New United Nations Department of Interstellar Research and Communication (Acolytes of Eternity)
Location: Oort Cloud
Population: Minor Enclave [Production Bonus]
Advantages: 4 (-6) Engine of Pride, Human Plus, Visitor Reclaimers, Activation Ubiquity, Adapted to [Kuiper Belt]
Disadvantages: 3 (+3) Cursed by Space, Engine of Disaster, Islands in Space
Prosperity: 2 (-1)
Our people are blessed to be able to enjoy this wealth so far beyond the warmth of Sol. The cleansing scent of orange in the air from Scrubbers, and the plentiful tankfood allows a sense of homeyness underneath the elaborate starscapes projected from the ceiling.
Wealth Rating: 1 (-1) Wealth Rating 45
There is no wealth beyond knowledge to be found here. We are comfortable with our existence, and do not see the need for Material Things. (Will sell superweapons for new entertainment systems.)
Infrastructure: 3 (-3) Construction Rating 110
To survive in the vast interstellar void between the Inner Cloud and Sol Proper, we have had to develop everything we have ourselves. Thankfully we managed to requisition a Factory Ship or two.
Military support: 1 (-1)
While there are few threats that could get out into the lands of the Acolytes, the constant threat of Imperial Invasion and the wishes of the Keepers assure constant funding. Rumors of the Keepers only being funded to ensure that our Engine doesn't destroy something are completely unfounded.
Military Quality: 2 (-3)
We are the Acolytes of Eternity. Our Keepers may not look fearsome, but they are built to be the next generation of Humanity, capable of taking on any threat with cunning and powers beyond belief.
Engine Size: 1 (-2)
The Unyielding Promise, the glorious ship at the heart of everything we do. In her arms we find a future, but unfortunately there have become issues. The ship since we found it has whispered to those who try to access it, but within the past months it has begun to act even stranger, morphing, bending, warping on the inside while all the time crying out with communication systems we don't yet understand. The High Commisioners are worried, but we cannot dare to harm the very symbol of everything we are and will become.
Engine complexity: 2 (-4)
The Unyielding Promise has taught us much, a mechanism without equal in it's complex abilities.
Homeland Support: 0 (0)
We had contacts. They no longer have heads unfortunately, which has hindered our efforts. Even our contacts in America are... strenuous at best.
Visitor Adaption: 2 (-6)
We have integrated the words of the Promise into our daily lives and made it's vision ours.
