Izuku excuses himself from Uraraka and Iida when he notices that Johansen and Yaoyorozu are about to walk away to their platform. "Johansen! Yaoyorozu-san!"
They turn around immediately, Johansen's cat ears swiveling to better catch Izuku's voice as Yaoyorozu reaches a hand up to tuck some of her hair behind an ear. "Midoriya-kun? What is it?" She asks as she politely holds the case with her costume in front of her knees. "Is something the matter?"
Johansen just looks at Izuku expectantly, and the ninth holder of One For All takes that as his cue to continue. "I-it's just that, I was wondering how your trip to McDonald's went!"
"I think it went well." Yaoyorozu smiles. "Even if we were accosted by an unpleasant person near the end, I thoroughly enjoyed myself." Behind her Johansen starts rubbing one of his cat ears in an agitated fashion, a touch of pink coloring his cheeks.

Saturday.
Momo studies the McDonald's that Johan had picked out intently, taking careful note of the decorations on the outside and the people eating and walking around inside. The restaurant did look like the kind of eatery that the working class would frequent in movies and anime, with slight traces of wear and tear visible to the trained eye. And her 「Technologic」, of course.
The restaurant is sandwiched between a shoe store and a hairdresser's salon, neither of which warrant more than a moment of attention as the two of them walk through the doors below the big yellow 'M'. The inside is filled with an unfamiliar odor. It is not unpleasant, per se, but it is definitely pungent.
She looks around as Johan leads the way to a row a cashiers, this restaurant seems to lack a proper greeter (or waiting staff for that matter), taking note of the people in there. The patrons are for the most part families with small children and teenagers Momo and Johan's age, though there is the odd lone adult here and there. It is a buys time of the day, it seems, for only a quarter of the tables are free.
Johan, by virtue of being the first to reach a free cashier, orders first. "I would like a plain Big Mac, please. Double fries." Plain?
The young woman, maybe four years older than Johan and Momo, is quick to nod. "Of course, sir. Would you like something to drink?"
The catboy spends a moment to think about it. "A medium cola, please."
He steps aside to let her order, and catches her looking at him. "What? I like plain burgers." He pouts defensively.
Momo shakes her head. "That's not it. I just didn't recognize the term 'Plain Big Mac'." She points to the menu above the cashier's head. "I can tell what a Big Mac is from the menu, but what is a 'Plain Big Mac'?"
Johan nods in understanding even as he shuffles awkwardly. "Ah, yes. It means that I do not want anything on my hamburger. No cheese, vegetables or sauce. Just the meat and bread. And ketchup, but I will add that myself once we get our food."
So Johan has tastes similar to Grandfather? Or is it just hamburgers? He did eat his sushi with a more rice than is normal…
Momo takes a moment to consider her order before she looks back at the cashier with a bright smile. "One of everything, please!"
"What."
She allows herself an internal giggle since both Johan and the cashier had spoken at the same time. "I said I would like one of all your main courses, please. My Quirk makes it a non-issue, so please don't be worried."
The woman behind the counter just looks at her for a second before she begins inputting their orders. "W-would you like something to drink with that, miss? Or some fries?"
"I would like a medium cola and a bottle of water, if possible." The main courses come with their own cups of French fries, so there is no need to order more. "And a second Big Mac course! Plain."
Her 「Technologic」 lets her listen in to the gossiping of the kitchen staff as they wonder about the kind of person who is ordering all this food. Rather rude in her opinion, but her and Johan barely have time to get comfortable leaning on a nearby wall before their orders start to arrive.
Some members of the kitchen staff come out to help the cashier prepare the multiple trays needed to hold the food Momo ordered, but everything is ready within ten minutes of ordering it.
Curiously, one pays for the food immediately after receiving it instead of right before you leave like in the restaurants that Momo is used to.
She turns to Johan with two trays in her arms. "Can you help me carry all this?"
