WARHAMMER 40,000: ROGUE TRADER: FALLEN SUNS (40k roleplaying on the farthest frontiers)

[X] This travasty must be stopped. We cannot risk them pulling too far ahead. We will plunge into the inner system like an avenging angel and strike them from ambush. Let us see what these pulse lances can do.

Zeph is called he a few times there, was that deliberate or a mistake?

Oh, fuck these sorry fuckers. Time for them to meet the murderblender of naval combat that is Emil Vendigroth Scourge!

Is there anything more quintessentially teenaged than angsty brooding? Survey says no!

Bleh. I had a very fun write-in that made sense until I realized that the First is with Em, so Junie can't make the entirely understandable mistake of asking Xoti for advice.

What's the target number for Em to make a Charm check? :V
you can also have a fucking ludicrous shot grouping with your pistol even if it kicks like a mule, cause it's not kicking like a mule in your grip.
That's a Vindicare's job. And somewhat ironically, Vindicares are the best suited to games like DH or RT, because their schtick is Hugegun McShootsgood. (Well, that'd actually be Vanus, but like three people care about Vanus because Vanus assassins don't have a model. And the fact that the favored weapon of the Vanus temple is stochastic terrorism hits differently. "The cleanest kill is one that another makes in your stead with no knowledge of your incitement.")

Also I see that the Harlies are not Silent Shroud. Still hoping for some Soaring Spite. Because the other option is Veiled Path, and Veiled Path has a distressing tendency to do things that are incredibly helpful for Chaos in the short-term.

I'm now wondering what the equivalent of listening to Nirvana is for Imperial noble scions.

It'll be even odds once one of the ships explodes, and we can take even odds. Essentially, we've already won.

My own understanding of the setting (I.E, the way the setting should be) is that, despite what you may think, having incredible strength and superhuman reflexes are good for both melee *and* ranged combat. If you can bend steel, you can also have a fucking ludicrous shot grouping with your pistol even if it kicks like a mule, cause it's not kicking like a mule in your grip.

What Evesors don't do, though, is *reload* - hence why they have so many guns and swords and knives and stabbers.

Cause reloading is time where they can be killing.
Kinda late, but apparently the Eversors auspex allows the to both have 360° vision circle and the ability to see through walls.

Now you may think that's silly and cause them to bump into walls, but when you can Kool Aid Man through almost any wall you're fine.

1), as long as the assassin's brain and hearts (yes, plural) remain alive/functioning their enhanced immune system prevents them from being killed by their own drugs and enhancements, because you don't spend this much making somebody into a weapon to only use them once.
I'm not sure if it's old lore, but I seem to remember that Eversors had a specific drug circulating through their veins that prevented some of the chemicals from mixing and the stopping of the heart was what caused the chemicals to combine and go kablooey. Again, dumb yet fun.

We're moping and we're sneaking!

I need a RUNNING SILENT check! This will be using Ryia's piloting skill, with a +47 bonus!

...yes, you heard me, this is an Eldar ship, BABYEEE

I will not be writing the update tonight because I'm sleepy

Hold on... I think that may actually pass...
Ryia has 55 agility, is trained in Piloting and DC said it's plus 47.
That gives us a bare success.
Might still be worth a re-roll if it's an opposed check.

@DragonCobolt - Does Ryia's "Piractical Flourish" talent apply to starship combat? 😈😎

Yeah, Fate Point that for sure. Should I go ahead and roll, or should we wait for more votes still?

How do you do spoiler text? This quest has inspired me to do make a 40k version of the song National Brotherhood week, but it would probably have to be spoilered for length
