What Fresh Hell (Naruto SI)

Whatever taijutsu we get will either be high impact or have problems using due to the fact that it was made without thinking about our hight difference we have with adults which will be 3 times taler.

So no grappling or throwing for us.

Simple solution to this is get a long metal stick to hit people with.

The staff being long would also offset our reach impairment as ninja's rarely cary something besides kunai and maybe a ninjato.

We can also zap anyone we hit through it.

Whenever you reach S-Rank in any Chakra skill (however far off that might be) you can pick up a special trait from a list. Whilst you can't exceed S-Rank, you can continue improving that skill and eventually pick up an additional trait, and then on. Similar to Legendary skills in 40k quests in that regard.

Can you post that trait list?

If we must have a fighting style I prefer one that focuses on footwork and moving blows away or just focuses on evading them. So it has to be an extremely flexible style.

Edit: But I would be okay with a style that has kicking in it since it leaves our hands free to focus on hand seals.

Why can't we just master all the things?
Never enough time. That is the kind of goal that one can only even contemplate having after achieving immortality.

It looks like most people aren't interested in pushing taijutsu too far so I will be dropping the book from my plan. As for weaponry I think that wire might make a good delivery platform for our lightning attacks.

Edit: Alternatively a spear could be used to take advantage of lighting's properties of penetration, shock and speed. Imagining improved body flicker power spear charges. It probably wouldn't be a terribly practical weapon, but it is a fun idea to play around with.

Not until you get a Chakra skill to rank S :p
Got to keep up that suspense you know :p

They're not easy to make, and the metal is hard to get a hold of, so they're more than a little expensive. Defs specialist weaponry, so a high-tier weapon shop basically.

Why don't you give us a single example of such a trait, then?
Something to satisfy our curiosity, but not enough to dull our determination to reach it.
In fact, it might make us even MORE determined to reach that level, if you throw SHINIES at us. Even one would do.

Would regular conductive metal do for channeling lightning through it?

Oh sure, just for conducting current there's no problem at all, it's just if you want the blade to actually take on the special chakra properties you need the fancy metal.

Well alright then :p

If this is S-Rank Chakra Control, and our Nature Manipulation is already limited by our Chakra Control, then clearly we need to master Chakra Control first.
If we get it up to S-Rank, we'll be able to cut the amount of actions necessary to train our Nature Manipulation to that same level by half (on average), which would leave us all those shiny actions to use on something else.
Alright, people!

We could train with Gai. He learns the Strong Fist from his dad or creates it himself sometime over the course of his career(I don't recall which) and if nothing else, he should be able to help boost our taijutsu skill massively.

Got an idea for a taijutsu style.

We combine henge and taijutsu.

We've seen henge used in canon plenty of times to supplement jutsu, so why not use it to confuse foes? Naruto, for example, used it and helped transform Gamabunta into the fox, so we should be able to do something a lot like that except it'll be much more modest in size.

Why not employ some of the horror movie creatures from the SI's past life too? Might solve some of our height or reach problems.

Why have we not even started learning Genjutsu? It seems like some of the low hanging Genjutsu could be very useful especially considering the influence of the Void Transmigrant Trait. It also seems as if our focus on Chakra control would synchronize well with the subtle nature of Genjutsu.

Does this Trait ignore the Void Transmigrant trait? Because if not then why would we get it?

I assume we can buy one in Kumo then?

Wires are a good tool for us, but I don't feel it is something to build everything around. Lets perfect the Discharge Style.

Except he is a four-eight year old and from an enemy village.

Eh, I don't think you can make a style out of that. That's much like our Discharge style thing, far more a trick than a consistent style, and,IMO, far inferior if we are going to make a style out of it.

Not enough time. We are six.

Link for anyone to lazy to look for platypus post:

Meh, I'm okay the wire training reminds me of Walter from Hellsing though. If we really want to fight against stronger ninjas with wires we need to get some really durable wire or learn some fuinjutsu.

Thanks for linking it. As for the wires I see them as a temporary measure. Right now they provide a good way to deliver shocks, but later on more advanced lighting jutsu will probably make them obsolete. I mean we could try to keep them relevant by getting some chakra conductive wires and taking advantage of lighting's vibrating effect, but that would probably be an inefficient use of our time and money.

I like what you are thinking. Methinks we should go with Bloodborne-style themes once we get enough Genjutsu.
Also I am thinking about a partial body flicker. Is it possible to greatly increase speed of only one part of our body? Like the hand which is going to punch opponent's face? Also - what makes Body-Flicker and Substitution predictable? Is it the fact that oponents can feel the chakra and instantly find us? If not for that they should be among ultimate melee techniques.

Isn't chakra flow a technique you can use with any material? It's definitely better with chakra metal, but both Naruto and Asuma demonstrated Wind's sharpness increase on ordinary kunai. (Asuna's throw pierced through stone.)

Taijutsu you can increase to a base maximum rank of 4. Ranks beyond that you have to gain in a specific style which will have situational advantages and disadvantages. You are only using the generic standard kumo taijutsu style atm. You have the Discharge Strike variant, but that's not a style that's just me saying you dump an electric charge into someone on skin contact :p

Does this work for Bukijutsu as well? Like to get skill above 4 you need to choose a particular weapon? We have Adaptable Weapon Fighter, so for us the one weapon skill can be substituted for the other, albeit with some penalties at higher levels.

Actually, I think I like this mechanics. After 4th level every level (or every two) you choose a specialization: you get +1 to skill in some cases and -1 in others (or maybe some other penalties/bonuses). It would help greatly in creation of a unique character.