"Sure." The catboy shrugs. His 「Holy Diver」 manifests beside him to carry two of the trays while Johan himself just carries one. Between him, her, 「Holy Diver」 and 「Technologic」 they bring all eight trays to a free table. Judging by the chairs it is intended for six people, but it is the only table big enough to hold all of the food Momo ordered.
Momo idly chews on a chicken nugget as Johan prepares his plain Big Mac, exploring the taste while her friend carefully spreads a packet of ketchup evenly on each disk of meat (a 'patty', was it?). With that done he rebuilds the double hamburger and begins to eat.
She puts the box with the chicken nuggets to the side once she is finished with them and reaches for the bowl of grilled chicken salad. Johan hasn't even looked at his French fries yet, are they supposed to be saved for last? Whatever the case, he is just halfway through his Big Mac.
By the time he has finished it Momo has already put the bowl off to the side and, while still munching on a leaf of spinach, taking hold of the wrapped bundle of meat, eggs and vegetables that the receipt named a 'sausage burrito'.
"…Where do you put everything…?" Johan whispers, two packs of salt held forgotten in his hands. His eyes never leave her as she eats, alight with fascination.
"My fat tissues are a lot denser than the human baseline thanks to my Quirk. And if it becomes an issue I can just practice until it isn't." Momo explains between bites of her food. "My metabolism also acts a lot faster than normal, at least the parts where the food is broken down and stored within the body."
"…huh." He mumbles back before he empties two packs of salt into the first pack of French fries. By the time he has finished the first pack she has already taken her first bite of the 'Quarter Pounder'.
It is not that Momo is scarfing her food down, far from it. It tastes good, but not that good. It is just that his attention is more on her than his food at the moment. She catches him staring and he hurries to put salt onto his second pack.
*
When they are done eating they turn to what is left of their drinks. Johan, having the least to eat, finished first despite Momo's prodigious pace, and so it is that they sip their drinks between companionable bursts of conversation.
"-and other than reading I enjoy golf, swimming and practicing with my Quirk and the tools it creates." Momo explains before she stops to think. "Although, recently I have discovered an interest in genealogy and archaeology, as well as some study of less hard sciences." The last part is delivered with a small smile towards Johan, who takes it as his signal to speak.
He rubs the scar on his left palm. "Well, you know I like magical items and things that are important to Stand User history." He blinks. "Now that I am talking about it, we never did look through my collection, did we?"
Oh right, she had wondered if he had time during Golden Week, hadn't she. "I don't have time tomorrow." She ponders out loud. "Maybe when we get back from Edge Shot's agency?"
Johan nods. "We will have to. I am going to be busy tomorrow-" His eyes shoot open and his back goes ramrod straight.
Startled, Momo momentarily forgets 「Technologic」 and whips her head around, coming face to face with Johan in a long skirt.
Wait. A closer look reveals that it isn't Johan, just a catgirl that looks just like him. "Um…"
"Hello there." The odd catgirl says in accented English. "Do you mind if I take a seat?"
"Berit, what are you doing here?" Johan snaps in the same language as the other Cat Form Quirk person sits down and pushes a stack of trash-laden trays to the side.
'Berit' lets herself get comfortable in the chair before she answers him. In Norwegian. Johan responds in his native tongue, and their conversation quickly becomes to Momo's ears a blur of rapid fire gibberish and the occasional loan word that she recognizes from English.
A reminder to consider learning Norwegian, perhaps. Momo doesn't know what Johan and his apparent relative is saying, but from their tones of voice and expressions it definitively doesn't sound like it is anything good-!
Her right hand shoots to her left forearm, where the feeling of something with sharp teeth nibbling on her has suddenly appeared. The lightly nipping teeth instantly transfer to her right hand, and Momo cannot help but hiss in pain as small, red cuts appear on her fingers.
And then the teeth disappear, and it is only 「Technologic's」 superhuman senses that let Momo catch a glimpse of something sliding across the table. It looks like an extremely flat, grey manta ray.
