[X] Notify Red that in light of his objections Interrogation of the captive is to be left to the heroes.
[X] swipe some semi trucks and go loot/occupy that abandoned base. have director pull some basic wards of the internet to slap on our gear before heading out. Have Minsuh use illusions to hide the trucks.
[X] see if any of the other groups resisting the invasion are talking. we might be able to trade intel and tactics.
(Director is on 3, but nothing to report at the moment)
"Well, Revan finally decided to strike out on his own." Beatrix mutters to the two other heroes in the safe-house as the transmission ends. "I'm honestly surprised the alliance lasted this long."
Shade shrugs from her perch. "He's a dick." That summed up her thoughts on the matter.
Captain Red laughs quietly. "Well, I had hope. Shame." He turns towards the captive. It was sleeping now. "I will not compromise myself for a victory."
"I don't blame you." The blonde states quietly as she fiddles with some sort of contraption. "Not as if our captive knows anything recent. That would be what we really need now."
"Why are we keeping it then?" The stealth hero asks quietly.
Beatrix pauses and thinks for a moment. "I don't think we need to. By the way, why are you still referring to her as it?"
Captain Red coughs, slightly embarrassed. "It's not a she."
"He?" Beatrix tilts her head.
"No." The male hero turns away and stares at a wall.
"What, it's a hermaphrodite?" The next question is bluntly asked.
"Nope." Red continues to look away. He seems rather embarrassed.
"Then what sex is it?!" The heroine finally demands.
"Neuter apparently." Captain Red states in reply. "Don't ask how I found that one out."
"Huh?" Beatrix blinks a few times and looks at the captive. "What the hell...?" She shakes her head. "No, I'm not thinking about freaky alien boinking. I'm NOT." She very deliberately turns back to her tech. "We are moving in five minutes. The captive can stay here. It can leave on it's own."
The other two heroes nod.

New Skill Possible
Ritualism - The 'technical' side of magic. Where general magic requires talent and can be cast in an instant, this is the building side of it. It requires no real 'power' magic wise, but it doesn't hurt.
1 - Effects roughly the half the size of a person can be produced
2 - A small room can be effected
3 - A building
3 - A city
(The above counts as a 'building' skill, so you get a bonus at lv 1)
Barrier - A sigil that grants a small magical 'shield' around it. This shield has a metaphysical weight which allows it to block spirits, telepathy, scrying, and other dimensional effects. Physical effects go right through it. It is dispelled when the lines are broken or marred. Can be carved, drawn, or painted.

It's a matter of moments to get a few vehicles and wards. The wards are simple things sketched on each of your bots. Nothing that will stand up to a concentrated assault, but it will provide warning, and let them at least partially hurt anything mystical.
Minsuh thinks they are cute. Unfortunately you can't get anything better on such short notice and frankly it's your first time stepping on the magical side of the world.
That done, you take thirty dumbbots and ten bruiserbots with you. Minsuh comes along as well. She's your only heavy hitter in this matter actually. Anit and Brilliance are staying in the city to monitor the situation.
Unfortunately even with the quick preparations it takes most of the day to get out of the city, and you are on the road at night. You get some sleep while the bots drive, and arrive there in the morning.
The base is off the road, but not out of sight. You can see metal walls in the distance. Minsuh pops up next to you with a frown as you try to decide how to go about this.
"I smell human ghosts." She states quietly. "A fair amount of them."
"And that means?" You trail off leadingly.
"Insubstantial things." She replies. "Scary more than anything else, but they cause cold when they hit, and are very hard to properly remove.' She tapps on her lips in thought. "I can eat one or two, but in those numbers it would be like diving into a pool of piranha."
"So what are our options?" She's the expert in this you guess.
"Leave?" You give her a flat look at that. "I THINK the bots will be fine, but depending on how smart the ghosts are they might not be. A ghost can't hit the real world that well, but they can move just enough to break things. You can find why they are occupying the base, and 'reason' with them."
Minsuh makes a sour face at that last part and you raise an eyebrow, requesting clarification.
"Ghosts have reasons for haunting." She sighs. "I don't know why you would have a lot here, but likely something in the past caused a lot of death, and they are re-enacting the scene. In this case you vow to remove the cause and the ghosts will leave."
"Not many options." You comment.
Minsuh winces slightly. "I could attempt to fight them, but I would need the bots to help. And it's no guarantee. Illusions don't work that well against ghosts."
