[X] Unconventional Warfare : Catch a Conscience
-[X] Psychic ability is a pathway to many things one would consider unwise, and this action is certainly among those. Curse our dear interrogator with flashes of divinatory revelation, glimpses of the alternate world where some past choice had ended up with her, here, among the cult's members. What would do? What would she think? What would she look like? What would she feel? Visions, so tempting that you need to keep watching, to find who's doing this to you, and perhaps join them
-[X] The interrogator expects the cult to lose cohesion, which on the ground would mean losing assets, protection contracts, shady deals. Rival gangs moving in. And wouldn't you know it, you just got a friendly rival gang.

Also, further suggestion to Catch a Conscience:
-[] Arrange for the interrogator to be socially isolated before the operation. The great houses of Thedas probably won't like someone sniffing around in their affairs, so it shouldn't be hard to suggest them that thankful for the intervention they are, they don't want to take her obviously precious time with their social events. For all her training, she's still human, and when humans are isolated, they will be more open for... new connections. Especially new connections that listen, empathize and understand how hard it is to fight a lonely war against the dark for the sake of people who will either never know of your contributions or even resent them. @DragonCobolt opinion?

@10ebbor10, @jamie96969, @CynicalCoffee, @DracoDracul, @Chimeraguard, @wanje, @Hunter531 would you mind adding the second paragraph, just so we're all on the same page?
These kind of additions feel like a traditional trap SV falls into, where subpoints are used to cheat the system, by overspecifiying, expanding actions, and altering stuff. It results in massively overwrought plans, and in choices that aren't meaningfull at all because someone tried to write in an "all of the above action".
What you're doing basically tacking on an entirely different second action.
=> Specifically, you're doing an Attack Interrogator's Influence.

I can't answer the first thing, since it's feels-based, but for the second I'd argue that since Unconventional Warfare is explicitly a freeform action stat-wise, I don't see why bringing in Influence, both ours and hers, would be forbidden. I also see no narrative flaws. What I'm suggesting is not nice, true, but I don't think there's a reason why operation to tempt Interrogator to our side would not involve doing everything we can to make our plant someone she trusts, and arranging social isolation helps in that.

Your achieving a different goal with different resources and a different strategy. Like, ideally we'd also divest the Interrogator from her military resources, but if we tried this simultanously with a military attack you would get how those are two seperate actions, no?
Also, what plant? The plan does not involve a plant.

If I understand your plan correctly, the goal is to slowly bring the Interrogator to the Cult's side by giving here psychic visons of could-have-beens. This will require placing a cult psyker (what I call a plant) in her vicinity. I don't know what form of Cult's resources you want to muster for this reason, since the type of action does not specify that, so I guessed it would involve some of our social capabilities. I thought about other things we can do to improve the plan and I thought that tapping those social capabilities further to isolate Interrogator and make her more vulnerable to our actions should be possible to do as a part of the operation. So I guess it might be a different strategy, but that's because I involve a bit more of our assets, not because I'm trying to achieve something fundamentally different.
Unless there's a mistake I'm making somewhere. In which case I'd appreciate being corrected.

So, normally, Unconventional Warfare will permanently reduce a Company's statistic. For you, that's the most likely outcome. however, if you manage to not get noticed, pull the mission off, and exfiltrate, you will get...the WHOLE MANILA. An Interrogator can do terrible, terrible damage - and a Kissed Interrogator will be an excellent cats paw!
The process goes
1) They roll their Influence+Sov to see if they detect your conspiracy.
2a) They don't know you're active, so you roll Might+Influence+2d+MD vs their Might+Sovereignty - if you win, you Kiss the Interrogator
2b) If they DO know you're active, same roll but it becomes dynamics - if their set goes before yours, then they not only prevent the Kiss, but also damage your Influence.
3) Either way, roll Might+Influence+2d+MD again (note, this counts a second use, so your two stats are eroded by 1d each) vs their Might+Territory. If you succeed, you get out clean. If you fail...you get caught, people are executed, and you lose 1 Influence permanently. A named character WILL DIE!!!
Lets start with their roll!
Aight, the Interrogator is aware of your plan, and she's going to try and counter-capture the Magus. This means you won't get the full manila - since her preparations to catch you mean that...
...wait.
Fuck!
I forgot, her Influence was reduced from finding you, ignore the first roll.
Okay, that's just mean, she got an even better informed roll, lol. 3x9.
Ss, yes, since she is aware of the plan and is trying to counter-capture the Magus, you won't be able to completely secretly take over the whole inquisitorial detachment. But you still have a chance to bring her into the Cult's fold (thus, harming their Sovereignty immensely!)
EDIT: Wait...I fucked up the rules, lol, you actually get a roll to remain concealed from their Influence+Sov! So, you get a Influence+Treasure roll with +4d+MD! Why +4d? Because of your DEFENSIVE PSYKERS, YEAH! Since the Interrogator would be using her psychic powers to sense this threat. I remembered you had an asset before you rolled!
So, to be clear, you need to roll 9d+MD against their 3x9. If you beat their roll, you will stay nice and secret. Then you move on to 2a. Otherwise, on to 2b.
EDIT 2: "Why 9d+MD?" The biggest a dice pool can be in Reign 2e is 10 dice! And the more you know~
So, to be clear, you need to roll 9d+MD against their 3x9. If you beat their roll, you will stay nice and secret. Then you move on to 2a. Otherwise, on to 2b.
Yeah, to pontificate, width is speed and power, while height is skillfulness and precision. So, in situations like this, you want height because your dice gobble theirs - are you good enough at secrecy to stop her. Being *faster* at being secret doesn't really matter, it's a question of "will you be secret enough."
Meanwhile, a roll that is directly opposed, in there, speed can matter a lot. Getting 3x8 versus a 2x10 means that while their trap is elegant and well laid, your attack still goes off before they can stop you.
All right, another 2x10! Now, do we go unnoticed? That's another roll, but at -1d (5d+MD in total) for you and -2d for them (the reason why is your might is already at 0, it cannot be reduced further)
EDIT: Wait, you got an MD, they got no sets, I don't need to wait for your roll, lol
EDIT 2: Since your various stats are pretty fucking low, is it safe to assume you will take the rest of the month off (every company that is involved in the genestealer plot has been pretty badly mauled and is taking it easy too.)