No. it is the 「Shadow of a Manta Ray」!
Momo turns to look accusingly at the Norwegian catgirl, 「Technologic」 manifesting behind her. Johan's relative doesn't do anything other than smirk. "What do you think of my 「From Shadows」?" The shadow manta ray is joined by at least ten others, all of them 'swimming' on their User's skin and clothes.
A black blur lashes out, slicing a small cut on Berit's forehead. Even 「Technologic's」 with help Momo just barely catches 「Holy Diver」 demanifesting back into Johan. The catboy looks absolutely livid, and he angrily hisses something in Norwegian while angrily gesturing at the door.
Berit, looking no happier than Johan, nods scornfully in return. The two of them get out of their chairs and head for the door.
"I will be back in a bit. She is just here to talk." He loudly whispers to her in Japanese when he walks past her. His relative scowls and shoots Momo a disdainful, if interested, look before she follows Johan out of the McDonald's, completely ignoring the other patrons of the restaurant as their judging eyes follow her.
*
Johan returns a quarter of an hour later, looking tired and irritable as he sits back down in his chair. He returns to a bare table, for Momo cleaned it in his absence. "Where is our stuff?" He asks sullenly.
"I needed something to do." Momo answers carefully after putting down the strawberry milkshake she bought while he was gone. "So I threw away the trash in the bins and put the trays in the stack over there." She points to a stack of trays sitting atop a bench labeled 'used trays'. Then she takes something out of her bag and slides it to Johan across the table. "I also got you this."
"…eh?" Johan quietly boggles at the can of Chica Cherry Cola in front of him. "But… McDonald's does not sell this!"
"It doesn't." Momo nods. "But I saw a vending machine that did when we walked here from the station. I thought you might need one when you got back."
There is something… weird in Johan's eyes, which remain locked on Momo's face as he reaches out to take the can of Chica Cherry. A fascinating quivering of his lips occurs for a few seconds before he breaks into a wide smile.
"Thank you, Momo." He says as he opens the can with a grin. "You are the 「Best」."
Momo lets herself relax as Johan takes a deep gulp of his favorite soda. They sit like that for a while, enjoying each other's company before Momo dares raise the question. "So… who was that?"
Johan's expression sours instantly. "That was Berit, my older sister." He stops himself and gives Momo a complicated look before he continues:
[] "It might be a problem later, so you should be told."

[] "Some of this is secret, so I cannot give tell you any details, but the gist of it is-"

Upon sleeping on it, I have realized that I made some errors in setting up the vote at the end of this update. I have changed their mechanical effects to be more in line with what they will actually do in the story, so if you want to change your votes, the vote will stay open for about 12-14 hours.
[X] "It might be a problem later, so you should be told."
++++++++++Velvet. --Despair.
Momo waits patiently for Johan's moment of concentration to pass and is rewarded a second later when he continues. "It might be a problem later, so you should be told. Information is life and death to Stand Users, after all."
She leans forward. "Yes?"
Johan clears his throat and drains the last of his Chica Cherry Cola. "Right. My sister was here because my family has figured out that I took one of our family's 「Stand Arrows」with me when I came here. My parents sent Berit here to raise the issue with me, as well as to hear my take on some of the information they have gotten their hands on." He trails off with a frown and a tense jaw, looking at the empty can as if it was it he was eating out with, not her.
Momo's fingers tighten around her near-empty cup of milkshake as she listens, and now that Johan is done she speaks herself. "Do you think they will do anything?" Johan mentioned weeks ago that his family might join the Von Stroheims in going villain, and a magical artifact on the level of a 「Stand Arrow」 is a better reason than a mercenary's paycheck.
He shakes his head. "I do not think it is very likely. I told Berit that I will not be needing it anymore when the school year ends, and that is in the worst case, so they might be willing to wait and see." The can buckles in his grip as he suddenly crushes it. "But if worst comes to worst and they do decide to try something, they will probably give me another chance to give them the 「Arrow」 back first."
