I'm surprised nobody picked the Dark Horde. It's one of the best-positioned factions for several reasons. Can y'all guess what they are?

There is no Alterac lol, just the Syndicate which I doubt anyone will ever let rejoin the alliance! So not the best faction to play.

Being Rubbish? Surrounded on all sides? About to feel the pain from Bronzebeard, or Redridge mountains?
I was tempted to give you the Dark Horde but I was worried about your reaction.

Also I'm surprised no one has taken Alterac.
Honestly Alterac was never that important.

I wouldn't have minded. They were my second choice. But I always liked uprooting my whole city and moving it behind allied buildings in WC3.

They're attacked from all sides with really no viable allies. Even as a PC, a good push by the Alliance will see them annexed in less than a year and a half.

Their only two major threats (Ironforge, Stormwind) have to deal with other issues for the first few turns. Wildhammers are protecting two unconnected stripes of land, hardly in a position to attack. The Dark Irons are an easy target for early expansion.

There are plenty of Troll and Ogre factions they can rectruit over time. They have some powerful friends in right places. But most importantly, they are actually as strong as the Horde (5 armies total) but unlike all the other factions a player could pick, they effectively start with a regeneration rate of 1(Dragonmaw+Blackrock Spire) army per turn, unlike others who only get 0,5.

ummmm I am pretty sure as the dark Horde you don't get the Dragonmaw lol!

also not on topic but @Ceslas the horde really should not control Azshara.... that should either be Naga territory for a faction of them, or mixed control between night elves and Horde.

Also you really should have added the Tauren, Barrens, and Mulgore into this in my opinion.

Dragonmaw Clan: The remnants of the once-mighty Dragonmaw Clan, they had no interest in obeying the upstart Thrall, successor of the backstabbing Doomhammer. They serve the true WarChiefs, Rend and Maim of the black Tooth Grin Clan, who now rule form atop Black Rock Spire. With the dwarves' eyes on the north, they have manged to seize much of the Twilight Highlands for themselves and even now scheme to drive out the remaining Wildhammers and march on Ironforge. Perhaps, one day, they will be strong enough to deal with the rebellious Red Dragonflight that infests their former capital of Grim Batol...

Horde-Night Elf borders are somewhat fluid at this point. One does what one can. I am willing to listen to an appeal if Orwelans or Terrafirm want to make one.

As for the Tauren one of the Horde's first duties will be linking up with them in Mulgore.

You know I really think the highlands should be much more divided considering theres Twilight Hammer Cult there who serve Cho'gall and Red Dragonflight remnants that are friendly to the Wildhammers. But still they hodl Grim Batol

true but that just means you may get to use their armies if no player takes them over! If someone does all they get is an ally.

The Twilight's Hammer is working with the Dragonmaw Clan for the time being and thye aren't as strong as they are. The red dragons aren't on the map but they do hold Grim Batol.

A couple of questions regarding Grim Batol, is it possible to get at it underground currently, and are the Skardyn still below it?

Edit: also the unchosen factions are NPC's for the moment, like the Ogres to my north and the Dark Horde to my south?

You know it seems odd that in none of the lore I've read have I seen evidence that after losing to the Old Gods and being enslaved did the Elemental Lords ever really seem to rebel, either individually or as a group.

Edit: Oh and Ceslas, were you planning on making a discord channel for the game?

And reading more of the WoW lore, man is it ever apparent when they went back and retconned things to create ever increasing stages of stronger, more eviller badguys behind the scenes, and then behind the behind the scenes, and then behind THOSE scenes.
