What's the most Cringeworthy Alternate History you've ever read?

Althistory wiki is a black hole of insanity. I think we should put all of it in the cringeworthy alternate history box and forget about it.

There might be a few decent bits buried in all the crazy, but the very nature of the site means they will invariably become insane nonsense as they attract the interest of nutters who will add their own... take on the idea.

Martin Luther was the original reformator who kicked off the reformation - others had disagreed with the Church before already, of course, and some even had managed to found their own movement (Jan Hus, for example), but they had only a limited lasting legacy. The Reformation that endured was Luther, Calvin, Zwingli and the Church of England, and of those Luther definitely was the first. So it makes sense a pastor of any protestant Church, even if not Lutheran, would name their son Martin Luther... or, well, it makes sense in America with its very relaxed naming customs anyway. I guess hereabouts it would just be Martin if you want to honour the reformator...

If it was Martin L King I wouldn't have made that mistake

The thing is, though, most people can distinguish between Martin Luther, the German whose critique of the Catholic Church split Europe in two, and Martin Luther King, Jr, whose critique of America's treatment of Blacks continues to be a major talking point.

It is an in-universe joke based on the ubiquity of Warner Brothers cartoons there after the fall of Communism in WW3. Though the writer of that section of course supplied an image of what such a flag would look like.

I just wrote those sentences.
That was my idea. Guilty as charged :p

The Cabinet list feels like a parody of a parody.
Nope, that wikibox was also created by The Congressman.