She sighs before answering, wishing that she had his confidence. "And if you are wrong."
"I was getting to that." He insists, though his expression softens as he answers. "I am pretty sure I can handle anyone from my family and my German cousins." His voice falls, though Momo can hear every word thanks to 「Technologic」. "As long as they come one at a time."
Johan sits up. "With one exception, but Madame Stroheim would not risk sending her here. Let us instead talk about the Stand that attacked you." He taps the shadow of her cup with his index finger. "Her Stand is called 「From Shadows」. It is a huge Manta Ray-shaped shadow made up of Stand Energy. Its power is that it can split into four smaller manta rays, and they in turn can split into four smaller ones."
He holds up three fingers. "「From Shadows」 can split up three times for a maximum of sixty-four cat-sized manta rays, but when they are split up Berit can only directly control them when they are in the same light that casts her actual shadow. They attack by attacking the shadow of people and objects, which damages the real thing."
「Holy Diver」 reaches out to point at the band-aids on Momo's wrist. "But you probably already figured that part out."
Momo nods, her mind racing with counters and strategies. "I did, but… what are her weaknesses."
Johan smiles a pleased smile before he answers. "The first that comes to mind is that they cannot enter shadows that are bigger than themselves. They also cannot see anything that is not light and dark on the two-dimensional plane, but I think they can also sense vibrations to a limited extent."
"Anything else?"
"They can be destroyed by Stands and their abilities, but more than half of them need to be destroyed before Berit will feel anything but an itch. Even the big one is not all that durable." Johan answers, though he seems lost in thought as he explains. "They are also very single-minded. They will track down anyone Berit tells them to on their own, far out of her range to control them, but they will ignore anyone and anything else if it does not get in their way. This includes things and people that Berit has told them to go after before."
That's useful. "What about speed and strength? You mentioned that 「From Shadows'」 manifestations aren't that durable…" Momo trails off, her brain too busy with speculation.
"They get really fast the smaller they get." He answers. "Not quite as fast as 「Holy Diver」 or 「Technologic」, but definitively fast. The big one is the size of a big car, and is a lot stronger for it."
Momo takes a minute to consider the information she has been given before she sighs and smiles. "Thank you, Johan. I think I have an idea as to how to deal with her if I am attacked again."
Johan tries to wave off her thanks, but the smile on his face is too genuine to suppress. "No problem, Momo." The smile falters a little as his expression becomes considering, but he rallies and pushes on. "By the way, do you mind if I talk about the Von Stroheims I have met here so far? It might be useful later on."
A chance to extend this pleasant excursion? "I would love to."

Present time.
"-and then we stayed and talked about Stands for a while before we went our separate ways home."
Izuku listens attentively as Yaoyorozu finishes her story, nodding along. Johansen is more reserved, loudly not participating in the conversation as he studies the screen with the train schedules while a slight touch of red colors his cheeks.
Suddenly the catboy's eyes focus on a specific entry before he turns to Yaoyorozu. "Momo, our train gets here in four minutes. We need to hurry." He pauses to look at Izuku. "Sorry to cut this short, Midoriya, but we have to go."
Yaoyorozu makes a sound of acknowledgement before she gives Izuku a slight bow of farewell, one that he hurries to return, and then she and Johansen rush to catch their train. He cannot help but smile at their backs as they work their way through the crowd filling the station. They sound like they had a good time this weekend.
A hand falls heavily onto his shoulder, startling him out of his thoughts about Johansen and Yaoyorozu's da-
"Deku!"
He lets out a quick yelp before he whirls around, almost clocking Uraraka upside the head with the briefcase containing his costume before he gets his body under control.
