Armsmaster tilts his head to a stack of paper on the table, which starts being passed around. "Next point of order, the analyses. Keep in mind that speech analysis is not standard procedure for a reason. It's imperfect, and it can be fooled. It's entirely possible it has been fooled. Still, in combination with Gallant's power, it should give us some indication."

There's a weird feeling, like a small vacuum in your insides, a hollowness, a shortness of breath that has nothing to do with breathing. It's... it's not nice. Betrayal? What? What did she do?
Guessing that either A: She's been compelled (or felt compelled) to do something we wouldn't like.
B: She's done something 'for the greater good' or whatever that we would see as a betrayal.

...that said, what the 'betrayal', real or perceived, actually is... yeah I don't have a clue.

Also Ass is a good friend. C:

[x] Blood and death, the world aflame, humanity in ruins and one man, no, one GOD above it all. Zion, the promised land, more a 'place' than a person, an Entity/Colony of a thousand thousand individuals the size of planets who warp reality to their whims. Humanity stands alive over the Golden One's corpse, and at the Dawn of the New Age humanity is left with a permanent scar. The echoes of the Golden Morning shall be heard for millenia. And if but a single soul hears of it, the odds of survival shift beyond what can be seen. None must know until Her voice speaks it.

My little tidbit of Skye learning about the Golden Morning, after Nimue's prompt.

Or it could be even more devious than that, she could have done it to someone else. She only talked about something she recognized as betrayal. She mentioned betrayal to whom

"I know, right?" You secure your hold on Dennis and Mist. "Missing my true calling. You're all lucky I'm nice."

I like this running joke of our intended villainous career. I'm hoping in the future we get mistaken for a villain in comic situations (which would have been the best part of Butcher Skye, if we did manage to stay as a Hero somehow. Like "No no, ignore the skulls they're all fake I just had to shut up some head voices and also it was funny".)

My money's on Mist being a Cauldron Cape.

[X] Escort Avalon during the day. Being in the public eye isn't exactly your forte, but you've already been seen with a member of Avalon, and it might be interesting to meet the less shady capes of the city. Plus, you have some questions...

Hey, @Lyova We haven't seen much of the Empire. What have they been doing while Skye was off doing her thing in Boston? Or...in general, really?

They don't seem to have been raising much of a fuss. Them or the Merchants or ABB. I'm curious what a bunch of White Supremacists think about Flying Red Space Squiddle.

Nothing out of the ordinary! Empire's occupied with Coil, the ABB is secure in the Docks while being pestered by the Undersiders. The Merchants are busy being insignificant, selling drugs in areas no one cares about. Everyone's enjoying the quiet, relatively profitable status quo. A newbie in the Protectorate hasn't affected that yet.

On a personal level, the gangs have no reason to care about Skye, though if you repeat your ruthless Boston performance, you'd be giving them a reason. Best decide how much you want to antagonize the gangs you have to share a city with! :p

What is PR's take about a literal glitterbomb? How well would the villains receive such an attack?

The idea is for the attack to be annoying. Of COURSE they'll get all the glitter out before the day's over, but it'll take hours and hours of careful washing and rinsing to do so. Annoying as FUCK!

My theory on the betrayal/guilt: Mist knows about c53s and feels guilty about not telling her about it. Not sure if that checks out, but it would explain things.

Burglars have sued people for shooting them and won. You think war crimes will get more leniency?

I'm starting to think that maybe Mist knew Skye before she became a c53, and feels like she betrayed her because she downplayed the danger of the vial when they went in together or something; Similar to Nix and Nyx. Could she be the same woman at Skye's reveal/press conference who asked her if she was happy or not?

Probably not, but it's fun to think so :p
