Warcraft: The Rise of the Mag'har

Garrosh: I'm going to kill them. Then I'm going to bring them back and kill them again.
Human: I thought priests were peaceful people.
Garrosh: I'm an Orc Priest. We weren't given healing powers to make others stop fighting.

[X] The Warmaul are fresh. Too fresh. Too untested. And Cho'war is boastful and proud. Let them rush in first, and move in behind them. They want battle? They feel that they have been cooped up too long in their hills? Let them be disabused of that notion.

Hm.......Cho'war might need to be....replaced later on if he tries to go against us. Preferably by the Shaman.

I don't like having to use this option, since our troops are a little ragged. We probably could have planned better previously to have fewer fights in one turn, but we had our reasons for not doing so, and it's academic now anyway. The entire purpose of this venture is to build some respect, camaraderie, and authority with the Warmaul ogres, so this is the route we need to take. Having Dranosh and Garrosh both present should help mitigate any issues we may have.
Probably.

We would've had to put this off for another turn though. As the option wasn't available last turn and the only other Martial option possible this turn was to fight the Horde instead.

"He'll never properly ally with you, you know," Zorbo suddenly says from next to you, having declined to follow his 'King' towards the entrance. "He's too proud. Too strong."
...and we can't exactly betray him due to our cultural development so far.

Oh well, the wind blows and the water flows. Hollow as this alliance may be, we follow where the elements go.

Those that are awake and ware enough to respond are up quickly
aware
"Of course, my King," the now named Zorbo bows, both heads locking forward with gazes looking down. "My apologies.
Add end quote at end.
Those that could be brought back, either because their bodies were too damaged
couldn't
nd you assume he prefer you not speaking about his criticisms
'he would prefer'

Holy shit Garrosh.

Seriously he pulled off a high tier Light spell like that despite the fact he has technically only been a priest/paladin/whatever for a relatively short time.
Honestly, The Iron Will should probably be a trait of his. His father had the whole chained to a tree and starved and such to the edge of death while still defiant thing, and Garrosh himself - for all his faults - still could maintain himself while caked in an Old God's essence which had corrupted and crushed the will of almost literally everyone else it tainted. I'll probably add that in a bit.
That is a very good point. Garrosh has tons of determination and willpower if nothing else which he likely does get from his father.
"He respected the gronn too…and I watched as he broke them apart, piece by piece, with his hammer. Still, we have been proven wrong before. I would not be surprised if it happened again."
Damn, well there went that plan.

Cho'war is simply too prideful and has too much a conqueror's spirit to willing work with others.

On the other hand Zorbo is reasonable, realizes the faults of his 'king', and even has the support of the Furies. Would not mind if Cho'war died and he took over.

Cho'war wants to fight so bad let him and he can possibly die in assault if we are lucky.

On a totally different note expect having to deal with religious issues in future between Shamans and Light users due to whole conflicting beliefs about reviving the recently dead.

@torroar has this really never came up before with the Draenei throughout all orc history with them and recently with efforts to be more close with them? Would think it would come up at some point but could be mistaken.

Assuming the shaman is telling the truth of course.

It's possible that Cho'War is an abrasive prideful asshat but fully intending to honour the alliance and Zorbo is a lying snake making a power play.

I personally do not think this is the case, but it should still be considered.

Can I hope (and Pray) that Cho'war catches a case of death by Pride?

That is a good point and not like ogres are incapable of being sneaky since they ran an empire at some point and likely had tons of intrigue involved.

Just have to see how this event ends and then we work from there.

Agreed.

I think the main hangup is the ogres are worried the orcs are going to use the ogres as disposable soldiers again? aka, let all the ogres do all the fightin while the orcs stay back.

Yeah, is it any surprise that Garrosh makes a fantastic proto-Paladin?

The same things that made him a terror in the OTL haven't gone away, given good teachers and not shoved through a conga line of stuff he's just not ready for? It's no surprise that he's got the potential to be legendary.

I mean, for fuck's sake, he mainlined an Old God's heart's blood in the OTL and was never corrupted by it. And the Light is all about surety of purpose.

Their turn to take casualties.

Not sure if I trust Zorbo here. Time will tell.

Nobody tell Garrosh about Paladins. Or do, he might be more inclined towards them considering that they're one of the primary reasons why the original Horde was driven back on Azeroth.

Pretty sure Garrosh already knows about Paladins and at least Draenei Vindicators which are their version of it.

Not sure why he is focusing on being a priest but could be he wants to focus on understanding the Light first.

The funniest thing would be if this Garrosh ends up mentoring Anduin instead of Velen. The sheer wtfness will be entertaining.

Ironically a more compatible outlook with Varian, despite the whole Orc gladiator thing, than Velen's. Also if we support the Draenei sufficiently the Exodar might never leave TK. Pretty plausible.