She giggles at the sight of him, 「Crazy Something Normal」 peeking out from under her jacket to join in the fun. But the laughter fades quickly, leaving only worry behind. "Deku, it is about Iida-kun…"
Izuku looks past his best friend (who is a girl!) to his other best friend. Iida spares them the occasional glance, but for the most part the taller boy is busy with staring blankly at the same screen that occupied Johansen just a few minutes ago. He must still be dwelling on his brother, not that Izuku can blame him.
The green-haired hero hopeful swallows as he approaches Iida, who still doesn't turn to fully look at him. "Umm… Iida-kun?"
Iida doesn't answer him, he only inclines his head a little to show that he is listening.
Izuku takes a deep breath, buying time to steady himself and formulate his words. "It's just that, you seem to be in a lot of pain and-"
A train enters the station, coming to a stop right in front of them. Izuku cuts off as he realizes that this is the train Iida said he would be taking to Hosu,
"Don't worry, Midoriya-kun." Iida says over his shoulder as he steps onto the train.
"「Everything will be alright.」"

"And we are sure this is the right address?"
Momo tunes out Johan as she studies the bare walls of the empty reception area of Edge Shot's Hero Agency. The tall building is shaped like a traditional dojo, with replica wood and paper walls intermingling with more traditional office building walls inside of it.
That is all there is in the reception area. No people, and, almost as distressing, no doors. Other than the door they used to enter the building, there is nothing but blank wall for the rest of the room.
"It has Edge Shot's name on the front." Momo mutters back as she wracks her brain as to the point of this. It is obviously a test of some kind, but why would Edge Shot bother setting up all of this? And what is it even supposed to test?
She reaches out with 「Technologic」, sending her Stand through the wall as she walks along it. Johan watches her from one of the reception area's chairs, wordlessly observing her as she examines the walls.
Once she has completed her circuit of the room she has found three hidden doors, one of which has a sign behind it that says 'THIS WAY'. 「Technologic」 only has a range of two meters away from her, so she cannot scout ahead.
"Gotten anywhere?" Asks Johan, who still hasn't moved from his seat. That he is also eating a KitKat bar deserves a short, sensible chuckle (Bakugou would do more, no doubt), but Momo is too focused on the apparent test to indulge at the moment.
"There are three doors." She answers without turning around; instead her 「Technologic」 helpfully points them out for Johan. "One of them has a sign that says that it is the right one. Do you have any thoughts?"
Johan stands up and summons 「Holy Diver」, who picks up both his and Momo's luggage. "I do, and that thought is that I am already sick of this. Let us just knock down walls until we get someone's attention."
In the end they decide to-
[] Follow the corridor with the sign.
++++Velvet. +++Steel.

++++++++++Steel.
[X] Leave the lobby and enter from somewhere else to bypass the test. ++++Velvet. +++++++Steel.
The plan is simple:
Momo will stay right behind Johan, using her 「Technologic」 to scan for traps while both of them hide behind 「Holy Diver's」 bulk. Of course, they will have to get inside first. Her first instinct is to take the door with the sign behind it, but Johan feels too insulted to be convinced and demands an alternative.
"Breaking down walls might be a bit much." He admits as he leads the way out of the lobby and out on the street. Turning around, he points at a row of windows on the second floor, right above a convenient ledge formed where the first floor extends past the upper two stories. "But that does not mean that we have to let ourselves be yanked around like puppets by some pretentious asshole."
"Please don't talk about our employer like that to his face." She mutters as she adjusts the plan to account for them going off the beaten track. Then again, from Edge Shot's reputation the two of them might find another path prepared for them when they break in.
Johan shrugs but doesn't complain. Instead he silently paces in front of Edge Shot's agency with his Stand at his side, likely trying to decide which window to enter the building through.
"If we are going climbing, then…" Momo mumbles to herself before she activates her Quirk. Fabric forms around her legs, from under her skirt all the way to her knees.
Johan, with 「Holy Diver」 ready and waiting, stares at the display. "What are you-" He cuts himself off and flushes. "Right. Skirt. Sorry."
