop ships as war ships just wouldn't give the AC their own unique identity, something of which they do need. Hopefully the combination of zoidian tech, lostech, and other environmental factors will lead to that unique look and identity. At the very least they should think about seeing if they can grow a generator on a ship. Having mobile regel stations would be handy. I would think the discovery and research into hyperspace life would also spur some people to try to imitate their design and not just the whale king. Though seeing the capital city be redesigned with whale and wolf iconography would certainly be a sight.

It less laziness and more the unwillingness to go beyond their comfort zone. There will always be millions who rather live their life as is. While Kamea and the rest of the AC leadership is willing to kick ComStar out, the people might not be so. Even with the revealing of the truth as you see in real life people will question or be in denial. Heck they may even join in the defense against the AC when the ACM attacks every HPG.

Also, the who "Come over to the AC" thing is planned but it will take awhile as right now Ziputer communication for light years distance require the other person to have one as well. So the spread of info will be via slow pony.

They already have their own identity. Also turning Dropship into pocket warship is a step to creating their own after all. They never had the tech nor knowledge to create an actual Warship with Navel Grade weapons. Even with Whale King can't help to much as it shape is it natural form (after Centuries of natural evolution).

Mobile Reggel station might be more of a colony ship or station as Reggel needs soil, waste, and a living Generator to keep it fresh.

Yes the Hyperspace life would spur some stuff but yeah those thing in hyperspace tend to be similar or even more basic then the life on the other planets. Unlike most things, BT is spread over many planetary systems so there plenty of alien animals already. It just the zoids might make some people think of making a mech or vehicle of similar shapes.

A capital City in space... I'll have to see if my plot lets me do so.

SB has a lot of people with some idea. You might see something there with similar ideas or discussion.

That is a factor, once we get overly comfy we do tend to resist change. A silly thing really as life is constant change but I digress. Fortunately humans are also highly adaptable so consider this a much needed and long overdue shove. The zoids including whale king could and probably will end up helping through the study of their design layouts similar to what I previously suggested in helping to improve LAMs. Biomimicry does exist in construction so in a more indirect way the Zoids would be helping in that department.

One of these days I will check Spacebattles, it is just that I don't see the point of having both here and Spacebattles open at the same time. It feels a little redundant.

I'll be pushing for this actually during the interlude 7 and chapter 8

I do because some stories can only be found here vice versa with SB. It also help me see what people on both side thinks on my stories or ideas.

Ha! Go Chen! Push with all your might! Logically it would be stupid not to as well as the Zoidian culture revolving around the Zoids themselves. So there are multiple reasons for Chen to push that. I would also push for research on hyperspace and its ecosystem. The more we know of that place the better especially since there are people who do not know the fundamentals behind their jump drives.

That is quite wise on your part. It is just that I only need one. I will check Spacebattles eventually.

Thank he will need it. Remember this is an SI fic. So Chen was originally human who got turned into a Zoidian due to that blue crystal he was seal in. So he going to weeb it out a bit to make up for what not in the database.

That is quite wise on your part. It is just that I only need one

Well I got accounts for a lot of places. SB, SV, QQ, fanfic and etc for stories.

Capabilities
A Custom upscaled Centurion to 55 tons.
It has twelve tons of Zi Metal armor and a 220 Zi Fusion engine.
It uses Double Heat sinks created after studying the ones found in ComStar's Battlemechs.
It keeps its original Luxor 3R LRM-10 and two Photech 806c medium lasers.
However, it switches its autocannon with a hand actuator and a Zi metal sword (later swapped out for a thermal sword).
Two built-in small lasers on the Right Arm help the sword destroy its enemy.
On its right torso now rests a twin barrel zoid Shock Cannon meant to attack and reduce the heat build-up.
On its left arm now rest two ton Zi metal shield to give the mech more protection and hid a Harmon Light Small Laser.

Deployment
Saw a significant deployment in 3026 when a suppression force came to the Aurigan Reach to take down the "Crazy High Lady" and "restore order" to the Aurigan Reach.

Before anyone asks, the Zoid 2BS is the original version. In other words, the actual zoid weapon attached to the mech and not the IS variant that is still being built for the other battlemech Commander Chen piloting on space missions.

Now that is an upgrade. I want someone to draw picture of how it would look like because it appropriately sounds like one terrifying knight to come across and it continues the fantasy theme the AC appears to like employing.

I wished I was an artist to draw it, but too bad, I'm not. Still looks epic in my mind. Here is what a standard Centurion looks like;

Now imagine the Gun replaced with a hand and a sword in it. Add two barrels above its right shoulder. Add a small hump below it left arm for a small laser and two more on its right.

Potienal BA or new Battlemech due to Zoid influences
Okay, for some reason this idea won't leave my mind but it can actually fit in my outline so here we go.

I have several mech or BA designs that I saw on the Japanese version of Battletech and willing to bring them as new mech(battle or militia) or BA/PA(L).

So I decided to make it a vote for people. See new mechs/BA were always planned due to the influences of Zoids.

Only two can become mech and others power armor and will be Zi battlemechs for non bonded members (and still neurohelmet compatible).

Yeah this thought has been plaguing me since I found the Japanese versions of the mechs but actually fits in the still in process sections.

Edit: Redone the photo to so everyone should be able to see.

Okay then my vote is for 3 and 1 to be Battle Armor and for 2 and 4 to be mechs. It is just that having weapons next to the head is just asking for hearing problems even though the wings would make more sense on a battle armor than on a mech. If possible move those onto one.

Future weapon: Zi metal swords (BA and Battlemech weapon)
Well, I was stuck between this and a side story omake. A coin toss said to do this one for my resting point in my two-section writing:

Type: Melee physical weapon
Manufacturer: Zi Armory
Primary Factory: Planet Zi, Citadel

Tech Base: Exo (alien-experimental)
Battle Value: 60 + (weight of mech x .175 damage)
Year introduced: 3022
Year availability: 3023

Availability Rating: E

Heat: 0
Damage: 3 + (Weight of mech /10) BM : 1 + (max speed of BA/10) : +2 damage against zoids
Minimum range: 0 meter
Short Range: 0 meter (BA: 0 Meter)
Medium Range: 10 meters (BA: 1 Meter)
Long Range: 20 meters (BA: 2 Meter)
Weight: 3 tons (BA: 50 kg)
Critical slots: 4 (BA: PA slot)
Cost: 75,000 C-bills (1000 C-Bill)

Created from Zi Metal, it was initially designed to be equipped to zoids to add to their deadly melee power when someone said. Why not for battlemech and our new battle armor? Thus birth weapons for melee combat are more deadly than some future weapons. It showed that no matter what era, a sword, knife, or anything in hand would still be used in war.

It is like with the rock, no matter the age throwing a rock will always be effective. If it isn't effective, get a bigger one. The same goes for pointy sticks.