「Holy Diver」 crouches down with its hands together and Johan places a foot in them to allow it to boost him up to the roof. Momo's Stand isn't nearly as strong, but it is enough to follow him up. "We need to find a window with a latch, something that can be opened." She says as they carefully make their way across the traditionally tiled roof, ignoring the staring passersby.
Johan nods back and points to a window, one with a thicker frame than most of them. "That one. I saw someone go out of the others when we came here, so they might come back, but I did not see anyone in there."
Checking the room is as simple as half-sneaking up to the window and having 「Holy Diver」 phase through the wall to look inside. While Momo's 「Technologic」 has sharper senses, the girl of light is also a lot easier to spot should anyone happen to look its way.
"「Holy Diver」 does not see or hear anyone, at least not in the room." Johan mutters after a few seconds of his Stand scanning the room. Momo sees a familiar figure emerge fully into the room to inspect the window.
"It does not look like there are any traps at the window, no wires or anything." Johan continues.
Momo nods, though her eyes narrow. "There might be an alarm in the frame." She warns. "But that might not be turned on during the day, it sounds impractical to call security to deactivate an alarm every time you want to open a window."
Her voice falls into a whisper. "Or they just have really good air conditioning and-"
A click of sliding metal interrupts her as 「Holy Diver」 takes hold of the handle and unlocks the window. It opens from the bottom, smoothly sliding out until the gap is large enough for the two of them to slip through.
Momo closes the window behind her and draws the curtains shut the moment she is inside. Johan, whose cat eyes see just fine in the low light of the empty, unlit office, goes ahead and performs a quick check of the room.
"No traps or security camera." He says after a minute. "How is it looking over there?"
"I can see a wire across the hallway." Answers Momo from by the door, where she moved after Johan declared it safe so that she can scan the hallway outside with her 「Technologic」. "They must have seen us coming when we came up here."
Momo carefully opens the door and steps aside to let 「Holy Diver」 take the brunt of any potential trap. The armored Stand hovers in place for a second before it returns to Johan's side. The catboy slips through the door and into the hallway, with Momo following to take up position on the other side of the door.
They closely inspect the wire. It doesn't seem to connect to anything beside the walls, so it is likely an alarm.
"Other way, then?" Whispers Johan as he turns around to watch their backs.
"It looks like it." Momo agrees before something catches her eye: A floor plan! "Johan, look at this?"
Johan lets out a questioning noise, but he comes over to look. "That is-!"
Momo taps one of the rooms outlined on the laminated paper. "A security room."
It doesn't take much to convince Johan of her idea, and so they set off for the second floor security room.

Shinya Kamihara, known to the world as Edge Shot, the Ninja Hero, is waiting for them when they get there.
"Good enough for amateur work." The Pro Hero declares evenly as he rises from the guard's chair. "But next time you will follow the instructions laid out for you."
Johan clicks his tongue, but doesn't argue back. That's good.
What is less good is the fact that he has yet to recall 「Holy Diver」. The black and white tiger knight with its red stripes is still hovering behind Johan, its bright red visor locked onto their host and employer for the next week.
Whatever the reason for Johan's annoying mistrust of Edge Shot, it is up to Momo to answer him. "Understood, sir."
The man waves her off. "No harm done, we would be having a very different conversation if any had been. Furthermore, you may call me Edge Shot while I am in costume. The same courtesy will be afforded to you, Yaoyorozu-san." He turns to Johan, who is still warily observing Edge Shot from the door. "This extends to you as well, Johansen-san."
"…thank you." Johan mumbles as he dips into a shallow bow. It is barely polite, but Edge Shot doesn't call attention to it.
"You will be given your orientation shortly." Edge Shot calmly announces without missing a beat. "But first:"
He holds up a hand. "Can either of you tell me why I offered the two of you internships at my agency?"
[] Johan doesn't say anything, making her be the one to answer.

"Can either of you tell me why I offered the two of you internships at my agency?"
Momo sighs internally as Johan huffs and takes half a step backwards, ceding the metaphorical floor to her. "According to the message that accompanied the offer you sent me," She replies carefully while studying Edgeshot for any reaction. "You think that I, with my Quirk and my style, can benefit immensely from your guidance."
A bland response, given more to buy time than to answer, but Edgeshot doesn't call attention to it. "And what do you think, Yaoyorozu-san?"
"I think you do want that, but also something else." Momo answers after a second to think. "The most obvious factor would be the fact that we are both Stand Users." She nods towards Johan. "Johan theorized that you might have encountered Stand Users before, and would therefore like to learn more."
Edgeshot takes a moment to mull over her answer before he nods. "Not the entire truth, but otherwise acceptable." The Ninja Hero strides forward, folding his body to pass Momo and Johan without touching them. "Follow me. We will talk while we walk."
Momo meets Johan's eyes, and after sharing their bemusement they turn to follow their temporary employer.
"It is true that I have encountered Stand Users before." Edgeshot says as he leads them out into the corridor. "Two of them, in fact. The first was born with it, or so she claimed, but had never put any work into developing her ability."
Out of the corner of her eye Momo can see Johan narrowing his eyes as the Pro Hero continues. "The second had recently awakened to his power and didn't seem like he knew what he was doing. He was convinced that he had developed a special 'second Quirk'."
The masked man trails off before he stops. "But both of them had this in common:" He says over his shoulder at them. "Their Stand abilities made them utter nightmares to fight. Even with the knowledge gained from the old records of my clan, I barely came out on top."
"Old records?" Johan parrots, suddenly interested.
Edgeshot nods and resumes walking. "Yes. My clan has existed for centuries, and before the rise of Quirks we were retained by the Speedwagon Foundation. Today they are an oil company, but back then-" He cuts himself off and stops walking.
Momo and Johan follow suit a moment later, almost walking into Edgeshot, and are suddenly faced with the piercing scrutiny of the Number Five Hero.
"…No reaction, and not ignorance either." He scans their faces intently. "You know about the Speedwagon Foundation." It isn't a question. "Convenient. That means that I can skip that explanation."
He turns around as if nothing happened, and so the walk continues.
"Because of our work with the Speedwagon Foundation, the details of which will not interest you-" Momo very much doubted that, judging by that cute, incensed pout Johan sported. "-my clan has some familiarity with the supernatural elements of the world. Even before that there were records of our encounters with mystics and sorcerers, but my ancestors had dismissed most of those as legends before we were reintroduced to the secret world."
"But I digress." Edgeshot muses as he leads them down a set of stairs to the first floor. "I knew the common rules that most Stands obey when I fought my first one, but it was not enough to account for one bad habit that everyone in today's world has:"
He pauses in front of a set of traditional wood and paper doors, further inside the building than the lobby that Momo and Johan had entered less than half an hour ago. "Stands are not Quirks. They do not act like Quirks, not beyond the superficial level. They follow their own rules, almost completely unbound by the laws of the material world."
"And not understanding this has led to the deaths of countless Quirk Users." Edgeshot declares as he throws the doors open, revealing a rooms that is at once a perfect replica of a large dojo and a theater stage, complete with extensive rafters.
Rafters that are occupied. Momo spots at least three figures with 「Technologic's」 senses. A glance at Johan earns her a nod. He must have seen them too.
"Johansen-san."
Edgeshot's words draws their attention to the center of the room, where a ring of rice bags has been laid out. Momo and Johan jog to catch up with him, who is waiting by said ring.
"According to the files given to me by UA, you were the only one to possess a Stand when the year began. Is this correct?"
Johan clicks his tongue, but answers. "Yes. I have had 「Holy Diver」 since I was very little."
"I see. Then it is time for a quick assessment."
Edgeshot closes his eyes and nods at Johan. "I have never encountered Stand Users with drive and training, Johansen-san. We will begin whenever you are ready."
[] Johan hands her his things and prepares himself.
